WEST LODGE

A stunning property, Upon arrival Kellie greeted us, gave us a quick tour of the property and even recommended some nearby places to visit during our stay.

The location is perfect for getting out to the coast, Canterbury and Outlet village with Tesco only 5 minutes away The owner have made such great use of the space, fitting the property with everything you could need during your stay and lovely garden with large pond- a brilliant spot to sit with a book and unwind.Kids enjoyed table football . Family were in need of a relaxing holiday and West lodge has delivered exactly that. We will definitely be recommending to family & friends and if we are ever visiting this part of the country again in future, we would love to stay again!

Very nice property and central to lots of areas.

Nice touches throughout however 2 single beds in the 3rd bedroom were extremely uncomfortable. The photos don't also show that the upstairs bedroom is open plan leading onto the stairs, which is ok if you're aware. Few cobwebs here and there, but it's an old property and the patio and garden could do with some tlc. Properties surrounding are residential but ample parking and very quiet. Take mozzy spray for the lake.

Really lovely stay at west lodge, the accommodation was very clean and is in a lovely setting.

We are 70 year old recreational cyclists who meet up 3 times a year for a relaxed adventure We were greeted by Kellie who provided us with a welcome basket of bread juice and some other bits and pieces (handy as we hadn’t time to go to the shops).

The place was the best place we have stayed in our 40+ places on air Bnb and hotels. The facilities were top notch and Kellie made sure that we settled in and had the right info. We like to cook and everything was there. In the evening we sat out for a bit to enjoy the view over the pond and listen to the birdsong. It was nice and warm inside. We will come back the next time we cycle in Kent and one of our group plans to being his grandchildren in the summer if it is not booked up.

The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the wooden beams, log fire, and views of the countryside made for an exceptionally cosy stay. Kellie was very friendly and helpful and arranged for the furniture to be brought out as it was a lovely sunny week. If you are a light sleeper it might be best to sleep downstairs as the boiler is in the upstairs bedroom but other than that we had no issues. We will certainly return and recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful character cottage in peaceful, rural surroundings.

Lots of birdsong! Spotlessly clean and with generous welcome pack on arrival. Proprietress on hand and v helpful - available but not intrusive. Excellent location within 20 - 40 minutes of Canterbury Cathedral, Dover castle, Dungeness, Siisinghurst Castle Gardens and Ightham Mote.

Had a perfect stay at West Lodge, the accommodation was beautiful, extremely clean and had everything we needed to feel at home.

We came with 3 toddlers and Kellie was so accommodating, we had high chairs and cots and a baby gate which was so appreciated with small kids. The location is fantastic with a big tesco 5 mins away and close to the town and loads of nice things to do nearby. We would absolutely stay again, thank you so much!

This is such a gorgeous place to stay, warm and cosy with some really lovely little touches!

Close to amenities with the feeling of space and country, we loved our 10 nights here and would highly recommend West Lodge!

We were delighted with West Lodge.

Kellie gave us the warmest welcome and the lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We instantly felt we were somewhere special for our family get together. It was clean and warm, there were plenty of kitchen cupboards, crockery etc . Lots of thought had gone into making you feel as comfortable as possible, linen, towels, table linen, napkins, plenty of washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Even a welcome basket with enough to eat supper straight away you arrive late. It is spacious for 6 people and the lounge, dining rooms kitchen flows nicely for entertaining. Lovely new beds too. We would say that the whole experience was warming and we really felt we could relax into our weekend. Thank you Kellie, Cidney and Jeffery. We will return!

Spent a week here with my two sons, aged 10 and 14, but the cottage could easily provide space for two more adults.

It is cosy, warm and extremely well-equipped up to modern standards. There is not just a welcoming basket with toast, milk, eggs, and juice, but also washing liquids, detergents and the like, not to forget plenty of fire logs and, and and... Apart from food, we didn't have to buy anything for the week. The boys enjoyed the table soccer in the shed at the end of the private garden. We found the cottage spotless upon our arrival and Kellie was charming and helpful. Close to Ashford with all its amenities, yet situated in a quiet and peaceful countryside setting, West Lodge provides an ideal base for trips all around beautiful Kent. We can only recommend!

We had such a lovely long weekend - the house was very comfortable, in a lovely setting, and we felt very welcome!

We only wished we'd been staying longer. We hope to come back!

Hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. House was more than comfortable, being both quirky and modern. Situated in quiet,picturesque countryside but also very convenient for shops,pubs and restaurants. Lots of walks available and near to coast. Would definitely recommend it. Andy & Margaret
