Comfortable place with a good view of the Cobb and charmouth.

Though small it had all we needed for our 4 night stay, the only thing we struggled with was not having a third hob on the cooker though we worked around that without issue. The shower could do with a limescale clean and the dark grouting we thought was mould to start with but we were very happy with the cabin and would return again.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Cabin.

Great location, a real 'hideaway' yet close to town and the beach. Ideal base for a 'chill out' holiday.

Very cozy with fantastic location

Very cosy and peaceful place to stay.

Lovely to have sea views and terrace. Very convenient parking and short walk to the town centre and coast. Good facilities overall including adequate seating and lighting. The shower cubicle is small but adequate, though the water did run cold now and again. We would definitely return!

Lovely relaxing stay at the Cabin.

Amazing location and view, and the owners were welcoming but not intrusive. The cabin was compact but contained everything needed for a short stay, the bag of Dorset goodies and milk was greatly appreciated. Yes the fridge is tiny, but adequate to store items for simple meals, and there are plenty of cafes and shops within walking distance. I would recommend walking through the park to avoid the really steep hills! The shower was warm, but I suggest requires an update. The parking space was snug and positioned at the bottom of steep driveway but a very welcome addition to the accommodation. We really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin, and would definitely recommend it for a short stay, it was warm, clean and in a perfect position to enjoy the beautiful view of Lyme bay.

Warm and welcoming cabin with everything you need for a happy holiday.

The welcoming pack of local produce was a bonus and there was fresh milk in the fridge. My only suggestion would be the addition of an air fryer or microwave oven to add to the versatility of cooking facilities. The view from the deck was amazing and even in November we had sunshine to enjoy the view.

Lovely comfy accommodation with spectacular views out to sea ,a bonus to have parking in Lyme as the car parks can be very expensive , accommodation had every thing we need for our long weekend stay even sat on the decking in November as it was a lovely sun trap ,owners where very friendly and there if you needed anything , we found walking back through the park and gardens better than the road yes it's a steep walk but you wouldn't have the views without it

Triangular corner cupboards next to the bed restrict use, so storage for clothes was limited.

We also had to scrabble under the bed for sockets to charge phones and there was nowhere to hide the suitcases. However, the comfy furnishings, bed and appealing decor compensated for the snugness of the facilities. Owner was friendly/helpful and location very handy, as was the parking space. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend as a base.

A small but delightful hideaway in a prime location.

Ideal for walks in and around Lyme Regis. First class fish restaurant on doorstep. Compact but having all the facilities you would need for a very pleasant holiday. Siting out on the decking overlooking the harbour was one of the highlights of the week. Although steps to the Cabin might be difficult for those that are less mobile help was at hand from the very friendly owners of the property. Parking was also tight but with practice you soon get used to coming in and out.I would love to go back for another stay

The Cabin was perfect for our stay in Lyme Regis.

The accommodation had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The decked area was perfect for watching the sun rise each morning and set every evening and the views of the beach and Cobb were amazing. We also found the people of Lyme Regis really helpful, friendly and kind. There were lots of great places to eat nearby and enjoyed visiting Seaton, Sidmouth and West Bay too.

We thought it a great shame that the marvellous view of the sea and the harbour was not visible from the one main room other than when standing.

Also when seated outside on the balcony, a clear view of the sea was obscured by the handrail, which is at eye level. Other than this it was fine.

Set within the garden of the owners beautiful property. Lovely couple who can’t do enough for you to make you feel welcome.

Lovely stay in a fabulous location.

So quiet given how it is very much on the front with super views, 5 minutes from the sea at most. Very friendly owner who lives next door if we had any queries or problems.

You will probably never find a better view associated with a property than this one - quite spectacular, with a beautiful associated garden and lovely veranda catching the sea breezes.

A gentle walk into town via the nearby park and a good restaurant (literally) on your doorstep if you need it. Location-wise this is excellent (the parking is very tight). The Cabin was perfectly comfortable, though I would have liked slightly better kitchen facilities for a self-catering holiday. Certainly a bigger fridge is needed, and a little portable oven would be nice (though a decent sized fridge to go with it is needed!). That was my biggest quibble. Otherwise this is a perfectly excellent holiday location with plenty to do locally.

This was our second holiday at The Cabin.

What a great location - and we had perfect weather for lounging on the deck looking to the harbour and wider seascape while listening to the world go by. Due to dietary requirements we exclusively catered 'at home' and the kitchen area provides everything for one's needs. We do find the mattress rather soft but that's a fairly small point. The owners are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. Returning home yesterday I immediately booked again for next year. It's a true 'get away' spot.

The view is incredible.

