Lodge 4

Myself (a new widow) along with my 2 young adult granddaughters needed a short break!

We chose this Lodge (based on reviews) and is absolutely beautiful - immaculate, spacious with all we needed! The site is really quiet & we enjoyed the sound of the trains passing by (no problem at all!) We had all the necessary kitchen items to make our meals - tho my girls found the oven wasn’t working too well? (But we managed!) My double bed was really comfortable & my en-suite shower worked well! However the girls single bed mattresses weren’t quite so good? The settees in the lounge were very comfortable indeed! The girls found the tv easy to navigate (tho unsure about my technology to do so?) WiFi worked well - thank you! So all told, we really enjoyed our holiday with amazing accommodation in beautiful surroundings! (And good weather!) So we would all be happy to return here in lovely accommodation when possible!

We had a great week in Lodge 4 at Waterslack Farm.

Great location for walking from the doorstep and we were lucky to be blessed with fantastic weather. Some reviews have mentioned the trains running behind the lodges. Do not be put off by this it really is not a problem. We will stay again in the future and would recommend to others looking to stay in a beautiful area.

We absolutely loved staying at the Lodge.

It was our first time here and there was nothing to dislike. It was very spacious and situated in a perfect location . Wonderful walks were on our doorstep. Detailed instructions on how to use cooker and heating etc. was really useful. Having 2 bathrooms was great. We enjoyed it so much I have just booked it again for August!

Just returned from a wonderful week here and one of the best holidays we have ever had.

The Lodge was so cosy and comfortable and well equipped . We hardly used the car because there were superb walks right from the door into the most magical woodlands . We loved all the nature reserves in the area too and spent many hours in the hides at RSPB Leighton Moss which is close by . We enjoyed watching the horses and wildlife from the lodge too especially the deer that came to visit. The trains didn’t cause any disturbance and we enjoyed them passing. If you need a peaceful holiday to forget the rat race , relax and unwind with nature this is the perfect place to do that. We will definitely return.

The lodge was exceptional ,the owner was very helpful ,nothing was too much trouble If looking for peace and tranquility this is the one,beds were very comfortable ,enjoyed all surrounding areas ,we hope to return again.

Owner Sam was very friendly and helpful and many thanks for the welcome pack. The surrounding area is lovely with a good choice of places to visit and there are many walks straight from the property. We would definitely like to return in future.

The location was ideal for what we wanted.

We have been to a few lodges over the years and this by far has been the best value for money. The lodge was immaculate and the double bed was extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. There was lovely places to visit for long or short walks and the beach was not too far, which was beautiful. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in lodge 4 the lodge is beautiful and really homely my boys loved staying on the farm!

It’s really peaceful, I was a bit worried after seeing a previous review about the trains being loud at night but we honestly hardly noticed them and it didn’t disturb us at all. We’d definitely come back again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you :-)

This is a lovely place to stay.

Lodge 4 is very private surrounded by lovely trees in a lovely area. The lodge is very well equipped and comfortable. Nice to be able to see deer some mornings and the horses during the day.

Lodge 4 as other visitors have said clean and tidy however the silverdale railway track is adjacent to the lodges and the trains sound the alarm as it approaches unmanned crossing - this occurs every 30 minutes up until nearly midnight and starts again at 0530 in the morning please be aware **

Lodge is great and highly recommended.

Clean and extremely well equipped. Hosts Sam and Jon are friendly and welcoming. We had a relaxing few days break here. Loved it thank you.

Perfectly prepared and presented our accommodation suited us down to the ground.

The owners are embarking on this new venture and being hard working farmers they have started off extremely well. A close and lovely family they couldn’t have done any more for us. We wish them well and hope to return soon. Dave and Sylvia.
