“The lodge was immaculate on arrival, (apart from some cobwebs on the windows and garden furniture).”

Nicely furnished and comfortable sofa and beds. Good quality towels and linen. Kitchen appliances were all clean and in good working order, and easy to use. Nice that liquid and tablets were provided in the kitchen. The only disappointment was the size of the fridge with a tiny ice box, maybe this could be upgraded when it needs replacing. Nice that liquid and tablets were provided in the kitchen. The only disappointment was the size of the fridge with a tiny ice box, maybe this could be upgraded when it needs replacing. The lounge/dining area was comfortable, but too much furniture. It was difficult to walk past the sofa with the sideboard so close. I noticed that some of the other lodges had the sideboard under the TV, which would resolve the problem. We had a couple of maintainance issues and found that the managing agents were excellent and resolved the problem within a few hours. The hot tub was a lovely addition and worked really well. A couple of sunlougers in the garden would be nice as the king and queen furniture was too heavy to move. All in all, a lovely stay. We would recommend this property and will return ourselves

About the location

SEAVIEW

Ryde 2.6 miles.

Seaview is a small Edwardian seaside village on the north eastern shores of the Isle of Wight, only a 15 minute drive from the superb transport links of Ryde. Seaview is one of the South of England’s most famous holiday destinations, with a reputation of being an upmarket resort. This lovely seaside resort has stunning views out across the Solent, gorgeous golden sandy beaches, a sailing club, boutique shops and many popular restaurants and pubs, such as The Seaview Hotel and The Old Fort. On the coastal footpath towards Ryde just off Springvale is Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, now with tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area set within its pretty gardens. In the summer, locals and tourists take part in the famous Seaview Regatta, competing in many traditional activities, with races on the beach at Seagrove Bay, rowing in the village’s own unique boats, tug of war, the greasy pole and diving, all concluded at the end of the week with a magnificent firework display. As well as being a coastal village the nearby countryside at Seaview’s Duver is a nature reserve, with frequent visits from the beautiful red squirrel, as well as having an incredible array of bird life. A wonderful Isle of Wight base.
