Boavista
Description
A luxury solar powered holiday cottage located on the outskirts of Carnforth, north of the historic town of Lancaster and close to the picturesque town of Kirby Lonsdale.
The cottage is only 20 minutes by car away from the wonderful Lake District, the glorious Fylde Coast and the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales.
Beautifully presented with heart-warming features and underfloor heating throughout, this retreat is wrapped in breath-taking views (BoaVista) which oversee the Lakeland Fells, with spectacular sunsets over Morecambe bay to the West and the clear blue waters of Jackdaw Quarry to the East.
Wander past the patio area into the cottage, where you can take a moment to relax in the delightful lounge on the selection of sumptuous seating.
A modern electric fire is placed to the side of the room.
A fantastic 75inch Ultra HD TV with Netflix and Freeview Play lies central to the seating area which is attached to a contemporary surround sound system that can also connect to your mobile via Bluetooth to let you stream your own music through the 6 speaker system.
Simply open up the full width Bi-fold doors to be at one with the tranquil scenery, a wonderful balcony is your perfect chance to take in the one-of-a-kind landscape and observe the variety of bird life.
The address takes its name from the Jackdaws that thrive in the habitat.
The stylish kitchen, twin room and luxury shower room with toilet complete the layout of the ground floor.
The lower ground floor is equally as sumptuous, with a modern bathroom mirroring that of a hotel quality.
The bathroom has an oversize bath, and a separate large shower with seating.
After a long day, choose from a king-size and twin room with 2 x 4ft beds for a good night's sleep.
All bedrooms include a TV and the lower ground floor bedrooms have direct access to the balcony where the hot tub resides.
The local village of Over Kellet is a popular place for enjoying afternoon tea and light refreshments and has a local pub with a beer garden which does great quality and substantial meals along with a quiz night on Wednesdays (Over Kellet is approx. 1.1 miles away from the cottage).
The nearby Heritage Centre provides an insight into Carnforth's history.
Enjoy canal side walks into Carnforth to the West and Tewitfield to the East where a local hostelry awaits you for refreshments.
The Village of Warton is within easy walking distance from Carnforth if you want to take the ruined remains of the 14th century Warton Old Rectory, once the local manor house, and the lovely St Oswald's Church.
As well as the Diving that is available right below you there are Fishing Lakes and Golf Courses available close by.
Other local attractions are the swimming pool and leisure centre at Capernwray and Greenlands Farm Village for crafts, local produce, a play area, café and a garden centre.
A holiday experience not to be forgotten.

What guests are saying
The owners of the property kept us well informed prior and after the holiday.
They were friendly and happy to answer any questions, no matter how trivial it might of seemed. A family of 5 and our dog, we were so comfortable and found plenty to do indoors, if we wanted to stay in. I would certainly return and look forward to exploring more of the surroundings. Waking to the lake view in the was breathtaking.
Boavista is in a lovely location and great accommodation with the use of an hot tub.
Overlooking the lovely quarry with swimmers & divers enjoying themselves and you can join them if you wish. It’s near the M6 so easy to get to the coast or lakes.
Boavista was an amazing place to stay.
Perfect for a family of 4 with two dogs, the view over the quarry is amazing and it's a great setting for a relaxing week. A very comfortable property with large bedrooms, all the facilities you could need and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake! We also visited the diving centre where we were made to feel very welcome, enjoyed some snorkelling followed by tea and cake. Communication with the house owners was great and we would definitely recommend this property to anyone. 5*
