Watch Tree Lodge is one of the loveliest accomodations we have ever stayed in!

The cleanliness and little touches provided on arrival were outstanding, and the lodge itself is in the most beautiful location, it is so peaceful and relaxing. We had a fantastic weekend exploring Cartmel, which is only a short walk away, and visiting Newby Bridge. Steve and Jayne are fabulous hosts, they provided us with all the information necessary before arrival, and the guide books they have thoughtfully put together in the lodge are brilliant! I would definitely recommend a stay at Watch Tree Lodge, thank you so much again!

Watch Tree Lodge is a beautiful tranquil place in amongst the tree's about a mile from the village of Caramel.

The lodge is pure luxury and well equipped for your stay and very comfortable.Once you are there you get that chilled out feeling we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a gem in a beautiful setting ,the hosts were fantastic.

This property was extremely well equipped, modern and spotless,a lot of thought has gone into this lodge and I would definitely recommend .Also for 2 couples both bedrooms were exactly the same and both had on suites which was a bonus .

Excellent property lovely hosts,Steve and Jane nothing to much trouble always on hand if you needed anything, went to the races and the taxi service they recommended was excellent surprisingly cheap glad to pay extra, it’s a place you would consider living so peaceful everything you could need, will definitely be booking again looking forward to seeing Steve and Jane again.

What a perfect, peaceful hideaway.

Most of our week was spent in the garden, which was bliss in the heatwave. Then there's the lodge, so immaculate we were convinced it was all brand new! We met Steve, who was the perfect host & nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend for either a couple or family of 4. Thank you!

Watch tree lodge is a wonderful location, quiet but close to the local village.

The lodge is of a very high standard comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything you could think of for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the little person touch of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk when we arrived. We will be back.

My partner and I stay in many lodges/holiday rentals and Watch Tree is honestly one of the best I’ve ever stayed in.

Interior and exterior fixtures and fittings are quality. The bed is one of the best I’ve slept in and the pillows and linen are beautiful. The lodge has everything you could need and includes two fridges, which when you’re staying for a week is super handy. The bathrooms are lovely and I always appreciate underfloor heating in a bathroom. If I was being very picky I’d suggest some sort of shelf/corner shelf in the showers to put your bottles ets on, but I just balanced mine on the tap fixture. Although surrounded by other lodges it’s so peaceful. So many birds to watch and listen to, and we had a visit from two deers walking past the hot tub one evening. It’s worth noting that as I said, there’s other lodges, the hot tub is not overlooked or visible to anyone else at all. The owners Steve and Jayne are lovely and went above and beyond to help me with something. Would not hesitate in recommending Watch Tree Lodge to anyone. Looking forward to hopefully visiting again one day.

A beautiful lodge, comfortable, stylish and equipped with everything you need to have a wonderful holiday.

The beds, (duvet, sheets, pillows) are obviously a very good quality and you feel pampered just snuggling under the quilt. The on-suite is beautifully designed with a walk in shower. Wardrobes are supplied with more than the average amount of hangers and are roomy. The open plan living, dining, kitchen makes it easy to prepare food whilst still being with family/friends. There is a beautiful decking area with two distinct areas to sit. (I think a mop of some kind may be a good addition to the stocked utility for those rainy days, as the water tends to pool in certain areas.) We enjoyed the quietness and being cocooned by trees and bird song, watching the squirrels play and the pheasants parade around. Cartmel itself is beautiful and Sunday Lunch at the Pig and Whistle is was the best I have ever had. The whole area is a delight. The owners should be proud of what they have created.

I was blown away by Watch Tree Lodge which was immaculately clean and furnished to a very high standard.

It had everything you could think of - lovely location with privacy around the back where the hot tub was. Steve and Jayne were fabulous hosts and made sure we wanted for nothing. The interior was gorgeous with beautiful fixtures and fittings. The kitchen and wet rooms were well stocked (loo rolls, milk, tea coffee, biscuits etc, washing up liquid, liquid soaps etc). This is the best lodge that I have ever stayed in. Our holiday was a wonderful relaxing experience and I could quite happily return again. Thank you

Cleanliness is impeccable and Steve and Jane are most attentive if called upon.

