Dartmoor View

Booked this accommodation without really knowing much about the facilities and location of venue.

Was truly amazed how clean the property was and how well equipped the kitchen was to do a full Christmas meal roasting a turkey, gammon and vegetables. There was sufficient cutlery to accommodate all of us. We were a party of nine adults with one child. The lodge was spacious and able to accommodate all of us with ease. The owner Claire was approachable and very accommodating and made us feel extremely welcomed. We were greeted with Christmas gifts and a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely Christmas card. Claire had decorated the lodge for us with a Christmas tree and lights. This definitely was an extra touch providing a festive spirit in the lodge, truly could not fault anything about facilities cleanliness and space. It felt like home from home, the lodge was very warm and cosy. Sadly the leisure facilities were closed for the duration we were there, which didn’t dampen spirits as there was plenty for us to do and see. Booked this lodge on the spur of the moment and was truly not disappointed, had an amazing experience and Claire the owner was a brilliant, would highly recommend and book again.

The cottage slept 8 but didn't seat 8.

Table had 8 chair but you couldn't all sit round it as no elbow room at all. One sofa very uncomfortable but again the together would be hard pressed to seat 8. Was fairly clean but kept walking through cobwebs .The welcome book was handy but could have done with some information on walks in the area. Owner was very helpful with arrival information, etc. Evan texted us ro let us know the cottage was ready early. On the plus side the cottage was well equipped and the views were amazing

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Dartmoor View!

The house is spotless, nicely furnished and has all of the amenities we could ever need!! The location is ideal, we visited the nearby Donkey Park, Looe, Polperro, Plymouth & Crealy! We also dined at the Rifle Volunteer which was a 15 min walk away where the food was AMAZING! Claire, the owner of Dartmoor View could not have been more accommodating! She welcomed us early what with having a baby and assisted with any questions we had before/after our stay. If it wasn’t for the 6 hour drive from home we would already be booking our next trip! Thank you very much!!

The only issue was hot water, as soon as someone had a bath, the rest had to wait to have a shower.

May I suggest having a combi boiler installed.

Lovely and clean Great indoor pool Close to train station The only thing is most of the attractions are a 40+ minute drive

Dartmoor view was the perfect holiday destination for us.

The house was clean and child friendly. It was an excellent base to explore the local area including Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley. The onsite facilities were also fantastic and kept the whole family entertained. The children are very keen to go back!

A brilliant location for accessing Dartmoor, the coast and the Tamar Valley. The well appointed property was great for our extended family to get together. A great find.

A lovely stay, the lodge was perfect for our two families to meet up.

Adequately slept 9 of us and the property was clean and well equipped. Lots to explore locally and a bonus to have the swimming pool onsite.

Found the lounge furniture abit low.

The added extra would be a tv in the bedrooms

The property was lovely, I think the only thing I would have liked was fans in the bedrooms as in the hot weather it's really stuffy, but the property was lovely and well presented and we had a lovely time there.

A good size accommodation for a family holiday and would definitely return in the future.

Holiday cottage lovely and good communication with / from the owner Claire.

Beds very comfortable. Excellent selection of kitchen equipment. A coffee maker and hairdryer would be the only things I would suggest- and possibly WiFi!

The villa had been refurbished to a high standard.

For us the beds where a bit hard but that’s down to preference. If we’re being picky WiFi would have been good although The kids loved the pool area as WiFi was available up there.

Clear precise website,easy to book, kept well informed on every stage of procedures.

The holiday lodge was superb in a lovely location with great views on a large site( dont be put off by that as it spreads over a big area). On site facilities were very good with the indoor pool & gym a bonus at Xmas time.Dogs very welcome & there are several superb walks from the park itself.

This is a very well equipped holiday home.

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 small children and did not feel cramped. The showers were excellent and,having two bathrooms, we weren’t queuing up. The owner also very kindly said we could stay on till the Sunday at no extra cost as she didn’t have a booking for the next week. Unfortunately we had to leave on the Saturday but the offer took the pressure off packing up which was much appreciated. Along with the beautiful view from the rear of the property, and the lack of neighbours out of season, we would highly recommend.

Great lodge, well furnished, very well equipped and very, very clean.

Only downside was lack of internet access in the lodge. Recommended however, great views.

Second time we have stayed at Dartmoor View and what a brilliant holiday once again.

The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. The site is within beautiful surroundings, and the evening entertainment was great! I can highly recommend staying here you wont be disappointed. Hope to be back again soon!

What a lovely place.

We were 4 generations and having upstairs and downstairs accommodation really made our stay. The house is bright and airy, well decorated and we had everything we needed. We used the indoor pool. Perfect for the whole family. We had a meal at the clubhouse and were well met by friendly staff. We even won the quiz one night! Claire text us in the morning of our arrival to let us know that we could check in early. 5his was a bonus. I would recommend a Tesco food delivery. Saved a lot of hassle and gave us more room in the car. We look forward to another visit. There was so much to do with days out to East Looe beach, Morewellham quay, 2 national trust properties, donkey sanctuary, trago mills in liskard, visit to tavistock , visit to Boscastle, Par sands.......

The perfect location for an extended family.

If we had wifi in the house it would have been perfect. And it was affordable. Thank you for comfortable accommodations.

The lodge was everything we expected and more.

Claire was very helpful and allowed us to stay longer at no extra charge as the weather had not been very good and she did not have anyone coming in the following week. Really recommend this lodge.

Fantastic little cottage perfect for what we need is very clean very well equipped and lovely decor.

Enjoyed every minute of our week at Dartmoor View. Would definitely recommend and will come back again soon. The accommodation was very well equipped and very clean. The entertainment was good and the kids loved the indoor pool. All in all a great holiday!!

The cottage was immaculate and beautifully decorated.

We had a great 2 weeks.

Fantastic location for exploring, the view from the property was lovely and it was very clean, well maintained and homely.

The children loved the evening entertainment and lee was an excellent entertainer. The pool was perfect for us all and we made use of it everyday. The food in the pub was top class. Couldn’t fault the holiday at all.

The outdoor pool is on the small side for the numbers using it on a fine sunny day.

The house was excellent, but WiFi in the house would be very welcome.
