Lodge 1

We have just returned from our third stay in Lodge 1.

As always, the lodge was immaculate. The beautiful summer sunshine allowed us to use the patio area and BBQ regularly. The Silverdale village is only a small walk/quick drive away, where we picked up fresh items from the local butchers/co-op. There is also a LIDL/Tesco for a larger shop just a 15 min drive away. Overall another fantastic stay and would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We've just returned home after spending a fabulous 5 night stay at this gem of a lodge.

Perfect spot if you want to go walking/hiking or like us just to relax. The lodge was well presented clean and odour free. The owners left a welcome pack with useful tips on the surrounding area. They also provided a small selection of tea/coffee biscuits and haribos. Dog friendly which is always a bonus for us. Small laundry with a washer and dryer. Also an ironing board and hoover if required. There was also a hairdryer in the lodge (wasted on my lack of hair lol). Great free internet connection which also helped with WiFi calling as phone signal very poor. Highly recommend this property, the owners extremely polite and friendly and it's on our list to definitely return.

Great location wonderful setting could just do with a softer mattress but all in all would come again

Had a great 4 nights staying in Lodge 1.

It was spotlessly clean, very comfy double bed, 2 super powerful showers, very roomy fridge. Loved the location - short walk into Silverdale or to the train station. Lots of walks in the immediate area. Liked it so much - have booked to stay for a week in August.

Comfortable and clean.

Well stocked and warm. Everything you need is provided. I love trains so enjoyed them going by just behind the lodge, this may not suit everyone at 5am when on holiday and note that the four lodges are situated in a working setting, so having a lay-in is nearly impossible. Great location for seclusion and being dog-friendly is a win. Great WI-FI which you need in the zero phone signal area and for the TV. The only upgrade I'd suggest is to improve the quality of the pots and pans offered as they are not good quality at all for those who put the kitchen to good use. Arrive prepared with all your foods and drinks as there is zero shop within walking distance that we found but good planning meant we lacked nothing. Highly recommend.

1 was beautifully situated, very well equipped and immaculately clean. We have booked another week in October - says it all really!

Lodge 1 was perfect.

It was lovely and warm and cosy. Everything was supplied and the Christmas touches and welcome pack were lovely. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were available if needed. Would definitely return. We loved the sound of the trains passing by and watching the horses being brought in and out of their stables. A lovely part of Silverdale.

Absolutely loved staying here, the lodge had everything you needed in lovely quiet surroundings.

We both felt the double mattress needs replacing other than that we loved it

Had such a lovely relaxing time it’s was so nice seeing the horses everyday.

The lodge was so very clean loved the little personal touches was something that you do not get in other places.

Had a lovely stay stay at Lodge One, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Set in beautiful countryside with walks from the doorstep. Nature lovers will be spoilt with deer in Eaves Wood and the wonderful RSPB Leighton Moss for bird watching only a mile away. Lovely Silverdale has all the amenities required pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops. Will mention the train line but soon get used to it and kind of miss it when you leave! Throughly recommended. Just returned from the most fabulous stay, 2 adults, 2 small children and our dog.

The lodge has everything you need for a week’s stay. All towels, tea towel, washing up bits provided too, which is a huge bonus, and complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and even some Haribo on arrival - the children were very pleased! The lodge was clean, well equipped and a real home from home for us for the week. We got lucky with the weather and it was a very hot week, but with the windows open, we were still comfortable and the fan provided was a big help (the owners came round to check we were ok and that we had a fan too, which was really lovely!) We got to enjoy the outdoor seating and BBQ, which is another huge bonus. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by the most incredible views and stunning walks right on your doorstep. Loads to do in the local area or slightly further afield. We visited Warton Crag, Happy Mount Park, Arnside, Eaves Wood and the Pepper Pot monument, we got the train to Grange over Sands and Half Moon Bay in Heysham for a beach day. (All child/dog friendly!) Silverdale village less than 5 minute drive, with everything you could need too. The railway line backs onto the site and so there are trains passing, but we just got used to it, and it was a novelty to the children watching them pass by. Also, just to note that they don’t go late at night, so it didn’t affect our sleep. There is a shared laundry room with washer and dryer and you can borrow a vacuum cleaner too, which came in handy! All in all, we have had a wonderful week, this was our favourite staycation to date and we would highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful part of the country.

Totally unspoilt. The lodge was spotlessly clean, comfortable and in a lovely position. If you’re looking for somewhere to unwind, this is the place. The owner was lovely and non-intrusive. Small supply of cleaning bits provided to cover our stay and some lovely biscuits as well as tea, coffee and sugar. Have to mention the train track at the back of the farm but tbh after the first couple we didn’t really noticed them. We had an amazing time on Waterslack Farm. No complaints. Beautiful areas to visit. Definitely recommend. We’ll be back. Thank you.

My husband and I, along with our little Cockapoo, had a wonderful week in beautiful Cumbria.

This lovely caravan on a farm met all our needs for the week and we appreciated the little bonuses like tea, coffee and biscuit welcome pack, dish cloth and towels (which you don't usually get in caravans). As you can imagine in Cumbria phone signals are poor but we had super fast WIFI in the caravan which was also great. We certainly would visit again

Lovely clean and very quite

I would absolutely recommend this holiday property to everyone I know.

The property itself was stunning and the hosts were great. This is perfect for a peaceful country village getaway. We will definitely be booking this again later this year and I honestly cannot wait! Thank you providing with a lovely place to stay.

The lodge was fantastic and had everything we needed.

We visited the area for the first time and will definitely be back. Excellent setting and location and fantastic hosts. Would definitely recommend!
