Ammonite is in a superb location in Lyme Regis.

The town, beach, bars, restaurants, the Cobb and all local amenities are within walking distance. The accommodation is very well equipped. TV did not work due to bad internet connection but wasn’t a problem for us. Property was clean and tidy on arrival. Lovely welcome pack! Truckle bed was difficult to use due to the room being very small. It was so great to eat all our meals outside overlooking the sea. We had great weather all week!!

Absolutely love staying here.

The cabin was spotless and so cosy. The views are breathtaking and everything is just a few steps away. Can't wait to come again x

Ammonite is the perfect location for a relaxed and comfortable stay!

We have stayed several times and love it - all the facilities are just right: kitchen, linen, welcome pack, decking etc. The chalet faces towards the sea and so the views are amazing and there’s sunshine all day long. It’s comfortable and cozy even when the sun isn’t shining. Free parking is a bonus. Hoping to return when there’s a space on the bookings calendar!

Welcome pack with local goodies put a big smile on our faces. As with any accommodation there are some bits that show wear and tear (fencing, decking, loo seat) but it really is a lovely chalet and we hope to return. Lots of attention has been taken to get the little details right, which we appreciated. Fabulous location, lots of room, easy parking, lovely linen and towels. Thank you!

We loved Ammonite, from the lovely welcome pack to the comfortable, clean and homely cabin.

The cabin was equipped with all the necessary equipment, comfy beds and lovely cosy bathroom! The wow factor was the sea view from the deck-views of the Cobb and the beach. Easy walk to town along the promenade and back through the park. A real treat for a few days! Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of time to refresh and reset.

What a gem Ammonite is.

We had wonderful weather and we had our dog (Airedale) with us so the veranda was perfect knowing he was safe. Loved the seaside theme throughout. Excellent use of space, comfortable beds, welcome pack contained quality local products. Loved waking up to that view and watching the sunrise over The Cobb. We felt thoroughly relaxed and recharged. TO THE OWNER (NOT TO BE PUBLISHED) We feel the decking needs some attention. There are a few spots where they are very rotten and need replacing. Just a suggestion but an outside sofa with cushions would be lovely, something a little more comfortable. I know this has it's own problems with people leaving cushions outside but a storage box outside for them and strict instructions. We hope to return in the near future, we loved every minute of our weekend. We were the guests who had problems with the TV, which was rectified and thankyou for the bubbles!

Ammonite is a very comfortable and well equipped chalet.

It is in a great location overlooking Monmouth beach and the Cobb. The large enclosed decking area is perfect for dining, sunbathing or simply enjoying the view. The beach is a couple of minutes away and it takes about 10 minutes to walk into the town. The interior is light and bright and comfortably furnished and there is a well designed kitchen area. The beds are comfortable and the shower works well. We loved staying there and hope to return but I see it is already getting booked up for next year!

Place was lovely and clean wonderful welcome pack nice touch. Just needs a bit of upgrading to outside of property. But would love to come back next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ammonite and can see a lot of work went into it to transform it to what it is today.

It is in a perfect location with everything you could need provided.The only thing that lets it down is the tired decking and outside furniture, such a shame because the sea view is a jewel in its crown.

As usual the interior of the chalet was clean and tidy and the new window blinds were a nice addition.

However the exterior would benefit from cleaning and maintenance. The decking had been replaced in some areas but the perimeter fence is showing signs of deteriorating around the fence posts which could cause problems if someone leaned too heavily on it! The brambles on the eastern side of the property are very overgrown and need to be cut back as they are blocking the view of the Cobb. We have already booked to return next year and will be interesting to see if my comments have been acted upon.

This is my third visit to Ammonite.

A very comfortable place, wonderful position, overlooking the sea. Very well equipped. However the outdoor patio furniture is needing some love and attention, it looks sad and let’s the place down. I have rebooked for next year so fingers crossed that this will be rectified.

We were off to a good start when arriving at the office for the key collection, where the staff were extremely kind and helpful.

The good vibes continued when arriving at the chalet, which looked very nice and had a fantastic view out to sea and was in a perfect location, being very close to all amenities. Inside the decor and layout had clearly been arrived at, by the owners great care and attention to detail, making it feel very homely. As we had our little Yorkshire terrier with us, the large enclosed veranda was just perfect, although some of the furniture was looking a bit tired. We would definitely recommend it and will most likely book it again.

We loved staying at your property.

I can clearly see you care and wasted no effort in creating a beautiful place. We are more than happy to come back and stay there. One very minor thing I’d like to mention is that the coffee in the welcome pack wasn’t good. It’s a shame everything else was amazing. It tasted rancid but this is not your fault. Other than that, we are a very happy customer.

I must admit that we were worried about staying in a chalet in the autumn but it was very cosy.

