Little Lodge

Little Lodge was an amazing stay start to finish.

This place was so clean and had everything you needed from a washing machine to a heated air drier. My mum was disabled and this was perfect our host Nadia offered her a shower seat and handle which did help her loads. I would recommend this place 100%. I will definitely be looking to go back. Lovely hosts, amazing lodge, lovely views for a relaxing time away. Thanks again for the best get away

We had a very relaxing stay at Little Lodge.

The accomodation was excellent and our host, Nadine was very friendly and welcoming. The lodge itself was well furnished and extremley clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also made good use of the hot tub which is under cover and protected from the weather. Seamus our pet dog was also made welcome and had a towel, bowls and some treats all provided for his stay.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the little lodge it was so peaceful and quiet you could just switch off, the place was immaculate and exactly as described they even had treats for the dog available to us will definitely be back in the future and can’t recommend enough

Very welcoming host and lodge was a lovely setting for our break.

All we needed including the hot tub. Beds were comfy. There was plenty room for us and the dog. Would have been 5star but unfortunately the driveway was full of potholes, I know they are trying to make it better but unfortunately during our visit it was quite bad.

Really lovely rural spot to relax.

The cabin was very clean and very comfortable. The only downside for our stay was navigating the poorly kept driveway up to the property.

Everything we needed for the week and more.well placed for touring the area. It was very quite and peaceful .The track down to the lodge is not a problem if you drive carefully. I would recommend staying here .

We had a wonderful time at Little Lodge and the owners were great.

All the little touches were fantastic. The area is quite remote so if looking for somewhere to relax and have peace and quiet this is the place. Highly recommend.

When we arrived we were met at the lodge by Kirsty the housekeeper who gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean, clearly well looked after and it was the perfect relaxing getaway. Compared to other places we have stayed, Little Lodge goes the extra mile. We will be back.

A warm welcome and lots of thoughtful touches such as robes provided for walking out to the hot tub. Quiet and peaceful location about 30 mins drive from the coast and from Galloway Forest Park. Exceeded our expectations

Little Lodge is fantastic.

So cosy and welcoming and exceptionally well kept. A lovely view and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely on my list of places I'd be happy to stay again.

The whole experience of the log cabin itself was great fully enjoyed my time there the hosts where warm and friendly and every welcoming the only thing I would have to say is there needs to be clear instructions on what areas are available for the guests staying within the cabins on where they can and cannot walk around as the neighbour to to the site is quite abrupt and rude and this may have issues with some people thinking about returning stays at the site itself

Little lodge was very quite comfortable and spacious, the hot tub was what we wanted out of our stay and it delivered very clean and the neighbours didn't bother you.

There wasn't really anywhere close to go walking, we had to travel 10 miles to get to a woodland walks

Very luxurious and well equipped lodge, very clean and spotless The owner and the staff was wonderful and lovely people and very friendly Hot tube vas perfect and the BBQ an extra bonus We had a great and relaxing time, whit no worries And the most important thing we had the pet whit us Keep up the good work and the extraordinary services.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Little Lodge, our first time in a solid timber lodge.

The lodge was spotless on arrival and offered a high degree of comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to future guests.

It was one of the cleanest lodges we had been in we were well looked after by Mel and Nadia and Kirsty who made us very welcome when we arrived so much so that we have already booked to go back in march

Little Lodge is just perfect in every aspect.

Beautifully decorated, with magnificent facilities ( including a super king size bed). We were met by the owner and housekeeper, who proudly showed us the Lodge. There were many extras including a hot- tub, towelling robes and plastic glasses for use in the tub. Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and definitely recommend.

Beautiful place, great house, we will definitely come back.

Booked the lodge for a mini break with 2 friends and it was ideal.

The lodge was clearly well maintained and the owners (and Ruby the dog) were incredibly friendly. Would definitely book this lodge again

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Lodge very much, and would stay again.

The lodge was in a useful location for seeing he southwest of Scotland, while also being in a nice quiet location itself. The lodge was well furnished and clean, and we felt very welcomed by the hosts. The fridge was stocked with fresh water and milk when we arrived, and there were tea bags and coffee available for us to use, which was nice after a long drive. We also enjoyed use of the barbecue and hot tub while we were there. One potential issue could be a lack of privacy if the surrounding lodges had peope staying in them at the same time, especially when using the hot tub, though this was not an issue while we were there. We also found the approach road quite bumpy, though this is obviously out of the hosts' control.

We enjoyed our stay here.

It's super clean and well appointed for the stay there. Bed comfort was great , the shower is lovely and powerful, have Internet TV is good and Wi-Fi is great However there is no garden for this lodge. Eateries are very few and a long distance away.

The host had thought of everything, and it really was the best equipped holiday lodge we have ever visited. Beautiful place, although it’s very isolated. Perfect for a break and time to recharge batteries. Highly recommend this accommodation .

What a wee hidden gem, the lodge was very clean and comfortable.

The owner went above and beyond for our stay. I had the best few days here making memories with my loved ones. Cant wait to come back again.

Superb holiday lodge, absolutely faultless

We have stayed twice at little lodge and both times have been perfect.

The lodge has everything you could possibly need, the owners and Kirsty are so helpful and on hand if you need anything. I highly recommend this accommodation, whether you are a couple or a family, it is perfect. We can’t wait to return and have already been looking at dates. Little lodge is stunning.

