A little tired in decor but generally functional.

There were only 2 mugs in the property (for 4 people). The dishwasher door was unstable and fell open on a number of occasions. Intermittent fault on toilet cistern(repeorted). It could have been cleaner (many of the dishes/pans were dirty), and there were splashes on the paintwork in kitchen and bathroom. Very helpful and fast response when the wifi dropped(thank you ). Overall, a peaceful stay in an accessible location value of money

We have staff on site each day from 8–5, and we would happily have rectified any issues during your stay had we known. The mugs were removed as they were stained and should have been replaced immediately — my team apologised profusely for the oversight. I’ve also booked the dishwasher and WC in for attention, and I appreciate you bringing these to our attention. We’re reviewing our housekeeping checks to ensure standards remain consistently high, and your comments will help us improve. The cottage was in a nice setting, it was well equipped and it had everything we needed.

However the cottage is in need of a refurbishment. The walls and woodwork had a lot of chips and dents and the furniture was very tired and worn. Sadley still no bathroom sink plug, as reported by previous guests. To end on a positive, the enclosed garden was really useful for the dogs, the heating was set and kept the cottage cosy and it was lovely watching the daily activities at the stables from our garden.

Emminster was perfect for our stay.

The description of the property and location is very accurate. It’s beautiful peaceful but note the cautions about there being no shops or pub in Nottington.
