We had a fantastic stay at High Bullen Lodge.

The hosts were lovely and on hand if we needed anything for our stay. We were greeted with prosecco and homemade apple cake which was great! The lodge is very private and very well situated for all the best beaches and walks. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing week away!

The lodge is amazing, the views are awesome, Hilary was so welcoming, the homemade muffins and Prosecco she left was a lovely welcome touch, thank you.

We would definitely recommend to anyone who would like a nice relaxing peaceful place to stay, The garden is beautiful our pooch Archie loved the space. Kim, Pete and Archie

Fabulous!

This was a last-minute booking for us as we really needed a break and the Lodge delivered on all levels as did Sykes with the booking procedure. The views were fabulous, the sunrise astounding! For walkers, you can go to Golden Cap from the Lodge, there is a route that can be found by going through the car park of Felicity's Farm Shop, veering to the left where you will see a signpost, and then crossing a field, which will take you to Langdon Hill carpark which is the beginning of a route to Golden Cap. We had the most wonderful weather whilst we were there, and enjoyed time on the deck just taking in the views. Overall a great stay, thank you!

Lovely lodge all mod cons.

The raised position gives you a fantastic view and sunrises and sunsets to die for. Very pleased all round.

Very clean and comfortable.

We had a warm welcome from Nick and Hilary when we arrived.

We had some goodies left which was a first for us . Weather not so good but we had a fun time. We had a nice sofa which was good. Another would be even better The area is outstanding for beauty. I’ve never been to Beer, even though we live in Somerset. But what a lovely village. So all in all a lovely stay at High Bullen.

We absolutely loved it here, fantastic modern lodge with very comfy beds and everything you need to have a brilliant holiday.

The views alone are spectacular, you can see for miles, its like being on top of the world. A great location, lots of different beaches and towns close by with walks to Golden Cap from the lodge. The dogs loved the enclosed secure garden area and we enjoyed drinks and meals on the decking. Thankyou for a wonderful week, we didn’t want to leave.

Owners on hand if you need any advice but otherwise you wouldn’t know they were there. Perfect spot, will be back.

We had a lovely stay and the view from the lodge is lovely.

Beds were nice and comfy and it was great to be able to walk the dog straight from the door, however we found the lounge a little cluttered with the chairs and footstools and not so comfortable to relax in, maybe a sofa would be more appropriate but overall we had a really nice stay,

Beautiful lodge,view from decking ,hills and sea between,great to sit in sun and admire the surrounding countryside .

Pheasant landed on the railings,before taking off again.Very comfortable,and cosy.Went to several interesting places along the single track lanes accompanied by a flock?of pheasants that insisted on running along in front of us.Would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a combination of views,along with every comfort.Thank you for a lovely time..

Lovely lodge in wonderful setting

What a fantastic lodge for our holiday.

The lodge was immaculate with everything you might need for a holiday stay - excellent bedding, towels all included. The addition of a surprise homemade cream tea and prosecco added to the perfection. Plenty of outdoor space to relax and soak up the glorious views across to Golden Cap. We very much hope to return to High Bullen Lodge in the near future and recommend it to anyone needing to totally relax.

This is a beautiful holiday let, we stayed 2 weeks and would have liked longer.

Could have been a bit cleaner, there were a few dirty corners.

A coffee machine would have been nice to. Fantastic view though, much appreciated stay.

This is a lovely comfortable chalet in the most amazing position with a view over Golden Cap and a brilliant walk straight out of the door up Hardown Hill, with fantastic views and safe for dogs.

The little enclosed shingle garden is great for the dog too. Lots of really lovely walks in the area, a great farm shop at the end of the lane, and a Waitrose in nearby Bridport. Take care on the A35 leaving Bridport - I got a ticket for doing 36 in a 30mph zone I wasn't aware of! Still a fabulous holiday though!

Wonderful welcome from our hosts.