We had glorious weather and opening up the window in the morning is incredible. The cabin is quaint and has everything needed for your stay. Kitchen small and a little awkward to get plates etc out of the cupboard drawers, and you had to shut the screen to open the tall cupboard… but not much of a problem. We read about the “storing of clothing” issue so we bought and took a collapsible clothes rail stand that cost £25. This solved the issue which could be provided by owner as lots of people mentioned the problem. The cabin is on a hill climb and steps down to it to get to so can be exhausting if you’re not very mobile. Happy and delighted with everything except two points. 1. The bed is the worst we have slept on. Mattress needs upgrading to a memory foam as it’s lumpy and saggy and we didn’t sleep much due to this. 2. The cabin patio should be screened from the owners garden side to make it private when sitting outside as the owners could see us when watering greenhouse plants etc which made us feel “on view” and like we were in the owners garden. ( which I know we are but would prefer more privacy ) This is our personal preference though. Nice touches like the welcome goody pack and cleaning pack and binoculars ( although we couldn’t get a clear view from them ) The owners were lovely though and informative about local places to visit. Would I go back?…yes, but only if the mattress was upgraded as it was so uncomfortable.

This is really such an important weeks holiday for us , and it’s so good at The Cabin We will keep coming back.

Great holiday totally relaxing experience

The Cabin is the most idyllic place to stay.

The view is stunning and it has everything you could need to make a perfect holiday. We will certainly be booking again.

Very lucky with the weather .. Beautiful decking that is a sun trap Everything you need in provided. A lovely walk down to the beach ( steep but only a few minutes) Overall very clean and well equipped and will definitely book again

Wonderful bolt hole for 2 persons.

We had a wonderful week . The property was as listed, although hadn't noticed there was no oven. The microwave saved the day. Kitchen area is compact, a larger fridge with a proper freezer area would definitely be advantageous. Very little space for clothes,. Two thirds of one the cupboards stored the bedding and laundry for the next guests. The other cupboard just had 2 hooks with a couple of hangers on the hooks. We didn't unpack our clothes. Owners who live in the house on the property were friendly and helpful and not intrusive. Bathroom was a good size. The views and privacy from the Cabin are amazing and sitting on the decking is very peaceful. The proximity to the town and The Cobb was great. Overall it's a really great place to stay and you are in the heart of Lyme Regis with a parking space!

This unique cabin has a birds eye view over the cob in the heart of Lyme Regis.

We were so lucky with the weather, clear blue skies for the entire stay; however, I doubt bad weather would have made it any less idyllic. With a beautiful small (and quiet) restaurant perched on the hill behind us with fresh seafood, we couldn't have wished for a better place. Walking distance to everywhere, fabulous trails, such views!

Lovely friendly owners who really care about your comfort .

Warm and bright clean cabin with excellent views of the Cobb . Great to park in the centre of Lyme . We also managed to enjoy sitting on the terrace on our one sunny day ! We also enjoyed the welcome hamper . Beautiful walks from here including the river path to Uplyme and plenty of suggestions in the cabin as to what to do .

There is no storage space for food and limited space for clothes storage no hanging rail in the corner cupboard just a few coat hooks.

The other cupboard has the owners clean bedding. The fridge is miniscule as is the TV with limited channels. The lounge area chairs are 10 minute chairs. The layout is not as described re the view. Parking is interesting currently with building works in the restaurant next door, the road to the parking is tight and steep.

A lovely Place to stay if you love Lyme and the view was the best I've seen.

A very comfy and cosy stay,with lots of great places to eat.Easy access to the seafront area through the park ,and a massive bonus having your own parking space as the carparks are so expensive now.

The best location in Lyme Regis!

Lovely hosts, great food just minutes away and access to wonderful walks. The cabin has everything needed for a break and revitalise. The terrace views are unforgettable. Three visits this year says it all.

Wow it was lovely.

...Merry & Carl were two very lovely people and very helpful...the only critcism we had was that the TV was a bit too small and the programmes available were limited. Other than that we could not have wished for a more lovely cabin. The views were great and on the whole it was a super place to be. Our only regret is that we had to leave 3 days early due to medical emergency. If you are able to get in touch with Merry & Carl please explain the reason for our sudden departure.

We have just completed our weeks stay in the cabin at Lyme Regis I can honestly say that despite using Sykes for dozens of holiday breaks this facility and location has to be up there with the best.

The location was exceptional the facility was exactly as described, superb! A first class holiday with no issues whatsoever.

We had a lovely time, and the cabin owners provided everything we needed for a late summer holiday.

On arrival, Carl (the owner) greeted us and made us feel welcome. Whilst the cabin is within the town It has an isolated feel with a good amount of privacy and provides a quiet, peaceful location. Access to the cabin is via steps and the walks are generally hilly but nothing too strenuous. There are outstanding views across the bay with pleasant short walks through gardens to the town, seafront and harbour amenities.

We didn't want for anything and the cabin was cleverly compact.

Beautiful property great location will definitely be returning.

