The open-plan living space provides a welcoming atmosphere: the kitchen equipped with all the mod-cons to ensure mealtimes are a breeze.
The sitting area is a great spot to relax and unwind, with two plush sofas and a woodburning stove to add a rustic charm.
Gather around the dining table for six and enjoy a delicious meal before heading outside to explore the tranquil outdoors. Bi-fold doors lead to the patio with hot tub and furniture, creating the perfect opportunity for a spot of stargazing. When night falls, choose from three well-presented bedrooms; the master has a king-size with en-suite shower, whilst there is also another king-size and a twin.
Completing the interior is the family bathroom with bath and shower over, perfect for a freshen up. With its peaceful setting and a range of amenities on-hand, a stay at Primrose Lodge will be one to remember. A perfect spot.
If you are after peace and tranquility, this is it. Wonderfully helpful host. We needed a cot, which they didn't have but they went out and got a travel cot for us. Incredible. The lodge is warm, really spacious and the hot tub is such an added bonus. We cooked a lot in the lodge and there's plenty of what you need to produce a meal there if you don't want to drive out every day. Lovely walks straight from the front of the lodge. We loved our stay here and would unreservedly recommend it.
Primrose Lodge is one of three lodges with plenty of privacy space and parking between each lodge.
The lodge was spacious and can accommodate up to six people. There is plenty of room for the kids to run about and some handy goal posts in the field, well away from the lodge so guests do not need to worry about errant balls being intrusive. For the adults, the hot tub on the verandah was very welcome, patio furniture available and handy hooks for towels, etc. Inside, the lodge has a spacious ensuite bathroom off the double room, a family bathroom and a separate cloakroom toilet. There is plenty of cosy seating in the lounge and a dining table for six. The lodge was cosy and warm on entering which was a lovely surprise as the weather was appalling. We found the lodge relatively easily but Gary is always at the end of the phone with helpful hints and suggestions and will meet you on arrival. The nearest supermarket is at Crediton but for emergency shopping and cheap fuel there is a service station nearby. The lodge is situated in a rural area with beautiful views over the Devon countryside and whilst it is very quiet, it does not take long to drive down to the English Riviera or Exeter. We have visited the area before and recommend Babbacombe Model Village, especially great for kids, and Bygones Museum in Torquay, an unassuming gem of a museum. The fishing village of Brixham is a great place to get a cream tea and Dartmouth is great for river trips and a steam railway. The car ferry is a fascinating little trip too. Primrose Lodge is a lovely base to return to at the end of a busy day, clean and spacious. The owner, Gary and his daughter, Emma are committed to giving you a high quality lodge holiday and we were very grateful of their help.
We thought the accommodation was first class and was surprised how large the lodge was with plenty of space, with the added luxury of the hot tub we also loved seeing the local guests of pheasant and turkeys we would certainly book again
