Description
Glan Yr Afon is a welcoming holiday retreat tucked away near the village of Bontnewydd, offering a laid-back base for families or friends keen to explore the landscapes and landmarks of North Wales.
Set in a peaceful spot, this cabin strikes a nice balance between rural calm and easy access to some of the region’s most popular destinations.

A fresh, well-presented shower room completes the layout, keeping things simple and practical throughout your stay.
Outside, indulge yourselves in a purpose built outside bathroom with roll top bath and breathe in the country air in your open garden space which gives you room to relax, perhaps with a morning coffee or while watching the light fade at the end of the day.
Off-road parking close by keeps arrivals and day trips refreshingly straightforward, and with WiFi, heating, bed linen, and towels all included, you can focus on enjoying your time away.
The surrounding area is packed with things to see and do.
Caernarfon, with its mighty castle and waterfront views, is easily reached by car and makes for a great day out.
Llanberis offers lakeside walks around Llyn Padarn and access to Snowdon’s well-trodden paths, while Bangor provides shops, cafés, and cultural highlights.
Closer to home, Dinas Dinlle is about 1 mile away and offers a sandy beach, breathtaking views and a hilltop Iron Age Fort.
Whether you’re drawn to mountain scenery, historic towns, or relaxed coastal days, everything is close at hand.
Glan Yr Afon is a straightforward, comfortable base that puts the best of Gwynedd right on your doorstep.

What guests are saying
What a lovely quirky cottage, in a truly beautiful setting.
It was so quiet and peaceful with the little stream at the bottom of the garden. The garden is lovely, with wild type planting and surrounded by trees. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outisde with a glas of wine and toasting marshmallows on the firepit. Our only regret was that we weren't staying longer.
Very clean, with a comfortable bed, lots of wildlife and close to beach, could do with more storage in the kitchen, with us coming for a week,we bring most of our food with us, we loved the garden and the outdoor bath, door to the conservatory is the main way in think a more secure lock is needed, but didn't stop us enjoying this lovely property ,thanks
A lovely little lodge in a quiet setting, which is comfortable, cosy and modern inside.