Who can resist homemade scones and jam with clotted cream?! We quite like Prosecco too!! Such a lovely welcome set us up for our week’s stay. We weathered Storm Kathleen snug in our holiday home and when she had passed we enjoyed some wild beach visits with fishy lunches. We ventured further afield as there are so many beautiful spots around High Bullen and were always happy to return ‘home’ at the end of each day. Thank you

A really warm and welcoming accommodation with spectacular views.

A great position for access to both coast and inland with walks from the front door, added to this a secure environment that ensures privacy for the adults and free rambling for dogs!!

We were there in March 2024 and can only recommend it.

Just loved this place.

Just perfect as a getaway with a lovely view, and close to beaches and walks. Our dogs loved it here, and loved the little garden. Owners so nice and helpful. Would definitely love to come here again

The Lodge feels modern and light, with a wonderful view to the sea.

It's very quiet and peaceful: perfect if you are hoping to 'get away from it all'. It is easy to cook meals in the kitchen as it is so well equipped. The outdoor terrace is a generous size though sadly we didn't have the weather to make the most of it! The location is convenient for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Thoroughly recommend.

This little treasure of a lodge is perfect, kept to such a high standard by the very accommodating owners who live a stone throw away.

The setting is just amazing and no expense has been spared to make High Bullen Lodge the special place that it is. The Cornish tea & Rose wine on arrival was a lovely greeting..We will definitely be back! :)

We wondered what it would be like holidaying next to the owners.

It was absolutely fine. We had a thorough introduction at arrival which was very helpful. The bonus was the cream tea and wine left for us. We didn’t need the owners during our stay but knew it would be fine had we needed this. I very relaxing break.

Fantastic little holiday property, very clean, very comfortable, very cosy, very peaceful, well equipped and with seriously good views from the decked area.

Fantastic view from the decking area! A lovely lodge clean & tidy and is fully equipped. To us was a home to home experience. The welcome gift (home made scone and a bottle of wine was a big surprise) Overall we have a wonderful sunny week!

High Bullen Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, it’s in a great location we hardly used the car all week there are lots of walks directly from the lodge.

The lodge itself has exceptional views, extremely comfortable and well equipped - and the owners are really lovely & helpful hosts. Would not hesitate to stay again

This is a fabulous place to stay with a great coastal view towards Golden Cap from the sunny terrace (or through the patio doors it's raining) and a fantastic walk from the door up Hardown Hill (5mins to the top, quite steep but worth it) where there are amazing views.

And the whole area has great places to walk either within walking distance or a short drive away through pretty Marshwood Vale lanes - Pilsdon Pen, Coney's Castle, Lewesdon Hill etc etc all great viewpoints. Even with my old dog who can't do big hikes any more we had a wonderful week. Fab bluebells everywhere too. Only 4 stars for comfort because I found the seating slippery, but I got used to it and suppose that does make it easy to keep clean! The bed was really comfortable, which is much more important. Also a brilliant farm shop nearby on the main road. This was my second time here, and I would definitely come again.

The owners are so kind and caring, the effort they put in to make you feel welcome is above and beyond. The lodge is warm and cosy with lots of lovely walks straight from the door.

High Bullen Lodge is just the perfect place to spend a quiet break.

Although it is up a short track there is very easy access onto the A35. The chalet itself is just lovely, being decorated in a seaside theme with bunting strung across the walls and an enclosed garden (down 4 steps) which is pebbly like being on the beach (no grass). Our elderly dog struggled with the steps up to the chalet and down into the garden but we manged. The only downside for us personally was that our old dog who suffers badly with arthritis kept slipping and falling on the laminated flooring. We were also kept awake by the click clack of his nails as he wandered around so a carpet or large rug would have helped.

Was greeted with apple cake and bottle of wine! Garden is dog proof and lovely walks behind the lodge on the hill for them and owners. Owners were helpful recommending which lane to use depending on which way we were travelling( the lodge is up a single track lane)

High Bullen Lodge is everything that is advertised.

The garden is completely dog safe, and the views are amazing. The owners are so helpful and lovely people. All in all, a very nice place for a holiday. Highly recommended
