Beech Lodge

Very pleasant place to stay.

Good facilities and very comfortable. Plenty of peace and quiet as it is located in a peaceful rural spot. Enjoyed our week at this property.

We've been staying at Woodfold at least one week per year for 5 or 6 years now.

We love the fishing, the peace and quiet, the proximity to Garstang or Bowland, and the lodges themselves, even though we only live around 20 miles away. Although all 3 lodges are laid out pretty identically Beech Lodge just edges it as our favourite, but you can't go wrong with the other 2 either. There are a few pubs nearby with good food, although best reached in the car, but for home cooking the lodges themselves have everything you need. I was so disappointed to be going home in June I booked another week in September!

We have been going for the last five years. The fishing is excellent, the lodge has everything you will need and it’s in a great quiet location.

A quiet spot just outside the village of Whitechapel.

Well equipped and comfortable. We would have extended our stay had there been availability. Ideal for those interested in fishing and rambling. We can certainly recommend Beech Lodge.

This was a beautiful lodge situated in a great country area with wildlife galore and lovely scenery.

Also fishing lakes. It is beautifully decorated and great showers. Good cooking facilities. The owner was really nice and checked if we were ok. It is very near Blackpool, Preston and easy to get to Liverpool etc. Lovely surrounding villages, pub etc. A wee shout out for The Three Lights Restaurant. Great food. Lovely people. I would highly recommend the lodges to anyone.

A very warm, comfortable lodge with a well-equipped kitchen.

The surroundings were very peaceful with lovely countryside views. A good location for visiting areas of interest, particularly due to its proximity to the M6 motorway.

My stay at this property was excellent.

Sue and John were so attentive and caring making sure that my stay was so enjoyable. The scenery from the accommodation was beautiful. The facilities in the lodge were everything one would need, home from home.

Definitely a five star experience!

A very comfortable, spacious and well equipped lodge, with everything a couple, or small group, could need for a break. Surrounded by open countryside with well trimmed walks around the adjacent fishing lakes, distant views from the lounge and an afternoon sun-trap on the terrace what else could a person want? A glass of wine perhaps? Already provided - well done John and Sue!
