32 Grasmere is a single-storey lodge offering a peaceful base for families or couples looking to explore the Lake District National Park. Set within the quiet surroundings of Troutbeck Bridge in Cumbria, it provides a restful retreat in a scenic location.
The open-plan living area is arranged for easy, laid-back living, combining a well-equipped kitchen, dining space and sitting area. The kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster – giving you everything needed for straightforward self-catering. After a day out, relax beside the electric fire or enjoy a film on the Smart TV.
There are two comfortable bedrooms: a double room with Smart TV and en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, and a twin room. Both are served by a bright bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. Gas central heating ensures the lodge remains warm throughout the year.
Step outside onto the enclosed decking to enjoy the fresh Lakeland air, whether with a morning coffee or a quiet moment among the trees. Off-road parking is available for two vehicles. For a peaceful stay, pets and smoking are not permitted.
Local amenities are close by, including a welcoming pub and a convenient shop. The nearby towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Kendal offer lakeside charm, scenic walking routes, independent shops and traditional places to eat. From boat trips on Lake Windermere to hill walks with panoramic views, the area caters to a wide range of interests.

Lovely modern accommodation, really cosy lounge area and clean kitchen and bathrooms.
Unfortunately, carpet in bedroom was wet on arrival which gave the whole place a damp smell. We did report this to the contact number provided. We didnt use the main bathroom as it looked to be possibly a leak from there. It would also be great to have a baking tray/tin to use for the oven.
Nice cosy comfortable lodge and was a nice treat with the a few basic breakfast bits in fridge which came in useful and also a bottle of bubbly.
But needs a few maintenance tweaks when we arrived the lodge was really cold it was actually warmer outside so we put heating on to warm it up but the radiator in the en-suite would not work, the kitchen scissors only have 1 handle luckily I had my nail scissors so was able to use them to open a packet of food, the outdoor seat cushions need a good wash as had a lot of green moss on them so not suitable to sit on, and lastly the shower in the main bathroom needs a new seal as when turned on water sprayed out everywhere from the bottom of the fitting connected to the taps, my husband tried to tighten it up but still no joy he said probably needs seal replacing. If it wasn’t for these few bits I would have given an extra star.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.
Please note that the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at this lodge.
The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay
All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
