Great location, very clean and comfortable.

Hot tub in excellent condition and more than big enough.

, absolutely lovely, we were greeted and shown round by Ste the owner where we found that all your needs were supplied Tea Coffee Sugar Milk and yes even a bottle of wine and much more. The lodge itself was very comfortable and clean and the surroundings are so peaceful and tranquil ideal for anyone wanting a holiday near to Windermere. Thank you Ste and Carole for a lovely stay. Lovely lodge plenty of space for 4 adults Mice and private spotlessly clean, plenty of cooking utensils.

We had 2 cats that visited us regularly which is fine we are all animal lovers. Hot tub/ jacuzzi was lovely especially at night time.Had a couple of BBQs . About 10mins drive to Aldi & M&S.

This was our third stay in the lodges and it is a wonderful place to relax.

Listening to the birds and sheep is lovely. This year, our trip was enhanced by daily visits from Molly the cat. She must've liked us, as she brought two dead mice! The lodge is always very clean and well appointed. Will be back.

the most gorgeous lodge ever.

absolutely spotless inside the lodge and the kitchen amenities are great as it had everything we needed. right outside we had the view and cute sounds of a field full of ewe (assuming so! as the location is Ewe Dale Farm), visited daily by two very friendly cats and occasionally a dog who seemed to just inspect us rather than want any fuss which was funny. there are multiple lodgings on the site however oak lodge seemed to be the most private as we couldn’t hear anything apart from the animals the entire weekend. the location is very ideal as we felt isolated enough in the middle of farmlands at the lodge, yet we were still able to drive to Bowness on Windmere, Ambleside and Ulverston. the only thing to note is we thought we would be able to go for walks around the water from the photos however the access was locked and every entry seemed to have trespassing signs (which is fair enough!) the only other open land is on the entry to the site but there were always farm animals there and we didn’t want to walk through them - although i’m not sure if we just couldn’t find a proper entry for a walk! we stayed for a girls weekend away and we would definitely come back, thank you for a lovely stay :)

Lovely cabin.

Everything was spotless and we were greeted by the host's personal feline assistant who never left our sides and always made sure we knew where the fridge was located, just incase there were some tasty treats inside that were going spare. The location was quite isolated and quiet but was within short journeys to most places we wanted to visit. Definitely recommend.

Lovely lodge set in a peaceful location.

Very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean throughout. Pretty well equipped however could do with some BBQ tools. Loved the wildlife including the 2 cats who visited us every day with a fresh mouse (much better than live ones running around). Loved the hot tub (could consider providing extra towels for this). Overall a beautiful relaxing stay. Thank you.

Beautiful lodge in an equally beautiful location.

A perfect spot to relax with family. The lodge was lovely and clean, and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. My only concern is that the lodge is listed as ‘no pets’, which is something I specifically look out for due to allergies. There are cats belonging to the property that have previously been allowed inside, as noted in the guest book. Although the lodge was visibly clean and smelt lovely, this did cause allergy symptoms and would unfortunately prevent me from booking again. It would be helpful if the listing noted that cats are regular indoor visitors, or alternatively if guidance were provided asking guests not to allow the cats inside, to better support guests with allergies.

We had a fabulous, relaxing 3 night stay at Oak lodge.

The accommodation was immaculate and had everything that we needed for our stay. The location was ideal for exploring the southern Lake District and the position of the accommodation itself was private and quiet. We would highly recommend Oak Lodge and would look to book again in the future.

We chose Oak Lodge because it was very well and we wanted a very quiet week.

It did not disappoint us. The cabin was lovely clean tidy very large and for two of us . beds were lovely and comfortable it was February and the place was beautifully warm with the heating that it has. We couldn’t have asked for a lovely spot to have a quiet week in the winter. Thank you to the owners.

Overall the property was stunning and we had such a relaxing weekend.

The only minor negative point was that there were cats constantly on the property which would go inside the lodge if the door/window was left open. For somebody who’s allergic to cats that was very off-putting. On the second night, there was also a random dog that ran onto the property and jumped into the hot tub. I would use lake lovers again, but would not stay in that particular lodge again

Beautiful lodge in a brilliant location, 10 minutes to town 25 minutes to attractions such as aquarium, water sports, lake cruise. The lodge itself was so clean beds comfortable and the hot tub was fantastic. We will definitely be back x

Excellent lodge.

The place was spotless in a beautiful location. The hot tub was amazing with amazing views. Our family of 4 had lovely relaxing break. Oak lodge was the perfect base to explore the lakes and will be visiting again.

Oak Lodge is lovely accommodation in a beautiful rural setting.

Plenty of space, with a comfortable bed, and good shower. Lovely to have an outdoor verandah and hot tub. I would recommend this lodge, and happily stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic stay away at oak lodge.

