Lovely stay everything you may need.

Pity about the noisy neighbours though ( Seagulls)

This property is a delight.

Very comfortable, had everything we needed and was very spacious; I cannot fault it. Great location for exploring this part of the coast.

We had a lovely stay here, the lodge is so spacious and very comfortable, had everything we needed and a nice welcome pack, we would stay here again when coming to this area.

The weather was terrible so it was a good job that the cottage was so spacious, well-equiped and comfortable as we spent quite a lot of time in it!

Very nice owner. Only suggestion for improvement would be some handles on the very large bath to help old fogies to get in and out.

A great base to explore the area.

Accommodation was clean and had all we needed for our stay. Very thoughtful gifts of wine and cake on arrival. Comfortable sofas and bed. A fan had been provided whch was very appreciated. Be aware this lodge is in the back of someone's property and as such has no views. This didn't bother us. There is a small outside area to sit. Communication was excellent and although we didn't need any assistance we felt that it would be easy to get help from the owners if need be.

A well equipped and comfortable accommodation benefitting from two en suite bedrooms and even a third toilet as well.

The outside space is limited with regard to views but is private and offers both sun and shade, we enjoyed a glass of wine in this area in the evening. As regards the various comments relating to the difficulty closing the door, the trick is hold the handle down and push gently on the bottom of the door, but hopefully it will be fixed soon. Rye, Winchelsea and Hasting are great places to visit and are accessible by bus but the time table is a little "flexible" at times. If your travelling from the North via the Dartford crossing, remember to pay the Dartford Charge on line before or within 24 hrs after use. We really enjoyed our stay at Sparrows Den.

Everything you need on holiday.

Nicely laid out inside the lodge. Had a bit of trouble opening and shutting the lodge door. Could of done with some information on the surrounding area. Said there was pubs nearby which there was but didn't do food.

Second time staying at Sparrow Lodge.

The property is ideal for our needs. The accommodation is comfortable and on arrival The property was extremely clean and tidy. We enjoy the surrounding area of Winchelsea Beach and was fortunate to experience glorious weather

Lovely and spacious.

Plenty of hot water and nice and warm which helped for our stay in January. Ideal location with parking. Good walking area with plenty of bird watching available. Our host was very accommodating but not intrusive.

On the whole this is a nice property, on arrival it was very clean.

Shower Some areas need maintenance. (Shower room, carpets are stained in places, and some general painting needed, front door was difficult to open. This property doesn’t have a view at all but is walking distance to the beach. There is ample storage, but some of it was taken up with thinks for the property. One in our party has limited mobility and struggled with the shower because the door opens l a bit narrow. We enjoyed our stay on the whole and would return in the future. Owner is very quick when responding to queries.

The property was awesome as was the owner Carole who made us feel very welcome.

Some biscuits, cake and milk, coffee to help out before we got to the supermarket. Very well appointed with everything you need from plates to pizza wheel. Nice and quiet set back from the road. Would absolutely stay here again.

The property had everything we needed for a long weekend stay.

Sparrows Den was absolutely lovely.

Everything was perfect. Would highly recommend this lodge.It is spacious and very comfortable and having TV's in bedrooms as well as in lounge was a bonus although we didn't use them but was definately a great idea. Kitchen had everything that was needed. Laundry room has Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer and a toilet. Both bedrooms had ensuites. Fabulous.

We three adults enjoyed our stay at Sparrows Den.

We were made to feel welcome and appreciated the cake and biscuits left for us. We found the bedrooms and living area very comfortable and the lodge had everything we needed for our week. Super tvs and a lovely space to relax in after a day exploring.

Lovely place although the beds could do with new mattresses or better toppers.

Abbie was friendly and sorted out my only problem very promptly. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and the bus service into Rye and Hastings was close by

Wanted a relaxing getaway and this property was ideal, being set in a quiet area ,off from the main road, The property was clean and comfortable.

Loved the TV in the bedroom and the ensuite. Only suggestion for me would be a clock in the front room. Otherwise great little place.

The cottage was modern, warm and clean with excellent facilities and a great location.

Carole and her family were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I'd highly recommend booking this property.

Lovely stay at Sparrows Den Lodge!

Beautiful lodge, and immediately felt comfortable in the property. The only thing that was a pain was that the shower door in the second bathroom didn’t open wide enough, and being 7 months pregnant, made it nearly hard to shower in there. Luckily the other bathroom was okay to use and lovely pressure of the water too! Other than that, everything was perfect! Host was always available, Co-op was very close, fast food like KFC, Pizza Hut and Dominos about 10mins away. Would defo stay again!

