    “Firstly you get there and no reception or anyone to help?”

    ??then there is no frying pan or whisk or potato masher but the most annoying is there is no information about how to setup about WiFi. From getting there to going home not one person came to see if everything was ok??? What a shame

Nestled in the charming village of Nateby near Garstang, Lancashire, discover this charming coupling of single-storey lodges, each well-equipped with everything you need to enjoy a fuss-free, self-catered escape. With off-road parking, private outdoor spaces with hot tubs and a charming location with close proximity to the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Garstang Retreats offers the perfect base for a family or group of friends to explore all that this lovely area has to offer. Head out and uncover the nearby town of Garstang, where you will find a delightful selection of independent shops, including a cheesemonger which sells the popular Lancashire cheese, as well as pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, and the weekly local market which takes place on Thursdays. Booths, our local supermarket just 2 minutes away which Sells fine foods and local produce as well as having a lovely café. Embrace local life with a walk along the picturesque Lancaster Canal where you can even spot the local wildlife or simply just watch the world go by. A very popular walk is Nicky Nook, located in Scorton, a very pretty village well worth a visit less than a 10-minute drive from here. Nicky Nook is hilly and has quite a steep incline, once you have tackled the steep start the rest is beautiful and the view on a clear day makes it all worthwhile, especially having a lovely cafe at the foot of the hill which serves lovely food, coffee and home made cakes. Take advantage of the close proximity to the scenic Forest of Bowland, where you will find a selection of charming villages, the Bowland Wild Boar Park, and the impressive 16th-century Browsholme Hall and Tith Barn, grand home with expansive gardens ready to be explored. If you fancy some family fun The Flower Bowl entertainment centre is just a two-minute drive from here and offers a small, intimate, cinema with luxury velvet seats and small audiences, curling, bowling, crazy golf and other games such as a golf simulator. There is a fish a chip restaurant here too, a coffee bar and Blooms restaurant to enjoy. Take a trip to Lancaster, well-known for it’s remarkable 12th-century castle which houses a prison and a museum, as well as informative talks. Delve into the town’s history at the Lancaster Museum which is settled in the magnificent former 18th-century town hall or pay a visit to the archaeological site of the Roman Baths. Forty minutes’ drive from here you can walk along the coast and promenade of Upmarket Lytham where there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Cleveleys is a little seaside town on the Fylde coast with nice, long, promenade walks perfect for fresh air and fish and chips! Blackpool’s bright lights are 40 minutes from here to enjoy a great day out. Escape to Lancashire, with a stay at Garstang Retreats.

Garstang is a small town within the Wyre Borough of Lancashire, famous for declaring itself the world's first Fairtrade town. Known locally for its tasty home-grown produce, this small town offers a warm welcome and a wealth of specialist and individual shops where you can pick up a number of treats; don't miss the local cheesemongers for a wedge of fine Lancashire cheese! The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports. The nearby Millennium Green, an area situated on the western bank of the River Wyre, has actually been designated for wildlife conservation and events in the community.