Was so clean and fantastic views from the hot tub out back! Kitchen and the living room were so modern but still very cozy and relaxing. Great time away and would definitely come back again.

It's me and my husbands go to!

We've been 3 or 4 times now. I never want to go home! So relaxing. And nice visit from the cat or dog!

It was a lovely place to relax and recouperate.

Loved the cabin, felt very homely, the hot tub was amazing and loved having the resident cats coming to visit us too.

Very clean and beautiful views.

A guy on the sunday, im guessing was the owner but didnt identify himself walked on the patio area. Stating if the hot tub wasnt in use can we put the lid on as its been off around 25 mins and wasting electrity. Tried to explain to the guy we was going back in but he didnt want tp listen. The guy was rude and swearing at my partner on the patio area. My young daughter was within ear shot. If the guy hadnt of been so rude and was more polite in his manners i think it would of been a better approach to the situation. The lodge was well equip and information folder was good for local knowledge too.

We had a great time , the lodge was spotless, and in a beautiful setting , everything we needed was there and the addition of a welcome bottle of wine was a nice

This is the second time we have stayed at Oak Lodge, and it was as exactly as we remembered it - perfect.

The Lodge is in a beautiful and peaceful location and is spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils etc and the beds are very comfy. The hot tub is lovely, especially after a day of walking or exploring, we didn't even let a little rain shower deter us! The hot tub is cleaned between each guest too. There is a good range of dvds and some games provided, great if the weather isn't on your side or for a chilled day. There is a nice seating area outside with countryside views. The only suggestion would be for a little outside heater, although we did bring blankets for sitting outside. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolate was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be back next year.

The most beautiful cabin I have ever seen let alone stay in.

Absolutely stunning surroundings, we didn't have the best weather but it truly didn't matter. If your goal is to relax then I highly recommend Oak Lodge. The hot tub is perfect and easy to use, and the welcome bottle of prosecco and chocolate was a lovely surprise. We even made a little friend in a beautiful tabby cat who came and hung out the first morning. Honestly nothing I can say will do it justice. We simply can't wait to come back

This was a fabulous lodge to stay at.

Very clean, great furniture and amazing hot tub. Carole was quick to respond to any questions we had. They provided us with books, games and DVDs under the TV cabinet. Amazing scenery, with lakes, greenery and animals around the area. Would definitely come back here. If you're check-in during the winter then do try to get there whilst you have daylight as the road (narrow, hilly and 2 miles long) to the lodge is pitch black with no lights and can easily miss the sign to the path that leads to the lodges.

The cottage was beautiful and had all the amenities we required.

It was clean and presented well. The hot tub was excellent - I would recommend 100%

It was a fabulous, secluded property Nothing overlooked it So private. You look out onto fields full of farm life, such a lovely view whilst drinking your morning cuppa. The house had everything you needed, was super clean and very comfortable. Having two bathrooms was handy with two 14 year old girls. The hot tub was an added bonus and rounded off our busy days out and about. Everything we did was only a short drive away from the property, and kept the girls entertained, things such as Go Ape, paddle boarding and short walking in the countryside. Thanks for a fab stay , would definitely come again and highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our short stay here, so much so we’re already planning on a return trip in 2023 Everything you could need to make it feel like your own home.

It is so clean you’d think you were the first people to stay there Lovely touches with Christmas decorations and absolutely no light pollution at night, sit and see the stars in the night sky. The only and it is the only drawback was the 10am checkout, an extra hour or two would be perfect so your last night isn’t spent packing for the morning after :)

Wow what a wonderful stay this is our second time that we have stayed it’s so relaxing and amazing views love every minute and we will happy to come the 3rd time.

This is the second time we have stayed here and the forth on the farm.

The location is stunning, very clean and well equipped. The hot tub was fantastic after a long day walking. Perfect location is you like walking as so much to do.

We had a amazing holiday the lodge was lovely so clean, tidy and welcoming, the hot tub was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time in there taking in the stunning views, we were very lucky with the weather and had some fantastic days out I would definitely recommend to stay here so peaceful and relaxing we hope to come back some day.

Great lodge , location was fantastic to get away from everything with great views from the balcony of the lodge, very comfortable and clean contained everything you need , definitely will be returning.

The hot tub was an advantage as well.

From start to finish the stay exceeded expectations.

Everything has been well thought out and executed.The place was amazingly clean.It was the nicest place to come back to after days out.We Will hopefully be returning in the future.

The only downside from a fantastic break at a lovely lodge was that the BBQ was not available due to maintenance and we could not use the hot tub on the first night as it was not up to temperature

Overall we were very happy with the experience and property.

