Ducks Ditty is a well-appointed, single-storey cottage boasting a lovely position between the market town of Liskeard and the village of St Cleer, in Cornwall.
Once you have explored the stunning natural beauty of Bodmin Moor or walked the scenic trail along the South West Coast Path, take the weight off your feet in the open-plan living room.
Sink into one of the sofas and tune into the TV resting on the solid wood coffee table.
There is a bright and airy feel throughout elevated by a neutral colour scheme and thoughtful arrangement of some hand crafted furnishings.
You can rustle up a tasty meal in the modern kitchen and gather around the dining table to chat about the adventures you've had so far, or forget the cooking and discover one of the recommended local pubs/restaurants.
Sit and relax in the refreshing Cornish air of the surrounding countryside on the south facing patio which is ideal for a drink or two.
When the evening draws to a close choose from a double or twin room for your well earned rest, each with bedside tables, lamps and ample storage space.
There is also a wet room with a large walk-in shower and handrail, ideal for those travelling with someone slightly less able on their feet.
Liskeard is a thriving market town with many shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from.
The South West Coast Path is littered with beaches and hidden coves, an inspirational landscape taking you through some idyllic towns and villages.
You have Padstow, Port Issac and Tintagel in the North, whilst the pretty harbour town of Looe and pretty village of Polperro lie to the South.
Stretch your legs on Bodmin Moor with Colliford Lake, the man-made Carnglaze Caverns and beautiful Golitha Falls to discover.
The famous Eden Project offers a lovely day out with special events throughout the year, while the city of Plymouth beckons with shops, bars and a plethora of activities for all tastes and ages.

Property situated on a lovely private park of only 50 bungalows.
.Liskeard is 7 minutes drive a beautiful old market town...there are a lot of dog friendly beaches within a 30 minute car drive..Helen and Gillian have supplied dog towels and bowls and a lovely little book for dog walks and beaches which we found a great help..the bungalow is clean and a lovely touch is milk in the fridge and homemade brownies waiting for us

This was our 6th year of booking Ducks Ditty, its perfect for us as we have a physically disabled member of family, who can use his walker to go to the bathroom with no obstacles in the way, the wet room is equipped with safety rails.
There are very good instructions on how to use the appliances too, pet towels, bowls etc supplied, bungalow clean and tidy as we've found every year we've been,thankyou to Helen and Gillian for that and for the complimentary milk and homemade chocolate brownies which are so nice. We forgot to write in the guest book this time, but we would write exactly the same as the previous stays. Everything you need is there, brilliant. Only 1 negative would be the sofas being low, they are difficult to get out of, especially for elderly and physically disabled, but we enjoyed our stay at Ducks Ditty...

After booking Ducks Ditty, we received a 30 page of evrything we needed to know, from Helen.
We have stayed many times at Rosecraddoc in different bungalows all through Sykes. First impression was excellent, very clean and looked very nice. We discovered all was not as appeared, Settees were VERY uncomfortable great difficulty in getting in and out. Tried to get wifi, said devices over subscribed, tried to change but could only be done by the owner. Television very old and although Freeview, couldn't get all the stations. In other bungalows at Rosecraddoc Televisions are more modern. Shower Head would not stay up near the top of the raiser tube. all these faults we dicovered have been listed in the visitors book and a couple in their Listing. We have stayed in many Sykes properties, this was the 2nd worse for us over many years of using Sykes. We will not be staying again at this property, not reccomended for middle aged to the more elderly. Barry
Dear Barry, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you did not reach out to us to let us know of your issues before you left. I would have provided additional WiFi codes for you to connect to the internet. The shower head seemed to be perfectly ok when raised so I'm not sure why it wouldn't stay near the top of the raiser tube for you. Nobody has ever complained about the TV previously, but we will certainly look at the channel availability, though we acknowledge that it's not Sky TV. The only problem that has been reported with the sofas previously is the height which we are currently looking into. This will probably have to be bespoke made and therefore done out of season. Most of our guests are middle / old aged and many are returning guests, but we appreciate your critique. My email asks if you have any issues when you arrive to contact us. We are sorry that you felt you couldn't do this.
The cottage was lovely and clean ,the only thing that l would comment on was that the two sofas were very low and could do with being on blocks or something, as we are in our late 70s and l suffer from arthritis it made for difficult comfort ,the other thing was that the fridge was too low my husband had to get on his hands and knees to access it ,but we couldn't have chosen anything better ,soo peaceful and tidy ,we will be booking again .

