3 Rosecraddoc Lodge

We enjoyed our break at 3 Rosecraddock.

The property is in a superb position on an extremely pleasant site. The chalet was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing stay in a beautiful area of Cornwall. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend a visit

Very helpful and flexible owners and were kind enough to let us postpone our stay because of injury.

Can't fault the facilities, except, if i am picky, we would have prefered a larger freezer compartment.

Good location, although a car is necessary for absolutely everything, despite descriptions of local walks.

There are no paths off site, so the only walks are through the small site, and immediate neighbouring site. You can walk about 300m out and back, which may suit for a small dog. The Manor House and grounds are out of bounds to people staying on 'our' two sites, and are signposted accordingly. Likes: Comfortably furnished with decent-sized beds. TVs in both bedrooms, with integrated DVD players, and a Smart TV & DVD combo in the living room too. The sound of the stream outside was lovely, but if you are put off by the thought of that noise, closed windows block the sound fully. The WIFI was good, and we were able to watch YouTube & Netflix comfortably on multiple devices. We loved the selection of board games (playing most of them) and DVDs too. So, we were well entertained. We paid a little extra for this property because it has a washing machine (£10 extra compared to other properties on the same site without one). This meant we could pack light, and with the airer supplied we could put the clothes outside to dry in the evening / overnight. Dislikes: The shower pressure is abysmal, which is a surprise given the pressure of the water through the taps. I have the exact same shower at home, so my thinking is that the pressure has been throttled for some reason. The bath is a standard size and was fine for everyone else, but at 6' 6", it wasn't an option for me. If you're at the property through the day (luckily we were only once), there is a loud dehumidifier running for a solid six hours from 10-4 (11-5 BST). Checkin / out. This is on the verge of ridiculous. We couldn't check in until 5pm and had to be out by 9am. As a family of four, we had no option but to leave the night before. I can only assume the same cleaning company services most of the properties on these sites, driving this rule. But even with this rule in place, the cleaning company is not doing their job properly, and they're clearly taking too much on. Some of the plates, cutlery, the baking tray, and a couple of the mugs were filthy with either wet or dried-on food. The larger frying pan was still coated in dirty oil. I don't think it takes the brains of an archbishop to work out that if a guest has to strip the beds, pack their car, wash up and dry up after a rushed breakfast, then vacate by 9am, things like this are going to happen. We didn't clean the stuff we didn't use, so I presume that's down to the next guests to deal with. Sykes, please get a grip of this and ensure your guests are treated reasonably! We've used your site for many stays over the last few years, without any issue whatsoever, but basic processes like checkin / out times should not be a lottery, or they should be clearly published beforehand. Overall, decent value for money due to the very low price we got this for, but I wouldn't have made this booking with the negatives in mind. If the things that bothered us wouldn't bother you, you'll love it, but this is an honest appraisal to make you aware of the things I wish we'd been made aware of beforehand.

Lovely spot and very quiet. The premises are really nice. Everything you need from a ‘home from home’ experience. Would definitely stay here again. Dog friendly which is a bonus. Many thanks, really enjoyable stay.

. on arrival and opened door I was shocked by a stench of horrible smelling air freshers.. Then realised they where in every room. Don't know what the need for so many. Opened kitchen cupboards to make a drink, and pulled out a mug and a glass both where definitely not cleaned properly as they had fresh coffee/ tea stains. So entering the bedroom pretty sure the bed was not freshly made as had dog hairs and not smellimg fresly washed. In bathroom hairs in the bath .. so had to clean the bath so could shower. Also mirrored cabinet, opened it and it was full of dust amd dirty with smears. Sadly as met a few nice people in the area .. 100% wouldn't stay there again.

Great bungalow as expected welcome pack on arrival explaining how to do this that and tuther only winge from me took me a bit of time to find the hidden pull power on /off for shower in the ceiling not on not on the what to do pack left by owner but will deffo use again

The lodge was emaculate,and had everything you could wish for.

It was decorated to a very high standard.And I would definitely recommend a holiday there

Beautiful cottage offering a very comfortable and enjoyable holiday.

I have mobility problems and it’s ideal as there is only a small step to enter the property, thus it’s perfect for those with disabilities. Only criticism is the fridge is too small and has a broken shelf. A fridge/freezer in the dining room would help no end. This was our second visit and we will be booking another stay soon. Many thanks to the very kind, helpful owner.

It is a beautiful site and a good location I have stayed on this site before. The cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean and would recommend. Thank you for the tea coffee and biscuits.

Lovely comfortable accommodation, my 3 visit

Lovely little lodge with everything you need for your stay.

We had a plot next to the stream so we had the wonderful sound of water going to bed. It was clean inside and smelt lovely when you walked in. The site is only about 5 mins from Liskeard.

What a fantastic little bungalow.

