“We stayed at the hut for a week with our little Jack Russell and we had such an amazing time.”

The hut has everything you need and it’s very cosy. The log burn was amazing and kept us warm but it has an electric heater as well. The walks around were amazing and also 3 pubs in walking distance. The red lion one is my favourite. Lucy is so helpful and replies to messages straight away. She was so kind to provide milk, bread, coffee and Christmas goodies ! The place is so relaxing and quiet . You open the window and the only sound you may hear is the pig, horse or sheep’s . I would love ...

With lovely views and location, within walking distance of two pubs, this humble abode can offer the ideal romantic getaway for a couple.

If you are looking to explore the wonderful countryside and coastline of the South East of England, this is the spot for you, where you can relax and unwind on return from each magical day out with your better half.

Climb inside to find a beautifully decorated shepherd's hut featuring a kitchenette for you to stow away chilled drinks and essentials in the fridge, cook a light meal on the electric hob and do your washing up at the Belfast sink.

While the kettle boils away for your morning tea after you've had your shower in the separate shower room, prepare a spot of breakfast and enjoy it at the dining table, before heading out for the day to explore the area.

On return, you can sit outside of an evening and soak up what's left of the summer sunshine and when it gets cooler, light the log burner and get all cosy under a blanket and the starry night sky, there is also an electric wall heater.

You also have a woodburning stove within the shepherd's hut to take the chill off before you get into bed.

The village of Kingston, just moments away is home to The Black Robin pub, while Barham village has The Duke of Cumberland, each accessible on foot.

This is also a good area for cycling and the nearby city of Canterbury has many tourist attractions to grab your attention, including the oldest cathedral in England.

You can take a boat trip out on the River Stour and drink in the wonderful, scenic views and ancient history or perhaps you might want to explore one of the many walking trails in the city.

If you like long walks though, the North Downs Way is not to be missed, where you'll discover history at each twist and turn.

Find the perfect escape with your loved one at The Shepherds Hut at Marley.