The cottage was well presented with fresh milk and chocolate brownies there on arrival.
It is in a good location 2 miles from Liskeard town and a mile and a half from two supermarkets. The position in Cornwall makes it a good location to get to the attractions in the area. All in we had a lovely holiday thank you to Helen the owner of the cottage for ensuring we had a good time.
all in all a very enjoyable holiday the bungalow was clean and quiet and mostly as stated before our arrival.

We had a lovely time at the property.
We had a nice surprise on arrival with milk and chocolate brownies left for us. It's was very clean and Tidy with a box of toys and blankets to use for our dog. Everything worked. My only gripes would be settee you have to climb out of it and the fridge was far to low. Other than that, it's a great base to explore from and lovely bungalow and located in a lovely setting. Would definately recommend.

The cottage was very clean tidy and surprisingly spacious for a holiday bungalow.
The wet room was brilliant. Overall it was well equipped, and the owner had left a pint of milk and some home made brownies. My main issue was the size of the fridge, this a self catering holiday home and there is an under-counter fridge/freezer with a 50/50 split. We had taken food for the week,because we were aware there was no shop on site, but we could not get no wear near all off it in fridge. The outdoor seating was not comfortable to sit on for any length of time, it was stated in the information we were sent that there was a double bench outside but this was not present, due my husband disability he could not comfortably in the plastic chairs, so despite the weather being beautiful he was not able to sit outside with out the double bench. Finally the WiFi, the owner leave a code for each person, you need to go on line and fill in a form to activate your code, you need to put all your personal details on the form, name, address,phone number plus email address. I personally think this is unacceptable, but if you don’t you are without and the mobile signal is not good.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you found the bungalow clean, tidy and spacious and that the Brownies went down well. We are sorry that the fridge was too small for you. Most of our guests appreciate the 25% freezer space. There is plenty of cupboard space for food and of course there are 2 supermarkets within a 2 mile radius. We unfortunately had to change the seating the day you arrived so we apologise that you did not find it comfortable. The Wi-Fi is supplied and managed by a third party company and we supply codes to our guests. We pay for this to enable our guests free Wi-Fi access and do not charge you for this.
Very peaceful with the sound of a running stream, comfortable living accommodation with modern wet room, no outside bin for waste or dog poo.
Dogs had to be kept on lead outside, there was no enclosed outside space for dogs to run. Also the supplied frying pan in the bungalow is not suitable for the ceramic hob, keeps sliding off.

There is also a large blue bin for waste at the cottage. We apologise if this was not available. We will certainly look at the frying pan. Thank you.
Could not fault Ducks Ditty absolutely perfect.
Was home from home, had really cold weather and snow but stayed nice and warm. Wet room was a bonus furniture was very comfortable can't find anything negative to say. We will definitely be returning.

The only negative I have to mention is the heating.
. only one storage heater that hardly pushes out any heat is not adequate. Fortunately 2 oil heater’s and an electric heater was there and we had to use to keep us warm.. first thing in the morning was freezing and had to wait for the oil heaters to initially give us some warmth, plus put the oven on with the door open to help heat up the room…other than that all good

A clean, spacious, little holiday home.
Lovely decorated and well chosen objects and items that made it quite homely. Perfectly placed for both north and south coasts. Excellent wet room with easy to control shower (my 89 yr old, severely visually impaired, disabled mother coped fine). Beds clean and comfy, excellent kitchen/cleaning facilities. Lovely welcome brownies - thoughtfully provided with a list of the ingredients - and milk, much appreciated. Owner called a couple of days in to check all was ok, which was another thoughtful touch.