If you are thinking about booking this property just do it. It has everything you need and for anything extra there is an Aldi and Morrisons a short 5-10 minute drive away. It was clean and tidy and the perfect base for our adventures in Cornwall. The most gorgeous beaches are min. 25 minutes away but there's a lake and some gorgeous waterfalls 10 minutes from the bungalow. The owners leave a pack with places to go and recommended restaurants. My children who are 5 & 8 didn't want to leave there were games for them to play, TVs in every room and a quiet road to ride their scooters. We fell asleep to the sound of the stream that runs up the side of the bungalow every night. We would absolutely love to go back again it was even better than we imagined.

Rosecraddoc Holiday Village is a relaxing escape from the cares of the world.

My chalet was perfectly equipped for all my needs. Liskeard is only a 5 minute drive away. The location allows easy access to many Cornish attractions. I will definitely return.

Looked just like on the pictures we liked it as it was lovely and quiet and we had the stream behind us. Only down fall would be bushes could do with cutting back near pic nic table or patio area extend out to the grass so you could use your own chairs if not you would have to sit behind the car also be nice if they got rid of one of the storage bins moved the other one down and the wheelie bin that way you would put your own chairs behind the bungalow in the shade as no shade out the front and nice to sit next to the stream coming out is a blind junction you cannot see what is coming from the left if turning right and they come at speed .a mirror on the tree opposite would help and also coming back into the park blind as bushes block view. Other than that nice place they left out a few teabags, sugars coffee and UHT milks and a packet of biscuits better off bringing your own also bring loo rolls only 1 loo roll supplied. It's a very goodbase for going all overCornwall and Aldi 5 mins up the road. Would recommend. If you don't want any noise and a relaxing stay. As nothing on site. Would definitely give it a 10/10 and would stay here again but would prefer to be closer to one of the lovely beaches.

A lovely holiday cottage on the outskirts of Liskeard.

Very roomy for a family of 4 with everything we needed. The kids loved the idea of a TV in their room and the Connect 4 flip game was a hit (Children 10&12). Beaches are a short drive away. We were visiting family in the area.

This was a superb bungalow-type layout, spacious and well-equipped.

we found it easy to slip into Liskeard and then tour by bus, or go by car. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable base for touring from.

The bungalow was lovely, very welcoming, lovely and clean, everything was to hand even the folders to tell us what’s on and where, we had no problems, we enjoyed our stay very much, what a beautiful quiet place, the scenery was breathtaking.

This is our 2 visit to No3 and had a wonderful time, pity about the weather.

Property was in a great central location to get around Cornwall.

It is set in a lovely quiet area. It was clean and more spacious than we anticipated. We had everything we needed to make this stay enjoyable.

The bungalow was warm and cosy, despite the wet weather during our stay. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. It's a great location for exploring both north and south coasts of Cornwall and also Bodmin Moor. We wi no doubt be back again in the future.

This is a very comfortable holiday bungalow. It is such a convenient site for visiting lots of cornwall.

We have been visiting rose craddock lodge for the past ten years now, and this was our third visit in number 3.

This was our very first visit away from our own home at Christmas time, so a lot of mixed feelings, but after a long journey we stepped in to a lovely warm place to stay, beautifully decorated for Christmas, what a really lovely thing to have done for us. We know our way around the area now, but just to say to any body that may be thinking of visiting the location is excellent for site seeing any where in Cornwall, thank you again to all concerned.

Booked a midweek break away with our two kids to this lovely quiet holiday park around 1hr drive to Newquay and Perranporth our favourite spots, it was sadly forecast to rain all week prior to going.

Turned out we had three full days of sun and clear skies, it was great. Allocated parking on this chalet and though the photos don't show this, the chalet was detached which is a real plus. Situated directly behind is a stream of crystal clear water. The interior is well equipped for a comfortable stay with ample living space, well equipped kitchen with washing machine. In the living area is a comfortable sofa, chairs, TV, DVD and a selection of DVDs plus a cupboard of board games for rainy days in. Even have air conditioning unit if needed, though we left this off. Only feedback for owners would be regarding the considerable amount of small ornaments on the windowsills and in bedrooms which we had to store away upon arrival to stop our curious three year old getting hold of them, something to bear in mind for anyone staying with toddlers. That and a lack of power socket alongside the bed in main bedroom, had to charge phone on the floor at the end of the bed but wasn't a big issue. All in all had a great time and another enjoyable Cornwall stay at Rosecraddoc. Would stay again and will certainly recommend to friends and family.

A good place to relax lovely and quiet, the only problem was that the oven could be updated.

This was our fourth visit to this prperty - and definitely not our last!

Ideal location to reach both sides of Cornwall.

Was clean and spacious but had a strong smell of damp/fustyness that left all our clothes smelling and was there all week even when heating was put on, hit you as soon as you entered the door. Would happily return if this was sorted as everything else was great and location was lovely and quiet.

Just come back from our FOURTH holiday at 3 Rosecraddock.

It will not be our last. Unfaultable.
