Absolutely loved the lodge and all its facilities.

Also its location to lake Windemere and the lovely village it’s located next to. The tinest issue is on the stairs going out the top of the post came off which I put back on probably caused by the rain.

What a lovely lodge in a quiet and rural location.

Arrived early and met Colette the owner as she was still getting the lodge ready. Very friendly and helpful lady, with tips on the local area. Came back later to check in, and the lodge is great. Very well equipped, very clean and with a spacious decking at the front, which is a great sun trap on the days we were lucky enough to have sun. There is a bird table in front of the decking, which Colette had filled up and we bought extra supplies during the week. It is a very busy table and with the added joy of hedgehogs coming late at night to tidy up and share our dogs food! The actual accommodation is equipped to a really good standard, great leather reclining sofas, comfy bed. Wifi does drop out and we had 1 night that the tv spent more time buffering, but this is a rural area with intermittent signal so if you need to be connected to the hub 24hours a day maybe a different holiday is for you. The only slight negative is that 2 small hand towels and 2 small bath towels are left for use, if you are more of a curvy lady (or man) take your own bath sheet! You are only a 5 min drive to Cartmel or to head to Grange. The Pheasant Inn and The commodore at Grange are both really good and reasonably priced for the area. Also in Grange is a Tesco Express. The Royal Oak in Cartmel has a lovely beer garden along with chickens and is dog friendly. I would def visit Robin Lodge again.

When we got to the lodge and went inside the place was immaculate all the way through, everything is good quality especially the sofas, the little garden area was filled with wildlife and we loved feeding the birds and squirrels.

We had a fabulous stay there and will definitely be going back highly recommend this place if going to lakes.
