.a perfect placecto chill out. The beds were so comfy and having two bathrooms was great.it was spotlessly clean and had everything you need and thank you for the extras like teabags coffee toilet rolls and lovely fluffy towels. Would highly recommend if it a chill out break you need in beautiful surroundings

Spotlessly clean and comfortable very well situated on the peaceful lakeside site .

Lots of outdoor seating to relax . Plenty of places to visit nearby and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay,the Lodge was extremely clean and well equipped.

The surroundings of the holiday village were well maintained and attractive. The grandchildren loved having a tv in their room! We would love to return in the future.

Not the best lodge we have stayed in, no welcome pack not even a pint of milk, luckily we had some with us.

Kitchen very small and dark, no light above hob, sink in shower room won't hold water, washing machine shows F6 service so not working correctly, fridge and freezer require defrosting. It's in a nice position on the site.

Beautiful lodge set in stunning surroundings.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Weather was kind to us , used decking area and also the sun traps at side and back of lodge. Had a relaxing week. Thank you

Absolutely spotlessly clean, well equipped with lovely added extras, ie, dog towels, blankets.

The lodge is excellently maintained & catered for everything we needed. Our stay was very enjoyable & relaxing as a result. Will definitely be back again, one of our favourite places to stay.

Doormouse lodge has been the best lodge we've ever stayed in & we've stayed in quite a few !

! Spotlessly clean and so well equipped and very comfortable. The bed was so comfy too. It had everything you need there were books, games, maps, tips etc… We were lucky with the weather the sun was on the front of the lodge of a morning and what a sun trap on the patio of an afternoon and till sun goes down. Great location for visiting the lakes too. Bar on site with food & drinks daily. There was a gym also swimming pool onsite which is chargeable. I would definitely recommend booking this lodge to anyone. We will definitely be returning for sure. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely lodge, very clean & comfortable.

Nice peaceful location, just what we wanted. Short distance away from Bowness, Morecambe & other attractions.

What a perfect lodge to stay in, clean and tidy, everything you would need is here.

Lovely clean van, main seating could be looked at though.

Seating felt really low to sit down on and then you sank a little more once seated; customers with knee issues( like myself) found it hard to get up.

Lovely relaxing stay, in a comfortable lodge with great on site amenities and plenty of places to enjoy in the local area.

This was our third visit to this lodge as we really like it.

Everything you need for a lovely break. The weather let us down but still enjoyed ourselves.

Loved staying in this lodge was very comfortable and dog friendly had everything we needed and more would definitely recommend for a lovely peaceful place to stay

Lodge was lovely only fault double bedroom door doesn’t close.

Not impressed with the restaurant or the swimming pool. Booked Sunday lunch then when we went…no roast left, husband went swimming and paid £25 for three and couldn’t use the steam room as it was out of use , should of been told that before having to pay .

This was our second stay at Doormouse having stayed there over Christmas and we were just as happy second time around.

The property is so clean and cosy and it just feels like home to us all. We would certainly recommend this lodge to everyone, it won’t disappoint.

We stayed in Doormouse over Christmas as we have family nearby.

The property was decorated for Christmas when we arrived and there was a Christmas card and pressie for us on arrival which was lovely. The property was just perfect for the three of us and our doggy and being able to snuggle up in front of the fire while watching Christmas films was exactly what we wanted. We had everything we needed and plenty of room for us all. The place was spotless and the Wifi signal was amazing, it never dropped out once, which when you have a 6 year old who got devices galore for Christmas is a god send. We will definitely be booking here again!

One of the best properties we have used over the years.

Spotlessly clean throughout, well equipped with everything you could need and very cosy as well as great location. Felt so at home with all the extra touches and good quality fixtures and furnishings. On site spa and pool also very good. Well done to the owner as this property is perfect. Wish we had booked another week. Came back wanting their comfy sofa & blinds in the living room and seriously thinking of buying one on our retirement

Had a lovely stay at doormouse lodge, facilities were perfect and our little girl loved the little beach at the site.