Bungalow very nice, big enough for two.
Beds clean and comfortable. We were disappointed with the smell of damp dogs but this went after a couple of days. Cushions on sofas smelt ‘dirty’ and covers were dirty with dog hairs. The seat cushions on both sofas were flat making it hard to get up, my disabled husband had so much trouble he had to sit at the table the whole week - tried sitting on the cushions but was unstable. The cold bathroom tap is still fierce, kitchen tap still drips, shower plug holes slow draining. The Pub had closed over a year ago, same for the shop. Will not be coming back, a couple we spoke to said the same about the sofas in their bungalow and said they won’t be back either. Sorry to be so negative but with all the ‘hype’ from other people we felt very let down. After saving for a year we were very disappointed.
We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at Ducks Ditty. We encourage our guests to contact us if there any concerns so that we can rectify them immediately. Our listing does not indicate that the pub is open as it has been closed since before Covid. There are however pubs within a short distance. There has never been an onsite shop. The listing states that dogs are welcome and the majority of our guests do bring their pets. Careful research of a property is a good idea before booking.
The cottage is clean, and well equipped, always smells lovely too.
If I had one thing negative about the cottage, it's the two sofas, a bit low for pensio ers and disabled people to get out of without a big struggle, but that is my only negative comment, we have been 4 yrs consecutive because its perfect for my disabled brother and elderly mum, the bathroom is a wet room, we find it perfect for us, 10/10 ..

! On arrival, the host has made everything feel comfortable and a true home from home. Would stay longer if we could!! Always clean, well equipped and even extras for the dogs should we need them. A great property with a fabulous host and the perfect location to enjoy the local woods and walks or for seeing further afield. A truly relaxing place to unwind and rest!

Well equipped accommodation . 2 parking spaces. Outside patio set. Wheelchair friendly. Very quiet site but kept very clean, just a stroll away from the manor grounds. 20 mins car journey from Looe, Bodmin and seaton beach. 5 mins car journey to The Crows Nest Inn for fabulous food and drink

We had a wonderful stay at Ducks Ditty.
I had my three children who are 11, 18 & 20 with me and of course our three year old Cocker Spaniel. I was amazed at how clean it was and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I took some fans as it has been so hot so that was handy on the hottest day. The grounds are maintained beautifully and everyone was comfortable. It was a great place to visit some of the sights in Cornwall from and very dog friendly. But be warned it is quite secluded so if you are after the more commercial sights, you will need to navigate the winding Cornish roads. However, if you want more secluded, slower pace where you can explore with the dog, then this is perfect. There is a recommendation of a nice walk with a pub that is dog friendly in the visitors book and we all said we would definitely return to take our beloved pooch there. I would highly recommend booking this place, the owners maintain it so well and there are lovely little personalised touches such as hand made biscuits on arrival and individually personalised cottages, bags with blankets, towels and bowls for the dog. It was simply a very pleasant stay. Thank you so much, we would love to return one day. We have some lovely memories of our time as a family there, the kids were able to get their Wi-Fi working, I was unable to but I didn’t mind, it was a welcome break for me. It was so nice to get them all off their devices and get outside in nature and we all thoroughly enjoyed taking a break from our busy lives.

This is our third year of coming to Ducks Ditty.
After our first stay, we fell in love with the property, how well maintained it was, how clean it was and everything there you could possibly need, a home from home. Cannot fault it in any way. All being well we will definitely be booking for our 4th year at Ducks Ditty, it is in a pretty setting, beautifully kept grounds and so peaceful. For us it's just perfect, so glad we came upon it.

Even though we had a great holiday and location was perfect the property did lack comfort.
For instance the beds where uncomfortable and too low. The dining room chairs so hard we could not sit at the table for any length of time. Plus the internet was intermittent. On the positive side the lodge was bright and airy with plenty of space. It was home from home with all the household things you could need. There was a good range of entertainment for when the weather was bad. Oh also for dog owners there is only one poo bin available on the whole sight, perhaps this could be looked into by the owners.

Just returned from Ducks Ditty and it was perfect.
Clean, spacious, everything you need and more. The personal touches are great. On arrival we were greeted by homemade carrot cake and milk, delicious and much needed. Plenty of information on local dog walks and dog friendly beaches. Recommend a visit to Port Isaac , absolutely stunning. Lovely holiday bungalow, very clean and fresh.
The property is well equipped for all your needs for your stay, even dog towels and dog bowls are provided. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend to others. Parking is right outside the door so easy for unloading and loading. Helen the host was very lovely and prompt at communicating . We had a great stay !

