It is not fit for purpose, particularly for winter lets. Main issues: no proper kitchen - no worktops or cupboards, only place to boil kettle is on narrow shelf (dangerous), microwave dangerously installed under sink etc. Nowhere to put plates to serve up, china, glass etc on high shelves, hard to reach and dangerous. Heating inadequate - tiny log burner takes only one small log, otherwise just loads of fan heaters. Concerned about electrics - overloading circuit, when last tested etc. One socket pulling away from wall. Very shabby furnishings. Very old 10 tog duvet, pillows so old they are nearly flat! Very uncomfortable 2 seater sofa bed, two dining chairs (so no space to seat third person, although advertised for 3). Very surprised as to date have been delighted with your properties and have widely recommended you; wonder if you are aware of condition of this one.
I'm sorry to hear that Endymion has not lived up to your expectations on your recent stay. I assure you the property is safe and there are no concerns relating to the electrics, nor have any problems been reported by people staying.
I appreciate that the property is quirky and cosy as opposed to spacious, however this is accurately represented online to customers ahead of them choosing to stay with us. I personally feel the lack of perfectly matched decor adds to the property charm.
You can see from the images on the website that the kitchen does not have an abundance of surface space and the location of the kettle,toaster, glasses and microwave and it is also listed that the heating is portable heaters and the woodburner (pictured on the website) so I'm very disappointed to see this raised in feedback. I try to be as honest as possible in that the property may not be suitable for all guests due to the access road and location.
I would like to extend my apologies for the wrong duvet having been in the property. I thought this had already been swapped for the winter duvet which is 13.5 tog. However, there is a spare duvet left in the property too should it be required. Had this been raised during your stay, I'd have been happy to rectify this for you.