This lodge was exactly as described.

The contact from the owners Steve & Jane gave a real personal touch. It felt like nothing was too much trouble. Their clear directions helped us find the property easily & little guide of local area helped us make final decisions on where to visit during our stay. The only one thing i could say that would improve this lodge would’ve been to have 1 double bed & 2 singles. If you are considering this property- do it. You wont regret it. It was perfect in every way. Thanks so much for having us.

Had a lovely 4 night stay here with my partner and another couple.

Modern, clean and private! Would definitely consider this lodge again if we return to The Lakes in future. Our only comment would be that we couldn't find a bread knife which would have made slicing bagels/bread a bit easier, but that's literally it and being nit picky... Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wow, what a superb property!

Watch Tree Lodge was spotlessly clean and came with everything we needed. Nestled at the edge of the park, we felt very secluded and loved the option of sitting at the back or front to make the most of the sun! We decided to go on one of the walks suggested in the 'what to do' folder and the instructions were perfect, it was so nice to be able to walk straight from the house. We would love to return one day and will be recommending to family and friends.

This lodge is in an ideal location and has everything you need for a perfect stay.

The facilities were great, Jayne and Steve had thought of everything. The decor lovely and absolutely spotless. The site position was not overlooked and hot tub very private at the rear. Would highly recommend for a fabulous break.

This is the best lodge we have stayed in and the lodge site is ideal for exploring the surrounding Lake District. It was nice to relax in the spacious hot tub after a day's sightseeing.

We had such a lovely and peaceful holiday in this beautifully presented, cosy and exquisitely clean lodge.

Absolutely the relaxing experience we were hoping for, but plenty to do as well. We went on several nice walks round the area and stopped in so many lovely cafés, pubs and small local shops. We finished our trip with a day out at bowness-on-windermere which was amazing and we definitely reccomend anyone staying here to visit. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Couldn't have asked for anything more honestly. Thank you for having us!

This lodge is one of the best we have stayed in so clean, beautifully decorated, and very peaceful.

An amazing, well maintained and spacious property, with everything you could ask for in a lodge in the Lake District.

Hard to find any negatives with the property.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at watch tree Lodge and would highly recomend.

It was immaculately clean with everything we needed. The hot tub was just perfect after some long days exploring. I am usually not one for booking the same place twice as I like to try new places, but I would absolutley stay here again. Location was great as a base to explore the lake district and in walking distance of Cartmel, with a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding shop and a lovely play park which our 4 year old (and secretly i) enjoyed. I would recommend booking the local pub the pig and whistle as we struggled to get in without booking the day before.

True luxury lodge.

Lots of space. Front and back outdoor seating area so you can get more sun. Quiet site - we were there on a busy weekend and still very peaceful. Hot tub very clean. Loads of glasses plus plastic for outside use. Had everything g we needed. Lots to see round about including Cartmel with its many pubs/restaurants is a short walk away so we didn’t need to use the car all week - bonus. If you did want to travel further there are loads of interesting attractions close by so this is the ideal place to totally relax.

Perfect lodge in every way, spotless and clean, everything you need for a relaxing break

Everything about this property was fantastic.

It felt like home rather than holiday accommodation and the decor was stunning. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the beds were so comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect temperature to relax in after a long walk.

What an amazing lodge and hot tub!

The owners had thought of everything, the quality of fixtures and furnishings was excellent. Despite the weather, we had a week of pure relaxation, warmth and comfort! A welcome tray with biscuits, tea, coffee and milk was appreciated. Many thanks to Steve and Jayne for their personal touch, especially the birthday card and gift. Highly recommended!

Fabulous lodge the nicest we been to.

