Vendee Lodge

The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

The view from the balcony is spectacular. Although located on a busy site Vendee is in a quieter location which suited us. Disappointed that dogs had to be kept on leads on the path leading to the beach. Despite not having the best weather we really enjoyed our stay.

What an absolutely beautiful van and spotlessly clean.

It had everything you could possibly need for a holiday, lovely views and great central location for exploring the Isle. Would definitely come again

A Wonderful Stay!

The lodge is absolutely beautiful with such an incredible view. The host was fantastic, providing great communication and advice for our stay. It was peaceful and relaxing—exactly what we needed to unwind. The lodge had everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a home away from home. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

The Lodge is beautiful and extremely comfortable.

Lots of thought has gone in to the fitting out. The surrounding countryside provides a lovely peaceful outlook and we sprnt lazy mornings sitting on the decking relaxing, reading, listening to the birdsong. Later we visited various places, finding lesser known beaches and coves. Many good pub restaurants to visit.

The lodge was a joy - clean, comfortable and ideally situated in a quieter part of the park with delightful views across fields and countryside.

The park itself was also very well maintained and clean.

Vendee Lodge thoroughly deserves the 5 star ratings it has been given.

  This lodge is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location on the park is superb with fantastic views over the countryside. The rear balcony gets the sun in the morning and afternoon and the side balcony gets the sun in the evening.  We were lucky to have good weather and enjoyed many an hour with coffee (or a glass of wine) enjoying the view. Thorness Bay has a well stocked shop for essentials and a chip shop which was very good. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it did look good value for money. There is a large Asda in Newport which is about a 15 minute drive away and I can recommend a visit to Harvey Browns Farm Shop on the road between Newport and Sandown.   Out and about there is plenty to see. Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House really need a visit. If you belong to English Heritage or CSSC then entry is free. West Cowes is lovely (not much in East Cowes) and we like Yarmouth....some lovely walks around Yarmouth if you have a dog with you.  Really didn't want to leave, we had a lovely stay.

Vendee Lodge is a really lovely comfortable modern holiday lodge.

It is Tastefully put together & is well equipped with most things you might want in the kitchen. The seating was cosy & comfortable. TV easy to use. The bed room was lovely & fairly spacious, bigger than I had expected. Jayne the owner checked in with us on our arrival evening to see if everything was ok for us & arranged for clean linen & towels for our second week. Which we appreciated. Not something that we have had at any other accommodation when we have stayed for two weeks. Thank you Jayne. The view from the patio window & the seating area was a real treat. Stunning views across the countryside. We loved our stay on the Isle of Wight & in the beautiful Vendee Lodge. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here. It was our first stay in a lodge & we enjoyed it very much. I would certainly go again.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at Vendee Lodge It was very clean and tidy with all home comforts, lovely views from the outside decking area, and ideally situated for exploring the whole of the island.

Best Caravan We have have ever stayed in.

Everything you needed Supplied. Gorgeous Location, & Views. Shops all near by to hand. We went for the Scooter Rally, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Biggest ever this year. Betsy settled in really well, and loved being on the decking. We have just Rebooked for next year. Thank you Jayne so much 10/10.

Good value for money.

We booked in July 2023 for July 2024.

My husband had 3 strokes, February,March and June 2024. I debated cancelling. I so glad I didn’t. It was amazing. The property had everything we needed. Sitting on the decking with my husband in the sunshine was the best medicine ever. As you can imagine we spent every day at the property and wanted for nothing. Our little dog Mylo loved going on the decking and have a nosey at the neighbours and sun bathing. The property is beautiful, well equipped. Very very clean. If I get the chance I would love to return one day. Thank you Jayne we had an amazing 2 week stay. Made some new memories with my hubby.

We had the most fabulous week in vendee lodge.

The lodge itself is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. The view from the lodge is gorgeous. The located at the edge of the holiday park but with easy access to the shop, entertainment centre and beach. This was our first trip to the isle of wight and we'll definitely be back as there's so much to do.

Just back from a very relaxing stay at Vendee Lodge.

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views were stunning even in the rain! Location is very good and there were many facilities on site within easy reach, the lodge is not surrounded by them and is therefore more quiet and peaceful. We would recommend a stay here. We hope Jayne gets the chance to return for a holiday too.

My wife,teenage son,and I had a very relaxing/comfortable stay at vendee Lodge in Thorness Bay. I can assure you that the accommodation is very clean,very well equipped with delicious views and homely touches/decor. Also surprisingly peaceful for a holiday park! The host is very responsive and polite. Everywhere on the isle is accessible from vendee lodge by car within say half an hour. Really didn't want to leave. Would we stay here again or recommend Vendee? You betcha we would. Its a 10 from us.

Fantastic views, comfy homely in Medina Rise which is a beautiful position on Thorness Bay overlooking the Solent.

A lovely lodge, very comfortable and clean.

The owner contacted us by text when we arrived which made us feel as if we were at home. Our dog was very comfortable on the throw that was left for her to use. The two bathrooms proved to be a real bonus as we had two days when we were far from well. I had to stop my husband reverting to his usual role of Mr Fixit, as there were a couple of little things that needed attention- both toilet seats were loose and one of the bathroom doors didn't catch. We struggled with Newport on our first day but then discovered the scenic route to the rest of the island via Cowes and the floating bridge to East Cowes.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Vendee lodge.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed. The view was beautiful. Would recommend.

Could have done with a king size quilt on a king size bed not a double quilt cold bum when turning over.

A beautiful lodge, very comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and welcoming.

Jayne was the perfect host - she seemed invested in making sure we had everything we needed and shared useful knowledge and recommendations for the area. Excellent base for travelling around, but breathtaking views from the lodge itself and just short walk to Thorness Bay - so peaceful and calm. Would definitely recommend and hope to revisit in the future. Thank you so very much for making our holiday so very special.

This is a very nice lodge and the view is exactly as you see in the picture.

It is stunning, and the sun rises directly in the East, in front of the main windows - wow! The lodge is very comfortable and very homely. We didn't have any issues. The owner is very helpful in all their communications. The lodge is on a quieter part of the holiday park with about 12 other lodges, and this seclusion was appreciated. Speaking about the holiday park itself, it had fewer facilities than others we have visited, but Vendee Lodge is so nice, and the area so pleasant, you are sure to find a lot of other things to do off site!

Beautiful lodge in a very quiet place with a gorgeous view.

Location was by the coast and in easy reach of local attractions. Everything you would need was supplied along with extra added touches. Very spacious and very clean. Contact with the owner was easy and very friendly.

Everything was spot on.

Lovely place.

Clean comfortable and loved the items left for us to use. Dog loved the area and plenty of walks. No hairs left for you as our dog does not malt. One thing nowhere to plug in razors or toothbrushes. Regarding the site, it was a shame that there was no covered space for the entertainment or restraunt with a dog. Consequently we did not use it. Could have sat outside if there had been more tables and chairs. Beautiful well done the owners.

The property was amazing, everything as advertised and more, we really didn’t want to come home. Would definitely recommend this lodge .

It is beautifully furnished with lovely touches and very comfortable and cosy. The outlook over the fields is very calming and it is so peaceful. This is a perfect place to stay and we will definitely be back.

Was cleaned to a very high standard and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive to any queries we had. The location was perfect for us, on a quiet road away from the busy area, but less than 5 mins walk to the pool/restaurant/bar and footpath to the little beach, coastal path etc. About 10 mins drive to East Cowes. Stunning views of the countryside from the terrace. A lovely place to stay.
