Sir George Baker Cabin

We spent a week here and the location of the property was ideal with plenty of pubs and a lovely walk away from lyme regis beach.

The property has stunning views with plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained. We was welcomed by the owner who was more than helpful and was very warm and welcoming. We loved it here the only thing for us which is maybe personal preference was that the bed was way too firm making it hard to wind down after a busy day and waking with a bad back. We would love to return if the mattress was made more comfortable as everything else was perfect.

This was our second holiday in the Sir George Baker Cabin and our week was just as good as our first visit.

The location is ideal, calm and peaceful yet close to beautiful Lyme Regis. The cabin is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We especially loved the Hot Tub and watching the birds and squirrels sharing the bird feeders from the patio

We had a fantastic stay at the property it was superb the owners are great people and can't do enough to help you they are great, the property was spotless and the birds and wildlife were lovely Would recommend this property to anyone it was superb thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Everything you would need included and attention to detail. Superb views from the cabin and the added attraction of the bird feeders ! Lovely river side walk into Lyme Regis. A lovely few days spent exploring the area. We can highly recommend the cabin and the helpful owners.

A relaxing laid back holiday in a beautiful location surrounded by wildlife, trees and great views.

The George Baker cabin is very comfortable and cosy for two people and not overlooked. A nice big Hot Tub to relax in with a nice country view. Justin the owner is very friendly and willing to help you If need be. You could not ask for more. A short walk away Is the Talbot Inn for pub meals and the people there are also nice and friendly. You have nice wide parking for your car.

Beautiful cabin and spotlessly clean!

Lovely view across the garden, fields and over to the village. We enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeder and were lucky enough to see two dear in the nearby field. I would suggest bringing an extra layer if coming in cold weather as the one radiator in the bedroom didn't warm the main living area sufficiently. Would definitely return for a warmer weather break through!

A lovely spot for a getaway Near Lyme Regis within walking distance (50mins) We spent 3 nights walking and relaxing in the hot tub when we got home looking at the stars Perfect place for a quiet getaway Host was helpful with local Knowledge and the cabin was clean with attention to detail and design

The surrounding of the cabin was just divine. Our hosts paid so much attention to details, we were able to enjoy everything the cabin offered without any difficulty. We look forward to coming back

Sir George Baker Cabin is perfect.

The accommodation is well designed, very comfortable with thought given to every comfort. The hot tub is blissful. Hidden away on a country estate one can escape.

Absolute gem.

Enjoyed every minute. Justin was a super host. The location was great for exploring the jurassic Coast. Had a lovely meal at the Talbot Arms and meeting the local cat. Enjoyed using the hottub and seeing the birds feeding in the garden. Saw a nuthatch fir the first time. Would highly recommend for a couples quiet get away.

We enjoyed an excellent week.

The property was extremely clean and well equipped. Justin the owner was friendly and welcoming and had already answered a question we had prior to arrival, promptly. We were seeking a bit of quiet relaxation and could not have chosen better holiday accommodation. The hot tub was fantastic and provided great views while soaking. The decor was beautiful and added to the air of calm. A long private driveway set us back on a private estate but we were still close enough for a good walk following the stream into Lyme Regis and all it has to offer. We have over 30 years self catering experience and have never stayed in better and will definitely return. Thank you Justin

What a magical place!

Beautiful accommodation and if you are a nature lovely the deer visiting the garden and the bird variety was fabulous. Hot tub gorgeous and private. We only live an hour away and so glad we do because we will definitely be going back next year. Host was there as we arrived and was very welcoming and informative. Highly recommend.

The lodge was excellent and Justin was helpful.

It is in a fantastic setting and very private. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed our stay here and when we next decide to visit Dorset this will be our choice of place to stay.

We were looking for peace and relaxation and that's exactly what we got at the Sir George Bakers lodge.

Attention to detail was superb the views from the veranda were stunning with an abundance of wildlife and we were entertained by the birds visiting the feeders daily. The hot tub was fantastic and kept in top condition by the owners. The owners were great hosts, they were available if needed and respected our privacy. Thank you to Justin and his family. We will definately be visiting again.

Clean and comfortable with all mod cons. Beautiful scenery. Owners were very nice. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend.

Hosts are lovely. The clean, comfortable cabin is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Attention to detail in the decoration and lighting is excellent. Fabulous views and a wonderful hot tub to relax in. Would highly recommend the cabin for a holiday, short stay or special occasion.

This is a delightful property with the wow factor for couples in a lovely location.

Tastefully designed and furnished, it is comfortable and peaceful. We appreciated the warm welcome from the hosts who are keen to ensure all guests have a wonderful stay. We would like to plan a return visit in due course.

Great little property for two.

Only let down was the size of the sofa and storage space for clothes in bedroom. Could have done with a chest of draws in the cubby hole. Apart from that fantastic, very peaceful and private. Super clean too.

Enjoyed a great stay at the Cabin.

It’s in a lovely, peaceful location overlooking rolling countryside whilst handily located for Lyme Regis and the coast. The space was great for the two of us, and was very thoughtfully kitted out, comfortable and clean. Nice outdoor decking area complete with hot tub which we used every night! The owners live on site and were really helpful. Would definitely return to Sir George Baker Cabin!

Very quiet with wonderful countryside views yet close to Lyme Regis and the beach. The cabin was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. I loved the hot tub, especially with the fairy lights. We both enjoyed watching the variety of birds from the balcony. Our thanks to Justin and his family for replenishing the bird feeder. A wonderful holiday. We will come back!

Beautiful well-appointed cabin, situated among a wonderful vista of trees with a fascinating variety of bird-life (an added attraction if one was 'cabin-bound').

Had an amazing long weekend away in the cabin.

The cabin was clean, well equipped, modern, comfy and everything had been thought of that you could need. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay! I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Sir George Baker Cabin is secreted within a tree and shrub haven in the grounds of a 1847 house.

Great attention to detail has been given to create extremely comfortable, roomy studio-type accommodation. The hot tub is glorious with spreading arms of a pine tree forming the canopy with a view over a deep valley. Our hosts were fun and generous with their time introducing footpaths.

We were first guests to stay here.