The chalet was well equipped and clean and the perfect place to get away from it all. Wonderful views across Lyme Bay and beyond.

Lovely location,we both enjoyed our stay as did our Welsh terrier Nelly.

A reading light in the main bedroom would have been useful and after dark there is no street lighting if walking to a restaurant .However it did not spoil a very happy few days for us.

We loved our Stay at Ammonite, we are a family of 4 (kids 4-7) it was the perfect size for four nights, super cosy and comfortable.

The location is beautiful overlooking the sea. You can never get enough of that. The property itself was extremely clean and it has everything you might need for a relaxing stay. It was lovely and we enjoyed it so much

As soon as we arrived at ammonite we felt at home.

The chalet is beautifully set up and the decor is lovely. The location is perfect and we had a fabulous week. There are so many little touches that made the stay perfect for us and for our dog. We are ready looking at returning next year. It’s a beautiful retreat.

It was a pleasure to stay at Ammonite , such a well equipped ,tastefully appointed, conveniently situated chalet.

The attention to detail was so good and the generous Welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The completely secure decking area was a bonus ,as we were able to leave the doors open without the fear or our miniature dachshund taking himself for a walk!Despite very unfriendly weather, we enjoyed our stay, Thank you.

Lovely chalet and perfect sea views.

We really enjoyed our stay and the property is equipped with excellent cooking facilities. The inside decor has a sea theme and there is a lovely table and chairs outside for eating. The only real problem for us was that we had no internet for our stay. We reported the problem on the first day once we had tried to reboot and do all the obvious things. We were hoping for a resolution but none came during our stay. Apart from that, we reported a problem with the bathroom fan which was fixed instantly by Andy the maintenance man. I informed the company that the internet had not been fixed and I hope it will be available for the next visitors.

Quite simply this is a wonderful property to stay on, especially I think for two adults and their furry friend.

Extremely clean and comfortable with all equipment you could need. Gorgeous views and the constant sound of the sea. We would happily have stayed longer. Plus the car space is always an added bonus! Thank you, we had a lovely time.

We loved ammonite.

Location was perfect and we loved the dog friendly beach for walks. Lyme Regis has everything you need. The chalet was spotless. Very well equipped and beds really comfy. Enclosed dog friendly decking a lovely space and safe for our mini schnauzer daisy to wonder about on. Feeding the birds is always fun. The parking space is a massive bonus. We have already booked for May 2025. Can’t wait to return.

Lovely location and extremely quiet.

Everything we needed, although no soup ladle! The main bedroom is small, but ok for one person. Sadly no room for suitcase and no bedside table or bedside light. Would it be possible to have bunk beds in that room and the double bed in the other? Would def return.

We had a wonderful time at Ammonite.

Have visited Lyme many times, our first stay this end of town. Brilliant location with view of the sea and close to dog friendly Monmouth beach. Loved the decor on the blue, the colour of the sea! Could tell it was loved and used by owners. Kitchen well equipped. Only niggle was that the double bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable. We will be back!

Great little place, super clean and tidy, plenty of utensils in the kitchen which was great!

Mattress on the double bed could do with being replaced, but other than that I can't fault it! Location is perfect, short walk into town, even shorter walk to the beach! We will definitely be returning!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was as described and as shown in the photographs. Fantastic views and a great location, so near the Cobb and Beach - both visible from the property. And a real sun trap! Excellently equipped kitchen, with every utensil or piece of glassware or crockery we needed. And plenty of storage. Beach themed decor throughout is a lovely touch, and welcoming. A slight issue when we arrived was that the keys we collected didn’t have the fob for the barrier from the carpark, but this was quickly sorted so not an issue. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Our 4th stay here at Ammonite as the location is perfect and the outside space is dog proof.

Well equipped and cosy. Unfortunately we had no Internet for the first three days and LBH insisted it was an ongoing problem in the area. However, hubby sourced and fitted a new internet cable and this solved the problem! As always, we enjoyed our break in Lyme Regis.

Another lovely stay at Ammonite perfect location well equipped we love this chalet will definitely will be back.

We have stayed at Ammonite last year and returned again this year.

Ammonite is situated in a very good location to the western end of Lyme Regis being right by the sea but in a quieter part of Lyme but also within close walking distance to all the amenities as well, all appear to be dog friendly. Love the large decked area, we used it constantly with beautiful surrounding views. Ammonite is well appointed with parking for one car just behind. There is a locking gate you should always remember to close as you go out as a public carpark is situated just alongside the chalets and desperate day trippers (especially over the weekends) will try and park up where they shouldn't so always lock as you go, many don't! Eating out we loved Tom's (fish) restaurant and also The Harbour Inn both on the main beach front, BOOKING WELL IN ADVANCE IS A MUST you won't get a walk-in certainly not at peak times. For us the weather was kind, so all in all once again a lovely stay. DOG OWNERS PLEASE BE AWARE ITS TICK SEASON AND OUR DOG GOT BITTEN AND I HAD TO REMOVE A MONSTER TICK SO MAKE SURE YOUR DOG HAS BEEN TREATED BEFORE YOU COME DOWN, CHECK YOUR DOG AFTER EACH WALK AND PACK A TICK REMOVING TOOL AND ANTISEPTIC CREAM JUST IN CASE.

