Fabulous holiday lodge.

Spacious rooms, modern, very nicely furnished. Beds really comfortable. Everything there you would need. Brilliant decking area made special watching the swans.

We all love our stay, and if we’re ever back in the area would only ever come and stay at Mereside.

Inside the lodge it was very spacious and well equipped with everything that you would need for your stay. The little touches of leaving cleaning products and the like was very much appreciated. As we didn’t have a good weather during last day, we didn’t get to sit out on the balcony a lot but due to how open the balcony end of the lodge was we were able to enjoy the view from the comfort of the lounge area. Location wise this was also brilliant being only a short hop down to local facilities and also easy to get up to the motorway for quick access to many areas that we wanted to visit.

The lodge was really lovely, clean and spacious with all the facilities we needed.

With stunning views over the lake, it was so peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend and hope to return. Thank you.

Mereside was a lovely, clean, spacious holiday home with all the facilities needed for 6 people.

It had fantastic views over the lake and was in a quiet relaxing location. We enjoyed visiting local villages and pubs which were only a very short drive away. However it is also an ideal location if you wanted to drive to Morecambe, Lancaster or the Lake District. There are also good leisure facilities available on site and a restaurant. Thank you for making our short stay fabulous. We look forward to our next stay in this wonderful place.

Modern, comfortable and spacious accommodation, situated on one of the prime spots on the site.

The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay and the washing machine and dishwasher are a welcome convenience. The two double bedrooms have walk-in closets which provide a convenient space to store suitcases etc. We enjoyed two weeks of peace and quiet overlooking the lake and made friends with the mallards and the swans who came past while we were sitting on the balcony and the pontoon. There were also oystercatchers, grebes, tufted ducks, cormorants and even a baby bunny. We would have no hesitation of booking here again if the opportunity arises.

Very comfortable home from home. Would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life and relax overlooking the lake. Only point I would recommend we were really looking to using the pool facilities but were startled by the high price per day that put us off

We enjoyed a lovely week in this beautiful lodge so spacious with relaxing views across the lake and all amenities you could ask for a comfortable stay.

The children enjoyed feeding the ducks on our own private jetty. Good communication with the owners providing code for keys and lots of instructions a few days before. Ideal spot for visiting the coastal town of Morecambe and the Lake District. Blackpool is a 45 min drive away. We really enjoyed our stay and were very fortunate with the weather mainly only raining in the evenings. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge.

We were very impressed with the size of the lodge.

We liked having 2 bathrooms and 2 walk-in wardrobes as we had our 19 year old daughter with us. Also the setting on the lake was perfect . Also you could be anywhere within 20/30 minutes drive, I.e the Lakes , Lancashire etc

Second time visiting.

Loved waking up on the lake having a coffee. The rain doesn't even put me off. 1 gripe is the mattress is a little lumpy. Could do with better ones but I used my mattress topper which helped.

Just returned from our 3rd visit this year, so speaks for itself as far as a relaxing experience in an excellent comfortable lodge, great place to watch the wildlife on the lake.

Lodge well equipped with everything you need to make your stay a pleasurable one regardless of weather. Can highly recommend.

Lovely lodge, everything you need.

This was our second time staying her. WiFi's not the best, but was good to see my teenage daughter not glued to her phone for once.

Lovely spacious, comfortable and well equipped lodge.

Great decking space although the weather wasn't nice enough to be out for much of our stay. My husband enjoyed fishing off the jetty, so convenient. Only gripe was the WiFi couldn't cope with Disney Plus and some programmes just wouldn't play. Swimming was expensive and we were disappointed that classes were not included in the daily or weekly rate.

Been here twice so comfortable, all in all a great lodge.

The property was spacious clean and extremely comfortable.

The location, looking directly onto the lake, was beautiful. Everything was provided that you would need and instructions for keys etc were very precise. We had a great holiday here. The location is terrific for sight seeing and we would highly recommend staying here.

lovely stay at mereside,we have stayed at this site previously in a different lodge and mereside was far superior.

spacious, clean and lovely location next to the lake. The drawbacks are the pool and facilities are quite expensive, we wanted to take our toddler for a quick swim and the only choice is a day pass at £25 for two adults.

An excellent property in a lovely location, we will be back for sure.

Wonderful stay in a fabulous lakeside cabin.

Despite raining most of the week, we still managed to eat lunch on the terrace and enjoy the gorgeous views, sunsets and swans. Practicing yoga on the deck was a highlight. The interior of the cabin felt luxurious, spacious and comfy. Great experience!

The lakeside setting was lovely and so relaxing. Ideal location for going out and about. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Wow!

Fantastic location. All you could ask for in a log cabin and more. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, easy to find from motorway, excellent instructions and the added bonus of being welcomed by the local wildlife. Would definitely recommend and hoping for a return visit next year.

It’s much closer to the motorway than we thought, meaning you can hear the noise when the windows or doors are open.

We've been visiting South Lakeland leisure village for about 7 years.

Mereside was so clean. The only thing we did miss were pasta dishes and a wok. The sun shone all the time we were there which was lovely, sitting outside reading and looking to the lake watching the ducks and swans. A lovely stay.

Lodge was lovely clean and tasteful.

Everything was perfect, very well informed throughout and the lodge was 5*!

We had a superb stay, they had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Such beautiful views too.

Great setting and views over the lake.

With current pandemic we took lots of our own cooking utensils, bedding, cushions etc which helped to make the holiday easier/more comfy - obviously this was needed due to the property having to minimise items provided. Shops easily reached within 10 minutes and they were all up to date with current restrictions which made getting supplies easy. Our Son and Daughter in law pre-booked and used the swimming pool on-site - three day pass for £20 was great value and they had the pool to themselves or shared with very few others which they found reassuring. Overall we (the family) had a fabulous relaxing week away which provided a refreshing view, with fresh air - with the bonus of beautiful sunshine - away from home but with the same care and safety as we have at home. Would recommend to any family who wished to simply relax and chill out.

A wonderfully clean & very well-appointed home from home.

The views over the lake are beautiful. Communication with the owners was faultless. Pub/Restaurant, Pool & Spa on-site! I would highly recommend it.

Mereside was everything we hoped it would be.

It was our first time staying at a lodge and it's spacious, lovely modern decor and fantastic position right on the lake were perfect for a relaxing holiday. It was spotlessly clean and also complete with all appliances needed for a comfortable stay. We had excellent communication from the owners and they also provided a meet and greet service which was extremely helpful. We did not use the pool, gym or spa but made us of the outside restaurant area and takeaway. Food was delicious so would definitely recommend. I would not hesitate to book this lodge again if we were holidaying in the area again. Thank you Pat and Rodger for having us at your lovely lodge.