A comfortable cabin with superb position and views

Lovely location and ideal for exploring the area.

Maybe more emphasis on limited kitchen facilities and especially on very limited fridge / freezer space. Also limited clothes storage space - guests should be prepared to live out of their suitcases. Nonetheless we had a great experience and would recommend.

A wonderful location with fantastic views.

Very comfortable chalet with many lovely features, particularly liked the soft towels, welcome pack and very powerful binoculars to watch all the activity around the Cobb. Agreeing with previous guests that the fridge is rather small and a cupboard for food stuffs would be handy. Steep access would make it a difficult location for anyone with mobility issues. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts helped to make our stay very enjoyable.

A very well earned break and couldn’t have picked a more peaceful place within walking distance of amenities and views to die for!

Carefully chosen by us for our second visit to Lyme Regis.

Expectations met. The Cabin is a lovely property with an amazing view and had all the facilities we needed for a short visit. Nicely maintained and perfectly situated. Friendly host.

Pity that the large window facing south over the harbour did not go down to nearer floor level !

"The Cabin" is our favourite place to relax and unwind: that's why we visit twice each year.

Compact and secluded accommodation, with fantastic views over the harbour and the Cobb, and with all the best bits of Lyme Regis within fairly easy reach - even for an old bloke with mobility issues like me. The Owners live nearby, and are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Simply we loved it, very comfortable everything we needed.

If there was anything we would change it would be perfect if the window was a patio door and we could see the sea whilst sitting (greedy) plus a larger fridge, easier for wine and beer!! The owner were brilliant

Perfectly situated for lovely views across the Cobb and parks adjacent to the property.

The owners couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable so we thank them both for that...and there is a wonderful seafood and fish restaurant right next door. We would recommend this property without hesitation.

Some of the crockery and cutlery was dirty…no problem for us to clean.

Also the fridge door and bathroom door was dirty/grubby and I had wipes so I cleaned it. We loved the cabin! Fabulous place and location and the owners were friendly and helpful. We have rebooked.

The cabin was utterly delightful.

The views were so beautiful and we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The town and seafront are just a short walk away with plenty of shops and restaurants. The weather was fabulous during our stay which added to our enchantment with the beauty of Dorset.

Perfect short break ‘to breathe in the sea’ as window and decking views are exceptional.

Compact space with all the essentials and very quiet location. Soft but comfy mattress: no blackout curtains so take eye masks for bright mornings. Parking is tight but once there, you won’t need to move. We liked the seafront breakfasts at Swim or Kiosk after an early morning dip. Friendly owners nearby and very close to the Oyster & Fish House… we will return.

We were so surprised and delighted by the welcome pack. You had thought of everything and the cabin was so comfortable. The mattress was extremely comfortable to sleep on, we slept well from the very first night. We were so grateful to you for your hospitality and friendliness. The cabin provided us with just the relaxation we were seeking. The view is to die for and the sun even put in a few appearances. If you could organise the weather to be a little warmer next time that is the only improvement we could ask for!

An ideal setting, lovely harbour views yet away from the crowds.

The Cabin was exactly as depicted on the web site. Driveway quite steep and parking can become a little crowded but this is readily balanced by the setting. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. I knocked comfort back one point as the bed mattress was rather too soft for my back problem, but I will be very happy to stay there again.

The Cabin was everything we hade been led to believe it would be.

Well, maintained and stylishly decorated. We had the most wonderful weather and we were able to make full use of the decking and seating overlooking probably one of the most iconic and beautiful views on the South of England coast. For us, the Restaurant at the top of the steps to the Cabin was a God send. The menu was varied and delicious. Our hosts were welcoming and kind and dealt efficiently and promptly with a small problem we had on the first morning. We cannot thank them enough.

The view was fabulous, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine - all good points.

The restaurant is noisy at times especially late at night, the decking needs replacing, the cooking facilities are a bit small and not practical, the fridge is too small for even basic things.

Will certainly return when we return to the area, thank you :)

The Cabin was perfect for us with a great view and comfortable and private decked patio with comfortable chairs and table.

Bed was comfortable and shower hot. Our hosts were lovely. Very approachable and helpful. The welcome pack was unexpected but most appreciated, thank you. Would have been nice to have had a slightly larger fridge which left us slightly restricted, but this didn’t impact on our holiday. Would happily return!!

The property would benefit from a food cabinet and a fridge that had an icebox

The Cabin is our “go-to” retreat, which we book for several weeks spread throughout each year.

It ticks all the boxes for us (a retired couple), including dedicated parking, phenomenal views, seclusion, walkable access to the sea-front and town, and very friendly owners.

We had a great stay with the views as advertised, amazing to sit and look of the sea.

The nearby restaurant was excellent both staff and food. The cabin is compact and perfect for our short getaway. Our only comment and this is a personal thing, is the mattress was a bit soft for us. Thank you!
