We had no hot water for the duration of our stay although maintenance came out three times, the fix was only temporary. When stripping the beds on the day of departure, I was almost sick to see the state of the mattresses we were sleeping on. The whole experience I would not like to repeat.

Hi Chris, we are very sorry to hear about the problem during your stay. Although there is a walk from the car park, we will check the description and make sure it is clear that there is a short walk and we will measure the distance and add that so it is clear. The maintenance team are always very fast to respond to any problems and I am sorry the issue repeated until they could fully resolve it. When we visited earlier in the year the mattress was in a sound condition, so I can only think that something has happened over the summer, we are following up with the housekeeper to check if they had noticed the deterioration as well. We are visiting before we have any other guests, and we will replace the mattress during the visit. We are really sorry it affected your stay, and we will be contacting Sykes to see if we can do anything about it with them. We would like to make it up to you and offer you a discount if you wanted to come back to stay with us again on the island.
