We have spent a lovely peaceful week at The Hideaway.

The accommodation is exactly as described, the kitchen is particularly well equipped and the bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the decking enjoying views of the countryside - we were also very lucky with the weather. We had a slight problem with the lock on the front door and despite the owners being away whilst we were there the problem was rectified within a couple of hours of us reporting it - great service!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in this lovely little hideaway cabin.

The place was well hidden in the countryside, close to a secluded shingle beach. We were a party of three and so, the two bedrooms AND bathrooms were perfect for our needs. The combined living room, dining area and well equipped kitchen with little kitchen island were all we needed to feel cozy and content. Given the changeable weather in late October we didn't really make use of the wooden terrace. The warning signs about how slippery that was when wet were accurate. Phew! Be prepared to bring everything with you for a trouble free stay. After arrival, we had to do a big supermarket shop in nearby Bridport to ensure that we had enough essentials such as toilet & kitchen rolls, as well as everything consumable, even kitchen basics such as enough salt, pepper etc. The lane down to this place is very narrow and a challenge to navigate. We must have been unlucky to almost always find a car/van coming in the other direction. Not for the faint hearted. But, all said and done, we were happy to have spent a quiet, relaxing week here.

Good sized bedrooms. Great for access to beach and coast path. lots of birds and other wildlife to watch from the deck/garden.

The Hideaway is a great base to explore this part of Dorset.

It's comfortable and clean and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. It's also wonderfully quiet apart from the lapping of the sea. Granddaughter loved the nearby beach, although it's stony it had endless play value and was great for paddling. Altogether we had a delightful, relaxing holiday.

What a lovely holiday home.

Very special place. Nice and peaceful with lovely views too. We had a great time. The shed also has lots of extra furniture with faux rattan chairs and aluminium high back chairs. Even a couple of deckchairs for the grass. Can't recommend it highly enough. The New Inn sandwiches were special as was Martins Bar and Restaurant for the best ham, egg and chips ever (local fresh eggs and home cured ham from a butcher in Bridport).

A lovely property in a peaceful setting and 5 minutes from the beach.

The property is very well equipped and spacious and the owners are so helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

It is a lovely peaceful setting and we loved looking at all the wildlife.It was also an added bonus having the beach so close .Would definitely return

The accommodation is really home from home.

The utensils crockery and pans are the best we have ever had. The dog could be secure as the property has a slide across gate on the decking area. With an area for doggy morning and evening toilet trips. We had access to Netflix terrestrial and our amazon prime etc. Radio too. DVD and some games were available. I have reduced and limited mobility and this property was so easy for me to move around and function as easily as normal. The outside table on the decking means that you get a sea view whilst having your cuppa which we love. You are literally 10 minute walk from the beach at Eype and up the road is a wonderful pub. Loved it. So comfortable. Owners are incredibly friendly too. Best holiday for me by far.

Lyn and I really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect for us and the location quiet and only minutes from the beach and the costal path.

I would also recommend a visit to Hell Lane one of the ancient Hollow Ways and only a ten minute drive away.

My family and I just enjoyed a week at The Hideaway.

It is a perfect holiday home. Fully equipped with everything you need. The Hideaway is set in a tranquil and picturesque area by Eype beach. Keith and Jill are on hand if you have any questions. I will be returning for future holidays.

The property was adequate for what we paid but the outside area was poor needing maintenance and importantly one bathroom was without bath mat and both needed anti slip shower mats.

Beach within easy walking distance. The Hideaway had everything you needed, very clean and tidy. Great location if you want a quiet break. Very good location for coastal walks. Highly recommended.

If you want secluded, quiet, peaceful, this is it.

The property was very clean and well equipped. Beds comfortable as was the lounge furniture. Jill and Keith were available should there have been anything amiss, fortunately this was not an issue for us.

Very nice warm cozy accommodation, would have liked a gate on decking & garden better fenced in for our dog so we could relax more.

Also suggest there should be more information for anyone with mobility issues as right outside & all around the property is very steep. So had to use our car more. And please note that the old steps down to the only beach there & very old & dangerous. That was a shame & disappointing.

The hideaway is the perfect ideallic place to stay.

It is a modern property and the decor is lovely. A very spacious property in a perfect setting. The owners are lovely and friendly, we have been coming to eype for 35 years and Keith who owns it I've known since I was a child as he used to own the caravan park. How delighted I was to see him.

It was a brilliant location, very near the coast and coastal paths.

Really warm on arrival. Owners close by but leave you to enjoy your holiday. Fab location for exploring the coast. Equipped with everything you need to have a home from home break.

Great property, spacious, clean and warm.

Be prepared for a very narrow single track road to access property. Great walking access to beach. Not a big issue for us but tv not easy to navigate and set up. WiFi is pretty non existent too if u are driven by this. That's the only negatives.

We absolutely loved it here.

Only drawback with the area (not the accomodation at all), are the extremely narrow lanes into the village, that is obviously nothing to with the owners of the property of the lodge. It must be a nightmare peak season for locals and visitors alike, trying to negotiate the narrow lanes when meeting other traffic! Also, we should have mentioned, but figured we could do without the tv for the weekend, we could not get a signal on the tv at all, but we were better off without so we didn't raise the issue! We are planning to come again off-peak for another short break in the near future.

Great place for our short break to visit the Dorset coast and towns.

The lodge is so comfortable and the location was perfect for a quiet break near the sea. The owners very friendly. We are looking to visit again soon.