Clean, comfortable, modern, fabulous decor, lots of complimentary bits, even a bottle of fizz and birthday card for my mum whose 70th it was the hosts just so thoughtful and helpful and kind. The hot tub was used lots just perfect and such a peaceful private area , if you want a relaxing break then choose here. Pure luxury

We loved our stay at Watch Tree Lodge.

It’s the second time we’ve stayed and it’s such a quiet, relaxing lodge in a great location. Steve and Jayne are fabulous hosts - thank you for the very thoughtful welcome pack with lots of treats plus milk in the fridge. Hot tub is simply amazing, very private - it was great to sit out in the bubbles under stars after a long walk. Everything immaculate and really comfy. We’ve already booked our stay for next year!

Spotlessly clean throughout with everything you could ever need provided. Helpful and friendly hosts. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to everyone.

Very comfy had everything we needed Good range of glasses for the hot tub and having a washing machine and tumble dryer very useful.

Nice to have sitting out areas at both the front and back of the lodge so you can make the most of the sun

It is in a lovely peaceful location with plenty of places to visit. Steve and Jayne pop by to welcome you which is a nice touch. would not hesitate to return one day.

This lodge is fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend it to others.

It has an exceptional finish and it’s very clear how much pride the owners (Jayne and Steve) have in the property. The locations is brilliant, discreet and peaceful with easy access into the idyllic village of Cartmel. The Lodge is perfectly situated for holiday makers to explore the rest of the Lakes. The hot tub is an added bonus. One of my favourite holidays of all time.

Steve and Jayne were very welcoming on our arrival.

As soon as we entered the lovely lodge we both had the feeling of home, which we think is very important. First class facilities, all well maintained and very clean. We have booked again for later in the year, and fully intend to be back at Watch Tree Lodge in 2024 Jack & Jo

It is an absolutely lovely lodge, everything was immaculate and we'll thought out.

We especially appreciated the fact that it is surrounded by so many trees making it feel very private as you can't immediately see all the other lodges.

Absolutely stunning cottage for the perfect getaway.

The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful - both modern and cosy and is furnished to an extremely high standard. It had absolutely everything we needed from kitchen utensils to blankets to laundry facilities! The hosts were extremely helpful if we ever needed them and they were also really knowledgeable about the surrounding area which was great for us being first timers to The Lake District. The hot tub is located on the rear of the property along with some chairs - it was very private from surrounding properties. The surrounding area is also great to visit - lots of great walks, pubs, and villages to wander around. The photos don't do it justice of how lovely it truly is. We will absolutely be back - thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Delighted with our choice - accommodation was ideal - spotless, warm, modern and with everything we needed.

The hot tub was sheltered and only two steps from the bedrooms - perfect! The owners, Steve and Jayne met us on arrival with a very friendly welcome and stated they were available if needed throughout the week - thank you both. If we return to the area, which we hope we shall, Watch Tree Lodge will be our number 1 choice, as we're sure nowhere else can compare.

Four nights away for my husbands birthday what a place I chose.

From the moment we arrived at this beautiful lodge we knew we would be returning. The open plan lounge is just beautiful the bedrooms spacious and tasteful with en-suite bathrooms to die for. The hot tub what’s not to like and totally private. The site is in a lovely spot with countryside all around. Steve and Jayne are the perfect hosts they have thought of everything to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Thank you

Our second visit to Watchtree Lodge, everything was perfect, Steve and Jayne have thought of everything and pop by to introduce themselves and check if all is ok.

We are a family of four (children aged 7 & 5) and had a fabulous stay at this lodge.

It was spotlessly clean, so much so we felt like the first people to stay there. Loved the hot tub and all the extra touches that made it feel really comfortable, especially the smart tvs and underfloor heating! The location was also great, lots to do nearby. We loved the Haverthwaite steam train where you could catch a boat to the other villages such as Bowness and Ambleside. Wouldn’t hesitate to book this lodge again in the future.
