The hygiene and cleaning was poor, the metal cup holder in the bathroom was rusty.

The decor and furniture was tied. On a positive note the amenities were good with good walks, and the people were very nice.

The location of the cottage is beautiful and central.

The bed linen and fridge were clean. However, the property overall feels past its sell-by date and in need of attention. • The toilet was not clean on arrival, and the toilet seat was stained. • The bathroom and kitchen needed more thorough cleaning. • Several metal fittings are rusting including the lamp in the lounge and the bathroom fitting are corroded. Even the toothbrush cup were grimy. • The kitchen cupboards are very tired, with coverings peeling off and holes in the wrap on some of the doors. • The kitchen sink and draining board had rust stains. We managed to clean them off with Fairy liquid, but this should have been done before our stay. • The oven was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned, although the BBQ outside was spotless. • The carpet is badly worn, with stains and mismatched patches. Overall the floor from kitchen through to bedrooms didn’t feel clean enough so walking without shoes was not an option. • Behind the furniture, particularly under the sofa, was dusty and hadn’t been swept or cleaned in some time. • The outside light isn’t working. • The kitchen equipment feels very basic, with little beyond the essentials. Not even a pair of scissors. • No cleaning products were provided, so we weren’t able to freshen things up ourselves. • The front porch was dirty and clearly not cleaned; the doormat was grey rather than its original blue. On a positive note, the dog bowls and biscuits were a nice gesture and much appreciated. Overall, though, it was a very disappointing stay. For the price, the property did not feel homely or well maintained. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that steps are taken to ensure future guests don’t have the same experience. At this stage, we would not recommend Sykes or this property based on our stay.

Cosy cottage with everything provided, we really enjoyed staying here.

The location is perfect, it’s quiet but not too far from Weymouth, and we had no real issues at all during our stay. I forgot to pack the bag containing tea towels and washing up stuff so was relieved to find these were already in the accommodation, thank you. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the grill to work possibly due to needing a new element but we managed. Many thanks for the stay once again.

Had a great 4night stay at Garland, on arrival everything was waiting for us ready to enjoy our stay.

The accommodation was very clean and the facilities were spot on. I plan to return in the near future. Thank You to the properties owners and Thank You Skyes

The place was lovely, what beautiful location , and very clean.

The only thing I would say , it would be even better to have a parasol, as it luckily turned out very sunny day and we would have loved to have breakfast in the shade. Thanks for the beautiful, calm place, surrounded by lovely nature.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Garland cottage, the on-site manager was very helpful and friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a selection of dog treats left for our Reggie along with food and water bowls, and many other items that we usually have to take with us such as tea towels and washing up liquid. The accommodation was very clean upon arrival and well presented. The only minor negative was that the sofa in the living room is getting a bit tired and uncomfortable to sit on for any length but this could be said of a lot of people's homes. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call the day after arrival checking that everything was ok, unfortunately I missed the call but got the message later and was unable to return the call due to reception issues. I can definitely recommend Garland, and would be happy to stay in the other accommodation available at Wey Stables, and am likely to return in the near future! Thank you.

The cottage was perfect and apart from a bit of wear and tear to the kitchen units, clean but tired looking towels and a well-used sofa (a bit saggy) it met our expectations.

It would have been helpful to know the owners provided 2 x toilet rolls Hand soap in the bathroon a cotton bathmat Bin liners washing up liquid dishwasher tablets dish cloth and scourer tea towels. It was a nice touch to have a welcome basket of tea coffee milk sugar hot chocolate and biscuits. The directions were very good, but as we arrived in the evening - pitch black the - we missed the turning as the signage at the entrance was not visible and not lit. It would have been helpful to know it was immediately before the clearway road signs. thank you - we would return.

Ref Garland lodge Felt really comfortable here, the beds are comfortable the shower terrific, internet connect really good, location to visiting spots ideal.

Some things would be handy to have but not worth mentioning as it might be seen as negative, when I am really pleased with the place. Well laid out, easy to find place with plenty of room to move about. Internally and externally. Really glad I found this place last minute but surprised it wasn’t lapped up by someone else sooner. Reasonable priced. Thank you.

Enjoyed our stay in the garland lovely beds and shower the only one thing was we thought the sofa was a bit low other than that it is a lovely place to stay would definitely recommend and hope to return

We had a lovely break in quiet and peaceful surroundings with easy access to a wide range of places to visit.

The property was well equipped, comfortable and clean with secure garden for the dog.

We had a really lovely stay at Garland we loved the garden.

We had the Sun on it all day. We love the powerful shower although be aware it’s a little bit difficult for all the people to get into. Some initial problems were quickly sorted out by the owners as soon as we pointed them out. And we want to say thank you for this.

Clean and comfy if a little tired.

Great holiday and enjoyed Garland, Some of the facilities could be upgraded but it was the end of the season.

Overall a really enjoyable stay.
