Pinot

We loved our experience in Isle of Wight.

The accommodation was really nice, clean and comfortable and the hot tub was perfect. Definitely will recommend to anyone.

The property needed cleaning thoroughly.

There were many cobwebs and the oven had not been cleaned. Air conditioning would help as the lodge was extremely hot with no windows in the bedrooms so we had to wedge open the door to help with sleeping. We reported a problem with the plug in the bathroom on the Sunday but it still wasn't repaired when we left the following Saturday.

We loved our time in Pinot - such a lovely place in general - very quiet site.

A couple of suggestions, which I have already mentioned: Bath Robe for when you get out of hot tub would be great A hairdryer would be nice hooks to hold open the doors Proper curtains at the doors - but I know this is already being sorted Would not hesitate to recommend :)

Pinot is located in a beautiful landscape , surrounded by countryside and grapevines.

A morning chorus of birdsong was most welcome and the frolicking bunny rabbits were entertaining as the sunset. Ideal location for visiting local attractions:- Osborne House was outstanding, local Ryde esplanades were great for evening walks, Isle of Wight steam Railway was great fun, Shanklin Chine was a lovely interesting peaceful setting with beautiful waterfalls set in a natural gorge . The food in the bestdressedcrab restaurant was delicious in Bembridge with stunning harbour views. Newport Roman villa had an interesting history to its discovery and very well preserved. And our last visit was to Carisborne Castle in Newport- the last residing residence being Princess Beatrice , Queen Victoria’s daughter. The main garden was recently restored and designed by Chris Beardshaw in a fashion that Princess Beatrice would have enjoyed. So as you can see Pinot was an ideal location for visiting absolutely everywhere on the Island, even the Needles which was the most furthest away only took 45 minutes. Will definitely return.

Excellent property and a very useful location over on the East side of the island.

Pinot is a lovely holiday lodge.

Well maintained and in an excellent location to explore the island. Having the Mermaid gin bar next door is a bonus! Jon came out within the hour to fix a broken lock for us which was much appreciated. The lodge is accessible and my only suggestions to improve this would be the addition of a grab rail in the shower, a seat in the bathroom and a seat by a lower mirror all of which would really help those with mobility issues.

This was our 3rd visit to the Vineyard.

Again we had a great time and hopefully we will be back. Wishing Well nearby is a bonus.

The property looked really nice when we arrived but we kept finding places that had not been cleaned.

There were cobwebs in most corners of the bathroom and kitchen/ living, area so we had a few spiders about. When I went to take out the colander from the cupboard a massive cobweb came out with it. It was much appreciated to find milk, biscuits, tea & coffee when we arrived but the property had no teapot, which was disappointing for us tea drinkers. The outside tap was dripping all the time we were there and for an eco house we thought it was a waste of electricity to constantly keep the hot tub running. The outside of the property, at the back was dirty and cobwebby, and looked like it had not been cleaned down in a while. When my husband shaved each morning he had no mirror above the sink and had to step aside to the mirror that was there hence dripping water and shaving foam on the floor. The bed was comfy and clean. We were glad that the weather wasn’t too hot because there were no windows in the bedrooms and it would have been very uncomfortable, especially for a woman of a certain age

We had a great week staying at Pinot.

This lodge was very clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We both enjoyed using the hot tub. Location is quiet with a handy pub serving good food. It was very easy to drive anywhere on the island from this site. Contacted Jon about a minor issue and received very prompt and friendly service.

Fantastic property, easy to park outside, excellent ramp up to the door.

The bathroom had loads of room and the shower was had no step which made it so easy for my wife. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay was in the kitchen area.

Excellent stay everything was as described , welcome pack was a bonus did not expect that.

Hot Tub was all good set at a good temp.and a good size, All in all a enjoyable week with no probs.

Would highly recommend this lodge we spend a week there for a romantic retreat away was amazing even down to the location , also the loads it self hot tube was amazing bed etc so comfy Definitely be going back in summer

A very comfortable stay in a great location.

Property had everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen if you wanted to stay in and cook. Pinot would benefit from something to put a hand towel on by the sink.

Couple minor issues, but would help to elevate the experience of staying in this lovely accommodation.

Need oven gloves, lack of was only noticed when trying to get something hot out of oven. Teapot would be much nicer to us tea drinkers than having to dunk tea bag in a cup. Biggest issue, which I can see from the marks on ceiling is the escape light in the bedroom above patio doors, it is so bright I had to buy eye mask to be able to sleep, and judging from the tape marks on the ceiling so have other users who have tried to tape cardboard over it.

Lodge is fantastic!

It is well equipped and comfortable. The view across the vineyard each morning was lovely and the site is so peaceful. Having the hot tub was wonderful (though a covered roof for rainy days would have been good with the British weather!) One of the best holiday places we have visited on Isle of Wight. We would love to return.

We appreciate the need for fire doors .

The spring on them is extremely strong, so much so that I hurt my arm when one closed on me and did make entering and exiting bedrooms difficult for me during our stay. We would not therefore book Pinot again .

This was our second time staying in Pinot, it was even better than the first time as we had a week of sun.

I could quite easily live in there all the time, it has everything you need, it’s kept spotless, the WiFi is good, plenty of towels, hot water. The hot tub outside is great as well. The added bonus this time was that the Mermaid Inn next door to the site had it’s restaurant open (it wasn’t last October). The food in there is great with huge portions (especially the fish and chips). My only advice would be that if your staying during the summer months take a fan with you as they do get very warm. We will definitely be going back for a third stay.

The green light in the bedrooms can keep you awake.

The rest is lovely.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Pinot, situated in a very nice area of the island!

Very quiet and pleasant surroundings, well equipped, immaculately clean, and very high quality furnishings throughout. We appreciated the hot tub, which was very relaxing after a day exploring. Beautiful view from the front patio, and we enjoyed some gin tasting at the Wishing well, just adjacent to the property. We hope to return one day! Thankyou!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay ultra clean very spacious and extremely well equipped Enjoyable stay in Pinot beds very comfortable excellent location and beautiful countryside views nice and peaceful would highly recommend Due to location definately need a car to get around Having spent many holidays on Isle of Wight this has to be one the best places to stay