We have just returned from a week staying at Ammonite.

The chalet was clean and tidy and had all you needed for a week away and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The enclosed outside space was perfect to relax in the evening with a glass of wine. So many pubs and places to eat within a short walk. We will be returning.

A beautiful chalet with a beautiful view.

Very peaceful! A big outdoor space for dining and relaxing. Well equipped too many things to mention but everything you need inside and going to the beach. All in all wonderful. The only gripe is the double bedroom which is claustrophobic! The truckle bed should be listed as spare bed! Perfect for an adult or child. Parking available free of charge.

Comfortable but feels tired, decking needs replacing and exterior furniture aged well, loose plinth under kitchen sink and kitchen tap often vibrates when used and constantly drips.

Very noisy extract fan in bathroom. Would suggest replacing TV with larger size and updated smart type. Also used washing machine once but kept going into fault, but may have been user error. However a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our week.

The views were stunning and it is so peaceful. We wish we could have been able to put the umbrella up but we we were not strong enough. we found the chalet very hot because we were lucky with sunny weather. Please could there be a ventaxia in the bathroom as it is airless It was beautifully fitted out . We can’t wait to return! Thank you so much for enabling us to stay.

Bijou, cute and perfect in every way.

It has everything you need, was in excellent order and cleanliness and the terrace area afforded privacy and excellent sea views. We got a sense of the owners and it felt like we were staying in a friends holiday home. It's situated a very short flat walk to the beach and to the promenade with the shops behind. You are surrounded by beautiful walks, we walked the coastal path and also the Lim River walk, both exceptionally beautiful in spring with the lush greens and abundant spring flowers and birdsong. The chalet welcome pack was a nice touch! Couldn't fault our stay at all and hope to return, recommended it to our friends and family too.

Having read previous reviews I would agree that there were some old cobwebs and dirt in corners where a bit more attention could have been given like the shower door runners.

Would have liked a clothes airer for inside use and a potato masher! Plenty of cocktail making equipment but no masher! There was lipstick marks on some of the glasses however. The bin in the kitchen no longer flips up which is very annoying dishwasher tablets but no washing up liquid. We loved the position of the chalet but felt it was expensive for something that is quite tired. The hot water tap has an air lock so makes an annoying sound and there were a lack of purple sacks. Also rather than a welcome pack with expensive items would rather have had a larger milk some bread, butter and Nespresso pods. None of the clocks worked either and there was a lot of ornaments everywhere felt like you were staying in someone’s home and you were in the way - it left little space for you to put your things.

The location of Ammonite was fantastic.

To wake up and see the sea was awesome. The kitchen was well equipped and is was great to have a dishwasher and washing machine. There were a few niggles which need mentioning - The garden gate will not stay closed without the use of a stone which is not very child and pet safe. Patio doors which are the main access are hard to open and close. As the weather was very hot we opened the second section which is very hard to close - needs two people. There were cobwebs in the lounge and an old dog's bone under the sofa. On arrival no loo roll :( For the three of us and a small dog, Ammonite was perfect. Thank you so much :)

Generally very nice could do with lighter duvets and a cloth’s airer

Perfect place to stay.

This is purely petty but I would have liked a mirror in the double bedroom and some shelves in the bathroom. Had a fabulous stay there and wild love to come back again. So peaceful and quiet. Lots of wild birds singing their hearts out and the birds that came for your tit bits of blueberries and grapes. All came so close. The beach themed interior was lovely. Can't praise it enough. Thank you

Ammonite is in a superb location with lovely views of the coastline.

Adequate parking for one car with public parking close by albeit rather pricey. The chalet has everything you need for a weeks stay, very close to the Marina, restaurants, pubs and shops but also generally peaceful and relaxing, lovely welcome pack left for us as well. We have one dog and we give Lyme Regis the thumbs up for being very dog friendly with 3 out of the 4 beaches allowing dogs, the main Marina beach does not allow dogs and thats quite understandable as families with children predominantly use this beach. I have one small gripe that apart from leaving the chalet tided up and the kitchen area wiped down and utensils washed and put away and rubbish taken out, which we always do, we were also asked the bag up all the towels, strip the beds inc. mattress protectors and put in bags as well.....for the price paid I think this is something that should be done for us.....that said we have booked again for next year as we love this chalet.
