Burr Ghyll

Another fab stay in the lodge.

Had some fab weather including snow. Great location with amazing pub within walking distance. Please can the owner look to Replace frying pans though. Handles are loose and can turn all the way round with screw too rusty to repair. We had to purchase our own. The above wouldn’t stop us returning at all as we just love the lodge/park for its views/location. See you in 2026.

I've stayed at one of these lodges before so had an idea.

On first arriving well what can I say..that view was phenomenal. I miss already. I only have a few things that I think owner should take on board please. First the crockery..extremely heavy and I'm only just on 5ft..I couldn't reach to get it out the cupboard so maybe put in lower empty cupboard instead. Second the double bed has big frame and when it was covered (and when not) we kept banging into the corners. We have some serious bruises

The chalet was very clean and well equipped.

Beds were definitely on the firm side but one of the best we’ve stayed in over all.

Good location as you can walk into Keswick in about 15 minutes.

Nice view from the back of lodge. Was a bit disappointed as no welcome pack as the past 8 properties there has been one, if only a bottle of milk and cake. But not the end of the world. Everything in lodge you require so it felt very. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Our second holiday at Burr Ghyll and again a very enjoyable stay with great weather.

The lodge was very comfortable, clean and well equipped, in a quiet location, but well situated for the amenities in Keswick and for many of the fells and lakes in the area. Great views from the lodge up to Latrigg and the lower slopes of Skiddaw.

Lovely lodge and stay yet again.

So sad we had to cut it short due to a family emergency. Will be back most definitely.

A very enjoyable week in a well equipped lodge.

View from breakfast table to the hills was wonderful. It was only a 15 minute walk into Keswick and only 5 minutes to the Pheasant Inn where we had 2 lovely meals. The description mentions central heating but this was in the form of electric wall mounted heaters. Moving the table around for more than 4 people might be a bit challenging. You can get buses from Keswick to the main towns in the Lake District on a regular basis and they were always on time.

This property is great for us, perfect location for a quite stay with a short walk into Keswick, very clean and everything we need for a great holiday.

Excellent location of site shame cabins are so close to each other spoilt it for us sitting on patio hearing neighbours talk .

Could watch next-door TV clearly and see lady washing dishes. Not good. Small bedrooms okay for us might be awkward for family and my double bed had very sharp wood corners easily bashing of leg when walking around bed to get by window again not good. But lodge views to hills were superb rooms were clean well equipped good information pack and email information door locks on code no key to worry about losing. Overall we would recommend as almost perfect to enjoy the lake district from and would definitely be interested in booking again soon.

The lodge has great views towards Latrigg and Skiddaw.

A very comfortable and well appointed lodge in a quiet location with a great view of Latrigg.

We enjoyed the variety of birds on the feeder and the wildlife in the field which included red squirrels, rabbits and, on one occasion, a deer. An enjoyable and relaxing holiday, despite the mixed weather.

Absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to come home.

Lodge has everything needed for a relaxing break in The Lakes and fitted our party of 4 well although is kitted out for 6. Short walk to Keswick meant car could stay put. The views to Skiddaw range were amazing with a sense of achievement after walking them direct from the door. Great to see how the weather impacted the look of the scenery. Loved the visits from the birds - including the pheasant and watching the 3 random sheep and horse. Would have no hesitation in recommending Burr Ghyll and I'll definitely be looking to stay again.

We always love staying at the lodge, it is clean and provides all that is needed for the week including the lovely views. Will be back next year.

27 Burr Ghyll is a very nice, well equipped lodge.

The decking area is spacious and the view is amazing. The boot tidies are a great addition for walkers. The lodge is well maintained and we would recommend a stay to anyone.

Lovely Lodge with the most amazing views of the mountains.

Well equipped with everything you would need. The site is in a very good position for visiting other places in the area Ambleside,Cockermouth,Derwentwater etc Walking distance from Keswick. My daughter even walked and climbed to the top of Skiddaw from the lodge and back. We had a brilliant time hope to be back.

Another super stay in this lodge cabin .

Everything and more you could possibly wish for could be found in the kitchen . Well kept and cared for throughout. A comfy living room and bedrooms. But of course the main selling point of this lodge is the decking area and the views of the surrounding hills can't be beaten . The location of the park is ideal for anyone wanting gto explore the area. Thank you for letting us stay here again . We will be back.

Great location for exploring the Keswick area.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet and an excellent view of the fells. Everything you need for a self catering holiday within the cabin.

The Lodge was lovely and cosy.

Mostly the lodge was alright but share a previous review that the 3 piece suite could be updated.

Also the duvet on the double bed should be replaced as it was noisy when there was any movement which I found a bit annoying . Having said that we all enjoyed our holiday and wish to thank you .

Close enough to be able to walk into Keswick with all the shops and cafes, yet in a lovely and peaceful spot. Great views! Plenty of walks straight from the lodge. Can't wait to return!!

Well equipped, brilliant location, furniture is looking a little tired but made up for with everything else.

Burr Ghyll is situated in an excellent location with beautiful views on Skiddaw and Latrigg.

The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable holiday and has a very homely feel. We really enjoyed our week and have rebooked again for next year.

Another lovely visit to Burr Ghyll stayed here many times it's like home from home.

An excellent holiday lodge.

Nicely positioned within easy walk of Keswick facilities, yet on a small quiet site with great views of the fells and good parking. A couple of neighbouring "energetic" kids were tamed at the start. Refurbished to a high standard the lodge had all the facilities you would ever need, with a comprehensive guide on use of all equipment. We will definately return and recommend Burr Ghyll lodge. Thanks

All well really but the wardrobe in the e n-suite bedroom needed tidied and dusting .

It would have been good if we could have had earlier entry however we understand the present situation with covid at the moment. We would like to thank the owners for letting the lodge to us.

Stayed here many times it's home from home.

Love the many birds that use the feeder and the woodpeckers were back aswell. Clean and well stocked kitchen everything you need.

Another stay at Bhutto Ghyll and another excellent time had by all.