A well appointed lodge in a quiet residential setting, everything was set out with great thought and care, so that we were able to have a quiet, restful and comfortable stay.

The welcome was very friedly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for our friendly hosts

The property was excellent, very well furnished and finished and very spacious yet cosy.

Would highly recommend this as a location to stay on the south coast.

Overall the property was great, only issue is with the two mattress on the single beds, most likely ok for children however not to comfortable for full grown adults.

This is really the ideal 2-bedroom holiday accommodation, provided you are not fussy about the view.

Externally it is enclosed with outdoor seating areas and adjacent parking. Internally it is spacious, comfortable and with excellent facilities. Both bedrooms are en-suite, plus an extra toilet in the utility room. High quality TV in 3 rooms. Excellent WiFi. It is quiet and private, next to open countryside, close to the beach, semi-residential and in an area popular with holiday mobile parks. Very happy with this holiday accommodation.

We had a lovely break at Sparrows Den Lodge, which is accomodation of a high standard.

That said, I will say I was disapointed to see the last visitors had left opened food in the cupboards that I would've expected to have been discovered when cleaned and thrown away. Also the saucepans, frying pans and baking trays are well past their best and the cutlery is of poor quality. Minor things but when everything else is of such a high standard it really sticks out!!! There is hardly any outside space but this is obvious from the photos, and there is still furniture to use - there just isn't any view because of the fence which does give privacy as the lodge is on the owners property and they come and go throughout the day. The lodge is in a great location, just a walk through the caravan park opposite leads to the beach and there is a Co-Op, fish and chip shop and kebab shop not far away. Its a great base for getting out and about which we did every day, and a comfy place to relax in the evenings. The reclining sofa was just bliss and the double bed so comfy - we slept really well.

The lodge is everything it says ,we stayed there a couple of years ago and we loved it so decided to go back , we will probably book again sometime in the near future and we would highly recommend it, and thank you to Carol for making our stay comfortable.

The lodge was superb, everything you could need and quite luxurious.

Parking limited to one car and with six family cars around it felt rather crowded. The lodge was enclosed on two and a half sides and the rest shaded by a five foot fence. Whilst relatively private it did feel a bit claustrophobic and no views. This was as we expected from looking at the photos so no real surprise. We found it ok for an off season break but wouldn’t want to visit in summer. Bens is a brilliant local fish shop..

A great base for our short break exploring this area.

The lodge was particularly warm and cosy with good fittings and lovely to return to each evening. Christmas decorations was a lovely touch.

Really loved the chalet !

Spotlessly clean and really well designed to incorporate everything that you could need. Some really nice touches to make the chalet homely. It was a perfect venue as a base to visit the area. Our first Sykes Cottage, but definitely not our last.

The master bedroom and ensuite was so much nicer than the second bedroom and ensuite - as friends sharing one of us had a very bad deal for the same price!

The views from the property were terrible - I took photos of the 'concrete wall' from the master bedroom, the very close fence from the second bedroom and the scruffy driveway from the kitchen window. The property advertised on Skyes site does not show the terrible views or the fact that 'Sparrows Den Lodge is in the busy carpark/drive of the owners house! Very disappointed for the price!

Sparrows den lodge is a lovely, comfortable well equipped space for a quiet break on the Sussex coast.

We met Carole on arrival who was very accommodating & assured us she was always available if required. Our aim was to relax & take time to potter around Rye, Rye Harbor & Hastings while in the area & it was nice to know we had somewhere to relax after our chilly days out. A very relaxing week helped by a very comfortable stay at Sparrows den lodge.

This very comfortable lodge had everything we needed and more.

It is a 4 minute walk to the sea, and we loved the walk to the Rye Discovery Centre via the nature reserve. We saw lots of birds we don't get chance to see otherwise. We would recommend historic Rye, Canterbury (shopping and Cathedral) and Leeds Castle was fab with its maze and grotto.

Easy enough tot find, owner there to meet us a she lives in bungalow opposite.

Lodge it self spotless, everything you need. Location brilliant, near to beach near some good walks along to Rye Harbour then up into Rye. Bus stops within a few hundred yards. Would definitely recommend.

We found Sparrows Den absolutely brilliant, everything was just perfect would recommend it and will be booking again sometime in the near future.

The lodge was perfect.

Very peaceful. Just a walk across the road to the beach. The owner was lovely. Made us feel very welcome with a lovely card and a bottle of Prosecco. . Certainly a place I will be returning to..