However, on the first day the hot tub was cold. We called the site manager who advised that the hot tub had been emptied and refilled due to the previous guests. We would have preferred to have been informed of this on arrival as opposed to having to contact the site manager to find out the problem. We therefore were unable to use the hot tub on the first night.

Fantastic property, very nice and cozy.

Hot tub is lovely and has amazing views of the sunset. Everything just spotless and has all the facilities needed if you do not want to leave the lodge.

views are amazing, especially when sat in the hot tub! Overlooking fields and a waterfall into a stream. Lodge is well equipped and comfortable. The lodge is set slightly away from the others so very private. Shops close by. Would recommend for a relaxing break!

We had a fantastic time.

What a beautiful, well positioned cabin. All the rooms were comfortable and contained everything we needed. The hot tub was superb and the little touches, Christmas decorations and a bottle of wine made it that extra bit special. We will definitely be going back!

The log cabin was well equipped yet we were extremely disappointed to find just one toilet roll left in the toilets upon arrival, perhaps we assumed wrong but we would have expected more and therefore we had to go out to get additional, which took 1+hr due to the storm and the only roads to Ulverston closed.

Would suggest for future stays that enough toilet roll is provided for guests as it's the last thing you want to have to worry about. There was a power cut on the morning of check out, Noel who takes care of the cabins didn't respond to our call for 45 minutes, by the time he arrived and let us know there wasn't anything we could do, it was close to the check out time so we were very disappointed to lose the Sunday at the cabin of course this isn't anybodies fault specifically but it definitely dampened our experience.

After 3 years of not going to holiday due to pandemic,me and my family had very nice time.

the location was fab and the view was amazing it was so relaxing ,so clean,hot tub was big yes for our kids.we are going back definitely.

It was just as clean and new feeling as it had been 2 years ago. The hot tub had been updated and was amazing and very welcomed. The cleanliness of the lodge was outstanding. We had a fantastic week's stay. Plenty to do in and around the area. We would definitely love to stay again.

We have a fantastic time at Oak Lodge.

It was so peaceful, relaxing, spacious and a very comfortable lodge. All appliances were of the very highest standard. There where other lodges nearby, but each one was secluded by trees so it was very private. The hot tub was an added bonus. The nearby town of Ulverston, was a lovely place. Lovely tea rooms, pubs, and shops etc. Don't forget the Laurel and Hardy museum, a must if your a fan, and also the walk by the canal was lovely. Alot of beautiful places not too far away, Kendal was a wonderful place, so was Hawkshead and Coniston. We couldn't do as much as we wanted to do, due to the rain but we still had a great time. The scenery is stunning.

We had an absolutely fantastic week at Oak Lodge in mid September.

The lodge had everything we needed and was in a fantastic location, far enough out to be nice and secluded and relaxing when in the hot tub, but close enough to the local areas and a fantastic base for travelling further afield. The hot tub was a welcome addition, especially with all the walking we were doing. The hosts really went above and beyond with the information provided and were easily contactable with quick replies if needed. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be booking again!

The log cabin was OUTSTANDING!

Fixtures and fittings off the highest quality, amazingly comfortable beds, kitchen facilities perfect, excellent hot tub, spotlessly clean throughout, easy check in/out process - there is not one thing I could suggest to improve :) Had a fantastic week here!!!

The perfect setting, a wonderful hot tub, a welcome bottle of wine and list of places to eat, extremely clean! Equipped with everything you could need for a stay away from home! It was so relaxing and the place is gorgeous but there was only enough cutlery and plates etc for 4 people- we were constantly washing them- just 2 spare of everything would have been ideal.

Also because it was wood and in the heat it had swollen, a lot of the doors wouldn’t shut and were squeaky- the wardrobe in the main bedroom and the second bedroom door was the worst! But would I go back? In a heartbeat!

Trying to find the cottage felt that just a little bit more info regarding the yellow sign went passed about three times but everything else was perfect

Visited with two other friends for a quiet weekend away.

Absolutely fantastic service, brilliant amenities and clean apartment. Steve went over and beyond to prepare everything ahead of our trip, and the stay was welcoming and relaxing. Really happy, and we will be back again!

Beautiful, well equipped lodge.

Spotlessly clean. Fabulous hot tub with spectacular views across the countryside. Felt very relaxed amidst the peace and quiet. Some good walks roundabout without having to drive anywhere. Ordered a couple of food deliveries via Ulverston Eats which arrived promptly and were delicious. Didn’t want to leave this gorgeous piece of heaven.

We had the most amazing stay at Oak Lodge.

Even down to the tiny details! More than enough towels supplied, great facilities, and they even left a bottle of wine for us! The hot tub was huge and was the cherry on the top of this fantastic Lodge! We will definitely be back. We can’t thank everyone enough for having us at the lodge. It was so peaceful, quiet, and the views were great.

