Appealing to couples, Merlot provides an ideal base for accessing the delights of the Isle of Wight, with a sandy beach just a mile and a half away.
The hut features a studio-style open-plan layout, with a kitchenette housing the basic amenities for a weekend away, handy for when you’re not sampling the local cuisine.
The interior features inset lighting in the ceilings over the bed/seating area, giving the impression of a starlit sky at night.
Start your nightly routine in the shower room, freshening up with a warm rinse, before accessing the pull-down double bed from the dining space.
However you choose to spend your holiday time, return to the delight of Merlot and recharge for the next adventure.

All was as described.
The location is excellent. Plenty of parking and very quiet. Could do with a sweep round the ceiling area to remove a few cobwebs though and the the sofa was not very comfortable for long term sitting. Bed was though so sleeping wasn't a problem. Thanks
Freezer needed defrosting Cabinet door to fridge was damaged
Our stay in Merlot was just perfect.
The heat wave had made the hut very warm but we opened windows and after three nights the owners provided us with a fan which was much appreciated. This was the first time we had visited the Isle of Wight, we will return. The Shepherds hut is well thought out with space, good lighting,very comfortable bed and an amazing view. Well positioned to explore the island. A 15 minute walk into the unspoilt resort of Seaview is well worth a visit.
