Perfect for couples seeking a unique retreat, Cava is just moments away from the local amenities and Ryde’s beautiful beach, as well as enjoying magnificent views out towards the Mermaid Gin Distillery Vineyard.
Step into the open-plan living space, where the chef of the group can acquaint themselves with the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience.
Tuck-in to your meal at the dining table for four over a celebratory bottle of fizz or dine alfresco with a countryside backdrop out on the front decking.
As the evening grows darker, retreat to the sofa where you can snuggle up and select a much-loved film from the wall-mounted TV.

We had a fab time at Cava for a weeks family holiday.
This was the second year in a row that we’ve been to the IoW, this time staying over in the east side of the island. Cava was really nice, on a little clutch of lodges called ‘The Vinyard’, right next to the Mermaid Gin distillery and pub (bonus!). The hot tub was great to have when we got back after a hard days beaching, paddle boarding or kayaking. The only slight downside is the rear garden and hot tub do back onto a fairly busy road, but we didn’t find it an issue.
This was our 3rd visit to Cava & we plan to book again for next year.
As before, the accommodation was spotless, beds super comfy, kitchen well stocked & the new sofa was a welcome addition. A couple of minor comments: - internal door closures could be loosened a bit to make doors less heavy & difficult to open/close - size/shape of bathroom sink not really suitable for washing/shaving/brushing teeth (more suitable for a downstairs cloakroom) - it would be nice if decking & furniture could be swept of cobwebs etc. We look forward to returning to Cava next year to enjoy spending a week on this well kept, peaceful & beautiful site.
This is the second time we have stayed on this site.
This time we bought our adult grandchildren so we booked both Cava and Chianti. It is a lovely site, beautifully maintained. The accommodation is clean and well equipped. One small issue is the twin beds. It would be better if they could be configured into a double on request. I found sleeping in a single quite uncomfortable. A lot of other places tend to have the zip lock beds so they can be either double or single on request. Aside from that it is a lovely site and nicely located with a lovely pub at the top.