Oak Lodge was absolutely beautiful!

Aesthetically it was modern and cosy, with Steve even putting up Christmas decorations for us prior to arrival. The lodge was fully equipped with everything we needed (kitchen utensils, plates, pans etc), even down to dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid demonstrating they had thought ahead. There was even a bottle of wine and a list of 'Ulverston Eats' waiting for us on arrival if we wanted to order food on our first night. Just what we needed after a 7 hour drive! They honestly went above and beyond to think of us. The hot tub is huge clean, and was clean and ready for use (in terms of the water being heated up) by the second day, as Steve will change the water and put in all the cleaning products prior to new guests arriving. The lodges are all situated within reasonable distance of each other however in a fashion that you still have lots of privacy, even when in the hot tub. The lodges are high up in the Cumbria countryside with stunning views from the cabin or in the hot tub, but you're also only a 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarkets. Steve also owns 2 very friendly cats, one of whom made herself cosy with us in the evenings and who we are missing very much! For us, this was the perfect restful and festive getaway we needed after a difficult 2020. No complaints at all and we would love to return! I've already recommended to many friends! Thank you for ending our 2020 on a positive note!

Every expectation was met and exceeded. Friendly, welcoming, clean, beautiful and all around amazing. Would visit again and would recommend to anyone.

We loved our stay at Oak Lodge!

The lodge was very clean and finished to a high standard and had everything we needed for our stay. The lodge is in a great location, Ulverston is a a short drive away with a good variety of shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed days out at the Zoo and Coniston. We definitely made the most of the hot tub!

Everything about our holiday at Oak Lodge was excellent.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub which we used everyday. It was lovely and relaxing, with amenities not far away. We would definitely go back there.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Oak Lodge.

The check in process was easy. The hosts provided all the basic necessities of kitchen equipment which was so handy and also cleaning products just in case you forgot but we used our own anyway. The hot tub was big enough for 6 people and reached 40degrees, perfect. The lodge itself was furnished to a high standard. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location with lovely views and privacy from the other lodges. We really loved our stay here and have already recommended this place to our friends.

My two children aged 7 and 11 said this was the best holiday they have had and they are well travelled.

The lodge was spotless, private and was equipped with anything you may need. The hot tub was big and to a high spec, a wonderful place to observe the neighbouring sheep. The owner is friendly and helpful but leaves you to enjoy your holiday. There resident pets were thoroughly pleasant. We walked to the nearby zoo which was wonderful and enjoyed by all. The rest of the days were spent visiting other locations such as Bowness on Windemere, Go Ape, Ambleside, Brockholes and the huge sand dunes at the national Trust nature reserve nearby.

So much thought has gone into making the lodge a home from home.

And in our case I think we thought better than home in some areas.. Already missing the bed and hot tub!!

We had a really lovely stay.

The cabin is stunning and couldn't fault it. However, we only got use of the hot tub for a small part of our stay. The hot tub stopped working and we were unable to use it and there was nobody on hand who was able to help with this issue. This was extremely disappointing for us as the hot tub was the reason we chose this accommodation

This was the most lovely lodge, Steve was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

It was warm on a very cold weekend. Everything was clean and of good quality. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a fantastic week's stay in Oak Lodge.

It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was great and very easy to get to the local town of Ulverston and also to Barrow. We went to the Zoo, the Aquarium and also had a nice river cruise on Lake Windermere. The hot tub was a big hit with all of us, as well as the regular visits from the very friendly cats. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back in the future.

The place was absolutely stunning and accomodation was indeed luxury, decorated and filled out to a very high standard, everything was on hand that you might need, we really didn't want to come home, and Sid the friendly cat was something else.

The owners are welcoming, and gave a quick introduction to the lodge and were available when required.

We were quickly left to enjoy the peace and location which is wonderful, quiet and rural. Basics for tea/coffee were already in the lodge as well as a bottle of wine. Hot tub was a hit with the kids (15 & 11) and makes for a different fun experience. Nearby Ulverston is a pleasant town with good restaurants and an excellent groceries store (Booths). Whilst not directly within the Lake District, it really is very close to the two main lakes, this was the perfect holiday home for our short stay and we were genuinely sad to leave.

I have no criticisms expect maybe a roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms.

Otherwise, absolutely fantastic, no complaints. Loved the friendly cat that would come and visit us!

Having stayed in the adjoining lodge last summer, I knew what to expect when booking Oak Lodge and it did not disappoint.

Stunning accommodation set in peaceful surroundings with great views. I can highly recommend this lodge and will definitely be back in future. It is a credit to the owners who are welcoming and friendly people.