Lovely cottage, warm and cosy.
Nice welcome gift, well equiped with all the cooking facilities you need, tv, wifi etc. Lovely peaceful location. Dogs and cats made welcome. Great location for exploring all of Devon and Cornwall. The site would benefit from recycling facilities. As we are used to memory foam mattresses the spring mattress was a little uncomfortable for us, however this is just personal choice.

A really well laid out little place.
Lots of good communication from the owners. Thoughful touches. The area is perfect near lots of places we went to visit. Although it is incredibly dog friendly there is no enclosed outside space for sitting with dogs. Apart from that it is lovely. I already recommended to another dog owner before I left.

Ducks Ditty is the perfect 'home to return to after a day exploring stunning Cornwall.
The kitchen is so well equipped you can cook anything from a boiled egg to a full blown roast dinner should you so wish. Cleanliness second to none,peaceful and more or less central to most places you want to visit and a few little gems that you stumble across on your travels. Will be recommending Ducks Ditty to all friends and family especially those with dogs. Thankyou for making our holiday that little bit more special Ducks Ditty missing you x

I stayed at Ducks Ditty with my husband, elderly mum and our dog.
It is excellent accommodation in an ideal location for country walks with the dog on your doorstep plus travelling to scenic and coastal destinations. We all loved the bungalow, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our week away. The owner even provided milk and scones for our arrival, which was a lovely touch after our long drive from Southampton. We highly recommend this bungalow!

There was everything that one would need to enjoy this very comfortable bungalow. There were many thoughtful touches including the owners leaving milk, butter and cheese scones. There was actually an electric blanket on the beds, a first for me. I will certainly consider going back to this property. Only improvement would be a better patio area, it was a bit small.

Ducks ditty is set in a beautiful quiet area, this was our 2nd stay there and will most definitely be staying there again.

The storage heating was broken but plenty of additional heaters were available.

Close to the sea with enough space for the family.
Clean and spacious with excellent facilities. Some extra shelving in the bathroom would help storing toiletries for 4. Mirror on site exit would help when turning right as view to the left is a little restricted with vehicles travelling at speed. Overall a lovely site and a great break, thank you.
Ducks Ditty is just the perfect retreat!
Ideally situated to explore the Cornish moors and coastlines and with so many beaches locally, which are dog friendly, it made it a fantastic place to stay with our 3 dogs. We had everything we needed (including a little welcome pack of milk and cakes). Ducks Ditty was just what we needed to unwind from our hectic lives and the holiday village it is situated on was incredibly peaceful with woodland walks close by. Accommodation was fine, clean, as advertised.
The sofa was a little too soft for me - I prefer a firmer seat. Location was good, nice and quiet when we were there (October), also nice and warm. Television lost the signal, momentarily occasionally. WiFi limited to two items. If more connections were wanted it was quite expensive.
Exceedingly peaceful.
This cottage is well equipped and only a few minutes from the centre of Liskeard. It’s ideally placed for touring Cornwall or SW Devon.

It was the first time we stayed at Ducks Ditty but not the first time we had been to Rosecraddoc as we had been many times before as it is ideal place to stay for touring.
We found the bungalow had everything that we needed and was clean and comfortable,we spent most of the time out as we were lucky enough to arrive in a heatwave which lasted the whole week so weather wise it was fantastic. Would recommend and would come back again
Took my 90 year old mum and she enjoyed it, all things she needed was there .

Ducks Ditty was an absolute find.
The owners were extremely helpful when we requested additional wifi and also in purchasing tickets to the `Eden Project`. The Holiday home was comfortable and in a beautiful setting, completely ideal as a base to explore the hidden beauties of Cornwall. Our family had a wonderful holiday there.
Took two mobility limited parents (both in their 90s) both enjoyed the bungalow and their holiday.
Facilities worked really well, the wet room in particular was really appreciated. Would recommend.
The bungalow and location were excellent it was a real home from home with some really nice personal touches for us and the doggies, we would be happy to return again as the location and especially the bungalow made the holiday a special one, thank you.
Not only was the accommodation excellent in every respect, the pre arrival service from the owners was superb.
Ducks Ditty is also ideal for dogs. Highly recommended.
