“We loved Forbes 1.”
It had all the basics that we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-appointed and led onto the dining room and living room, all clean and easy to relax in. There were two bathrooms, one en-suite, which worked well for us. Two of our little group have mobility issues, so having the whole accommodation on one floor made life easier for all. All three of us said we would be happy to return. We didn't know the Isle of Wight beforehand, but we feel fortunate to have come across this property and spent most of our time exploring beautiful West Wight and relaxing at the property in the evenings. Unfortunately, when we locked the door one day, the lock barrel came loose, but the owner responded quickly and repaired the lock without any fuss. We really appreciated this. The site was open and well-maintained, just a 20-minute walk to Yarmouth. Right at the end of our holiday, we decided to go to the nearby Fort Victoria and were really taken with the view. We were able to relax with a coffee from the cafe there, whilst enjoying the sunshine. This location was a gem that could be mentioned in the information provided. I even found a fossilised creature in a lump of chalk on the shoreline - really exciting!
