Watendlath
Description
Watendlath is an enchanting pet-friendly lodge in the popular town of Keswick in Cumbria.
This property is ideal for a family or friends looking for a getaway as it offers countryside views to admire from the decking area, an open-plan living space, and proximity to amenities.
Walk up the steps before entering your new holiday abode.
Meet the inviting open-plan living area, which has everything you need for a self-catered stay.
Cook something scrumptious using the electric oven and hob, with a microwave also to assist you.
Plate it up at the dining table and gather everyone together to share some funny tales as you eat.
If the sun is shining, head outside to sit on the decking area and dine alfresco.
Wash your dinner down with a drink or two as you look out at the countryside views and bask in the sun.
Once the sun ebbs away for the night, head back inside to sink into one of the sofas or claim the armchair.
Turn on the electric fire to warm up and find a show or film to watch using Netflix or Amazon Prime.
Pick out a book, a DVD or a game for some evening entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Once a yawn comes along, choose from the double or twin bedroom to rest.
Start a new day off with a refreshing shower ahead of more fun activities.
Belonging to the owner of Watendlath, The Pheasant Inn pub is within 5 minutes walk from the Lodge, and courtesy of the owner, each booking will receive a £15 complimentary voucher to spend at the pub and a 10% drinks discount each time they visit thereafter.
During your stay you can also benefit from a 10% green fee discount at Keswick Golf Club.
In Keswick, have a walk with a twist at Alpacaly Ever After, take on some outdoor activities at Keswick Extreme or view funky exhibits at Puzzling Place.
On the outskirts, you will find the serene Derwentwater, where you can have a tranquil boat trip and take on some water sports or find a perfect picnic location in the scenic Hope Park.
Latrigg Fell is within walking distance from the Lodge and is a low, accessible fell near Keswick, famous for its easy walking paths and spectacular panoramic views of Keswick, Derwentwater, and the surrounding Skiddaw fells.
It is a popular choice for families and hikers of all abilities, offering breath-taking scenery from its summit without a difficult ascent and is situated just outside Keswick, it's often called Keswick's "own fell".
Slightly further afield, near Little Crosthwaite, take in the Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve where you can have a dip, take a stroll through Mirehouse & Gardens or venture to the Lake District Wildlife Park to get up close and personal with new furry friends.
Have a holiday you will remember forever at Watendlath.

What guests are saying
We stayed here as a group of 4 for my friends for a friends birthday.
It was perfect, was cosy and had everything we needed. Gorgeous views and in walking distance to Keswick so could avoid traffic.
We’ve been to a lot of lodges over the years and Watendlath is one of the best ones!
The lodge is spotless when we came in. Everything you need for a lovely stay is included, and a few extras too like tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, dog biscuits/towels/blankets if you have your pooches with you, and some homemade shortbread that was so good, we had to buy some to take home. The beds and the couches are comfy. The enclosed decking outside was a great spot to sit at while having coffee and admiring the view of the hills. Within walking distance to the Keswick centre where all the shops are, and a 5 min walk to the Pheasant Inn which serves delicious food and is also owned by the lodge’s owner, Michelle. Highly recommend this lodge and we definitely will be back! Thanks, Michelle. x
Such a wonderful and cosy little cabin, thoughtfully decorated and furnished with everything you need with such attention to detail which just adds to the whole experience.
We visited with our two under 5's and a dog and it was perfect for our family trip away. The cabin is only a few minutes drive into the centre of Keswick which was perfect for what we needed. Our girls didn't want to leave, it's a true home from home! Definitely recommend.