The owners were very helpful, and we did the canal walk, warton crag and morecambe bay as suggested in the guest book. The swimming pool was shut Sunday due to boiler issues at the gym but there is a pool in carnforth less then a mile away which was great.

We had a lovely 9 night stay at Doormouse Lodge during the heatwave.

We found it to be well maintained, clean, comfortable with everything you need, there were plenty of little extras too. My daughters enjoyed playing the board games on the table outside on the warm evenings. The lodge is situated not too far from the complex and the Waters Edge Bar & Restaurant. There is a lovely outside seating area overlooking the lake and a small beach. We used the swimming pool/steam room twice. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful and the facilities were clean. There is no shop on site but Aldi and Booths are only a 5 minute drive away, there is also a Tesco nearby. The Red Luck Chinese takeaway, Sizzle-In and North Road Chippy in Carnforth were all good if you don't want to eat out or you don't want to cook and only 5 minute's away. The Smithy Inn do amazing, reasonably priced pub meals. The George Washington and Shovel Inn are also good with friendly service. All are very dog friendly. We visited Morcambe, Lancaster, Warton Crag, The Old Rectory, Leighton Moss Nature Reserve. All worth a visit. We also enjoyed a nice walk along the canal. The lodge is advertised with a barbecue but there wasn't one there, so we were a little disappointed. There is an iron and ironing board there, which was a nice surprise as they were not listed on the advertisement. We enjoyed our stay at Doormouse Lodge and would definitely return in the future. Everything spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The only thing was the sofa was a bit tired and the blind on door wasn’t working but loved it. Have booked again for next year.

Loved our stay at doormouse lodge.

Beautiful furnishings, comfy beds and just a lovely place. Weather was very hot so take an additional fan as the lodge can get very warm but we were in a heatwave. Lovely outside veranda secured with a gate which was great for our cocker spaniel who also absolutely loved his hols. Having access to my Netflix accounts via smart tv was an added bonus too. Maybe a slight improvement would be on Wi-Fi and parasol could be replaced as looking a bit tired with tears. Lovely site, excellent facilities with nice and friendly neighbours and people on site in general. Site is large and Has a lovely walk for the dog around the gorgeous lake and lodges , ideal on the evening to cool off. Only 5 mins drive to Carnforth which has an Aldi, Booths and Tesco for your self catering needs. Also plenty of takeaways such as “sizzle in”for amazing kebabs. 20 mins to Morecambe for a lovely walk along the promenade and great views of the unique coastline with mountain views and only 35 mins drive to the beautiful bowness on Windermere and Ambleside.. I have stayed in many caravans and sites over last 6 years and this was one of my favourite all round holidays. Thank you for such a lovely stay we would definitely return

We had a lovely stay in Doormouse Lodge, well equipped, comfy, well positioned on the site.

The owner was very helpful and great with communication. The only negative point was there was no play area for the children or open space for ball games or general run around. Weather was great so ventured out to many of the beautiful places the Lakes have to offer.

Fabulous stay, loved location and surrounding area, done as little or as much as we wanted.

1 slight niggle is the wifi was atrocious and it should not be listed as a feature as we initially connected on 1st day but dropped out few hours later. Had to purchase additional data from our supplier for kids to hotspot us. However it did not detract from our holiday and we would certainly come back again

Owner was very welcoming, we bumped into the owner as arrived on the park a little earlier than check in time.

Accommodation was absolutely fantastic and great for our lab Oscar. The little touches in the Accommodation made it more homely. This Accommodation looked one of the best ones on the park, it is very well looked after. We spent most days out apart from the days that it rained. We will definitely be back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay.

We had a great time!

The lodge was just as described, comfortable, clean & tidy with everything we needed. Loved watching the wildlife on the site, rabbits, ducks & I’m sure we saw an oyster catcher! The lodge isn’t far from the restaurant & bar. We hope to be back soon.