Absolute top quality and nothing has been overlooked. It is very well equipped and the fixtures and fittings are excellent. Everything was spotless and everything had been thought of. It is beautiful. Ideal location for exploring the area. The owners made us feel very welcome and even treated the kids to a selection box. Even in the bitterly cold weather we were very comfortable. Hot tub is great and well looked after. Completely remote and great for star gazing and wildlife spotting. Oh and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Thanks for a great stay and your hospitality.

We had an amazing 5 days, The lodge was beautiful,attention to detail was amazing, it had everything we needed, beds were brilliant, hosts were fab, nothing was a bother, hot tub was ready for us when we arrived, peace and tranquil , lots of wildlife, couldnt fault the Lodge, we would love to return in the summer months.

Great cottage but power cut on the Sunday and no backup power at all after we left they made things up to get extra money out of us do not use at all will never go back with them or with sykes holidays

Hosts were amazing especially when we had to change our date at short notice due to hospital admission. Would highly recommend this property if you want peace, relaxation and to charge your batteries. Hot tub was a bonus.

We loved our stay at Little Lodge - everything was absolutely perfect and couldn’t fault a thing.

The lodge itself is stunning. Inside was immaculate with all facilities and furnishings looking brand new. The beds and sofas were incredibly comfortable and provided us with a brilliants night sleep each night. Outside, the surrounding are so peaceful and quiet which made for relaxing in the hot tub an amazing experience. Finally, the hosts. Mel, Nadia and Kirsty made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Treated us like friends the duration of our stay and nothing was a bother with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend Little Lodge to anyone! It was one of the best lodges we have ever stayed in. Thanks again! Ps, little Ruby visiting when we were outside just topped off our visit.

Gorgeous comfortable lodge in a beautiful peaceful location, ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area.

Hot tub was amazing at the end of the day, wonderful friendly owners and staff, definitely recommend

This is a lovely modern, clean, well equipped property.

The host were very helpful and friendly. We are definitely looking to return. Would have been great to have been able to slow charge the car over night but alas this wasn’t available we found best options for fast charging to be Stranraer about 10miles away. The property is only accessible is via about 6 miles of single track roads but these were fairly quiet during our stay in August. The coastline around here is very picturesque with some lovely spots to visit and have walk or a bite to eat.

Little Lodge itself is immaculate and the host Mel is very welcoming.

The main issues I have with the holiday experience has more to do with the access to the lodge as the road from Glenluce to the entrance is bad enough. Still, the track from the entrance to the lodge, in my opinion, is unacceptable, luckily I drive a car that sits quite high off the road so apart from the damage that could be done to my suspension it was just bearable. I would not recommend doing it with a saloon-type low-to-the-ground car. The other issue is with being limited to where you can walk around the lodge as there seems to be conflict with the owner of the old hotel who also has gates at both sides of his property which is something I don't see as necessary.

The lodge is a little gem hidden away, family and pet friendly.

The noise free time was awesome! As a Fibromyalgia sufferer this was the perfect place to relax & recharge. Also, the bed was soo comfortable definitely the customer was at the heart in everything the owners did and do here. They deserve a recognition for this and have no problem on highly recommend this place to anyone . The only observation as dog owner is that the overgrown area at the back could be cleared a bit for the dogs to indulge smelling and playing in the grass. Saying this my girls were treated as guests too and thank you so much for the efforts made to make us all feel welcome! We loved the place and it was difficult to leave

Absolutely brilliant time away here, nice & clean, spacious and very very comfortable beds & seating areas.

Nice & quiet like we wanted, close by to visit lots of towns & ports & the owners where very helpful and left you to it. Would definitely go back…

Lodge finished off to high spec . Hot tub area very relaxing and nicely set up. Barbecue so easy to use. Absolute sun trap from early morning right through to early evening. Will look forward to booking again

Little Lodge is a perfect peaceful retreat if you want to get away from it all.

The Lodge is very clean and comfortable, and the owners have thought of every little detail to meet the guests needs, including those of the dogs. The owners are very friendly and helpful and on hand should you need them but leave you to enjoy your time there. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the hottub was an added bonus. To top it all the northern lights put on an amazing show viewed from the balcony. Highly recommend this Lodge.

Absolute perfection!

The cabin is maintained and presented to an extremely high standard with amazing attention to detail. Mel, the owner, adds a personal touch by greeting his guests on arrival and introducing them to the cabin, facilities and local area. Absolute privacy throughout our stay. Cant recommend Little Lodge enough! We are definitely going to book again.

Absolutely beautiful location, great people who welcomed us straight away, very friendly, would 100% recommend this place to anyone as the location and the scenery is amazing as well for any naturists interested in exploring this area of Scotland

Little Lodge is well laid out, beds are comfortable kitchen, dining area all well set out.

Wifi great but Sat freeview effected by the weather. The hot tub could do with a bit more windbreak around as net curtains are good for privacy but not the elements. Was good for old aching bones and joints and relaxing in the evening. But sadly only let down is road conditions which like the main roads are full of potholes but the materials are there to more than likely be repaired during the better weather. Mel & his wife were always available to help if it was needed. Would we stay again yes hopefully in the near future.

Fabulous stay in a gorgeous, clean cabin.

The attention to detail was first rate. Friendly hosts and gorgeous setting. The stars were incredible and the wildlife around was fascinating.
