Beltie Lodge is situated in a peaceful corner of the south-west of Scotland and close to the Solway Firth.
Formerly the gardener's cottage for Knockbrex House it has, in 2019, been totally renovated and refurbished to provide a superb and flexible holiday venue.
The lodge is an amalgamation of the gardener's cottage and the old laundry for Knockbrex and so, whilst all connected on the ground floor, the first floor is accessed by 2 separate staircases.
Not only does this give some privacy to 2 families sharing but also allows those with 6 or fewer guests who only require 3 bedrooms, to reserve the Cottage only at a reduced rental.
The remainder of the house is then closed off.

The renovation has been tastefully executed with a choice of luxury linens, fabric and furnishings throughout.
The dining conservatory is a particularly special area with sliding doors opening to the patio and outside dining area with a view of the sea in the distance.
The kitchen is well equipped for catering for 11 people and is an incredibly sociable space open plan into the dining area.
The wet rooms are a luxury and one has been specially appointed to accommodate a wheelchair user.
The gardens have also been restored with lawns and paths and so make for relaxing outdoor socialising.
For the musician there is a tuned Bechstein piano in the hallway!
This area of Scotland is noted for art galleries, bookshops, craft shops and NTS gardens open to the public.
In addition, the Solway Firth is one of Scotland's most important sites for wildlife and birds and there are several wetland visitor centres and reserves to see a wealth of shore and marsh birds.
Cyclists will know of the abundance of opportunities for downhill biking including one of the Seven Stanes courses at Dalbeattie (being the closest) and Mabie Forest a short drive away too.
The Galloway Forest Park is vast and great fun for walkers, cyclists and anyone keen on birds and wildlife.
Here also, is the Dark Skies park where it is possible to see the night sky at it best display due to the total lack of light pollution.
Children are well catered for with visits to Cream of Galloway ice cream centre and adventure playpark.
Laggan outdoor centre has the longest Zip-Line in Scotland and is just 15 minute drive.
Brighouse Bay trekking centre is 4 miles away where a pony trek can be arranged.
Golfers can pick up a round of golf in Gatehouse of Fleet, at a very modest rate and fly fishing can be arranged by permit.
The landscape is comprised of lush green fields and forests, bays and beaches all along the coast and hills rising to the north.
The villages all have their own character and well reward exploration for unique shops and visitor attractions.