The lodge was beautiful, well maintained and very clean and comfortable.

however, we were disappointed with the facilities, it would have been nice to have a small shop onsite (I don't drive), and the restaurant and bar closed at 7pm on the Sunday, and were closed all day (except for breakfast) on the Monday and Tuesday. Having said that, we would definitely visit again (or book another area on your site). Marian

Lovely property, very tastfully decorated with lots of personal touches to make it feel very homely.

Much cleaner than other properties that we have stayed in. The location is brilliant for visiting the Lake District with most popular destinations within 1 hours drive. I will definatly be returning for another break. The site itself is very clean and tidy.

Dormouse lodge is like a home from home, very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

There is a lovely en-suite bathroom with a shower and also a bigger bathroom with a bath. Everything you need is thought of and I would definitely recommend staying there. It is also set in a very nice leisure park by a lovely peaceful lake.

We found the property very clean, well equipped and in a great location for exploring the surrounding area, the lakes, Dale's and Lancashire.

Great facilities in the park also. We met the owner upon arrival who was very welcoming. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

The lodge had great facilities. Felt very spacious and had some lovely home comforts. Nicely decorated throughout. Definately a property we would like to return too.

Pity weather wasn’t better to make use of outdoor seating but it is December ! Would love to return in better weather. Lodge had everything you could ask for, even a Christmas tree and decorations inside and out which made us feel very welcome. So clean and well kept. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect in the lodge

Fab little lodge, everything we needed, lovely and clean.

The park has a nice bar area you can go in with dogs for food and drink when the weather isnt great and lovely seating area outside by the lake on good days which we were lucky to have. No shop on the park but there is an aldi a d tesco 1-2 miles up the road. You will definitely enjoy the lodge as its impossible not to, thank you Doormouse.

When we arrived what should have been the green in front had JCB and workers there were they laid bases for new lodges to go on.

It was noisy and dusty over 3 days. The en-suite smelt musty and damp so I went and bought a bathroom air freshner to take away the smell. The decking on the front near the french doors is rotting and the kitchen units were lifting, there was a patch of water damage on the ceiling in the lounge near the kitchen. The property just needs some updating and thought it was too costly for what to expect. Over all we did have a great weeks holiday and the weather was glorious which helped but also a fan would have been helpful as it was far too hot inside. The restaurant and bar was brilliant and they could not do enough for you and were very helpful.

There was workmen outside at 8.

30am on diggers building new lodges so the noise wasnt great if wanted to relax on the decking. Also a strange noise in the main bedroom coming from above the wardrobe sounded like something was nesting in the ceiling so couldnt sleep in that room

It was impeccably clean when we arrived, very comfortable sofa and beds. Everything you need for a self catering stay was provided and a few nice little extras too. Spacious living area and double bedroom. The whole site was very clean and friendly. The bar was offering a click and collect service for food which was very tasty!

Very impressed by Doormouse Cottage. It was so clean and in such nice condition we initially thought it was new. Even with the very poor weather we still had an excellent walking holiday visiting the area and going down to Morcombe and around the Lakes. Coming back to such nice accomodation was just a bonus. Site facilities were very limited (due to C19) so we didn't get to try the bar and food and leisure facilities...... but that was due to the Covid restrictions. We would happily have another holiday at the site. Thanks.

The lodge was beautiful there is very little on the site the nearest shop is 2 miles away.

The site only has a reception and a small restaurant. There is a fitness centre that we were unable to use. I understand why it is the lake district as it never stopped raining.

Just the break me and my two daughters wanted,would stay again next summer.

Due to current Covid and cleanliness I was slightly disappointed with the cleanliness in the fridge.

The shelves in the fridge had food crumbs on them and a jar of fish sauce has been left in the fridge but it had spilled on to the shelf. Makes me wonder if the fridge had been checked at all. Otherwise a beautiful lodge and great location.
