This wonderful holiday home is aptly named after its old purpose a sewing shop in the village and retains its charm with exposed stone walls, original beams and velux windows, it also benefits from a fabulous location within reach of the golden shores of Swanage Beach and the wonders of the AONB; the perfect choice for families, friends or couples looking for a fun-filled holiday with their dog.

Cross the threshold into an open-plan living space where the warmth of the electric fire greets you, step straight into the fully-equipped kitchen to help whip up delcious meals that the whole family can enjoy around the dining table.

After dinner, grab some tasty treats, a glass of your favourite tipple and sink into either of the plush sofas to enjoy a well-earned movie night on the Smart TV.

When sleep calls, head into the ground-floor bathroom to freshen up before catching up on some sleep in either the king-size or twin bedroom on the first floor; there is also a handy sofa bed for additional guests or flexible sleeping arrangements.

Outdoor enthusiasts will also be in their element thanks to the 630 mile long South West Coast path, the shores of Swanage Beach which offers exciting watersports like kayaking and paddle boarding and Kimmeridge Bay which is the perfect spot for rockpooling, snorkelling and surfing.

From here you can also embark on a relaxing stroll to the charming Square & Compass pub in Worth Matravers, perfect for refuelling after exploring a plethora of fantastic walks along the Jurassic Coast such as Old Harry Rocks.

History is also woven throughout the surrounding area, tour the 1000 year old ruins of Corfe Castle, the clifftop Clavell Tower or venture further afield to visit the Red House Museum and Gardens and Norman House.

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
