Little Heaning

What a fantastic place to stay to relax and enjoy, second year on the run we have returned and would highly recommend this property.

The pod was amazing!

It is just the right size for 2 people who want relaxed, intimate time together. It is based on a small farm which is very well kept and maintained. There are 3 other pods which are neighboured but kept private. The pod was very clean and tidy throughout. There are the usual amenities as expected. The pod has a shower, toilet and sink which are stocked with toiletries, towels and dressing gown. The pod has a log burner which came with logs and kindling, it provides a lot of heat which made the pod felt very cosy. The hot tub was spotless and constantly warm, it pushes out jet streams but no bubbles, but this is advised. It was very relaxing to use and unwind. There is also a gas BBQ which has utensils provided in the kitchen. The host, Louise, was very professional, attentive and is available when you need her assistance/help. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants a relaxing, intimate weekend with their partner. I highly highly rate this accommodation

.we were blown away at how fantastic the place was. Super clean, very welcoming and very peaceful..the hot tub blew us away.. again, super clean and HUGE..we loved it. Great facillities with the sauna, tin baths, loungers and outdoor shower..was much needed in the heat last week. I have already recommended you to friends and family. Thank you for amazing stay and playing with the dogs was a big bonus.

Little Heaning was a dream.

From the moment we got there we were stunned how picturesque Little Heaning and the surrounding location was, including the views, the walks and the little village of Cartmel (a short drive away). Little Heaning was spotless and very well equipped with everything you could need. We thought the cabin was more spacious than the photos portrayed which was a lovely surprise. Louise was absolutely fabulous providing us with everything we needed. On arrival we were welcomed with a folder full of activities, walks and places to eat in the local area which was super helpful when planning the days activities. We will 100% be back next year and every year following!

Little Heaning is the perfect getaway, we just wish we could stay longer. As always the facilities are wonderful, clean and make for the perfect stay. The customer service is always to the highest of standard and we are always made to feel so welcome. The surrounding area is stunning and makes for a lovely drive to our favourite spots. Thank you so much for giving us a much needed break and a little spot of heaven to retreat to. We will most definitely be back!

we loved our weekend away.

we had an amazing stay and would definitely return and recommend to family and friends. It was so peaceful and the views where stunning. The accommodation itself was very clean and cosy. It had all the appliances you may need while away. It was in an ideal location. About a 20 minute walk into Cartmel which we did each night. And less that a 10 minute drive into Grange. The hosts were very friendly. Louise came as we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall I would stay here again as it was a lovely experience.

The place was cosy, clean and supplied with all you needed for the week. We enjoyed the hot tub, it had a comfortable amount of space and depth. I think I would consider booking again.

Our stay at Little Heaning was wonderful, it was a beautiful location and the property was immaculate with everything we could need.

We really enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ and the host sent detailed check in instructions and left a booklet in the property on how things worked and local attractions and restaurants. They also provided a few treats in the fridge. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely comfortable place to stay.

Immaculate place inside and out. Very peaceful with gorgeous views of the surrounding hills and landscape. Loads of places to visit especially if you like walking. Would definitely like to pay a visit again, hopefully soon.

This pod is compact but with all the luxuries you need.

On arrival the space was clean,tidy and was surprised to see a lovely local sticky toffee pudding in the fridge for us to enjoy. There was tea coffee and milk supplied. All lovely touches to set this place apart from others. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Little Heaning while we ventured into the lake district to climb mountains, visit villages, and take part in water activities on the lakes.

The accommodation is super clean and really comfy! We spent every night in the hot tub as we stargazed, put the log burner on to dry off; and spent our evenings cooking up some burgers on the BBQ. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Could ask for a better lodge in the lakes. We will be visiting again! Next time we plan to have a lazy day at the lodge!

Fabulous stay at Little Heaning.

Every little detail thought of. Would definitely come back.

The property was well equipped, very clean and as described.

We were provided with some fresh milk on arrival. There were video instructions for everything. We were greeted in a nice friendly manner and felt very welcome. It was a nice base to explore the lovely Lake District happy to recommend it.

We had the most wonderful stay at Little Heaning, it was beautiful!

Lousie is very accommodating and friendly. Property is close to everywhere (Cartmel, kendal, Lake windemere)

Very peaceful and the views are great Would stay there again and wound recommend a great place to anyone staying in the lakes to try this place.

Little Heaning was absolutely brilliant, spotless clean when we arrived, exactly as the pictures show, they give you a basket load of logs for the burner, lovely and clean hot tub, checked daily, with an amazing view.

Seamless from start to finish, Louise was brilliant and so friendly (as well as Roxy the dog!

). We loved the pod and the beautiful countryside. We had everything we needed during our stay and we couldn't fault anything. The Pods are much more private than I imagined, and it was so peaceful. The location is excellent and we walked into Cartmel a few times with no problems. We'd definitely stay again!

The views were amazing and the property was brilliant, peaceful and secluded (only four pods) on a farm. It had everything we needed and very clean. The owner was lovely and the hot tub was checked daily.

We had the best time here, the Lodge was amazing and the location (added bonus of the going in spring and seeing all the lambs too!

Absolutely lovely place to stay for a well needed relaxing break.

Allows you to relax in such a beautiful spot & clean, well maintained place. The kitchen is well equipped and the smart/mini oven is super easy to use. We cooked for a few nights & travelled for food the other days. Super easy unpacking, plenty of drawers etc and you can park next to your pod. It’s a great location and easy to get to so many different places. Thank you so much for our stay. The owner was so lovely & welcoming. We certainly would advise this place

Myself and my boyfriend recently stayed over the weekend and were blown away by the property and its amenities.

It’s a perfect, private space to enjoy a peaceful few days in the countryside, and the owners were there if we needed anything at all. I have already recommended this property to a number of my friends!

We had such a lovely and relaxing time staying at Little Heaning, it was clean, comfortable and warm.

The hot tub was perfect after a days walking! We will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay in Little Heaning .

Relaxed and super quiet setting . The POD is warm and cosy on cold days especially with a fire lit. Enough amenities within for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is also amazing which we used every day, looking out across the views while relaxing and enjoying it. EV charging available on the farm too if needed and easy to use. Cartmel is a lovely little town with some nice pubs and walks close by. We didn’t want to leave so already considering a return visit. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Little Heaning, it had everything we needed and more.

The cabin was clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. The site was brilliant with amazing views all around and a hot tub to enjoy all day long. We would definitely look to return in the future.

Louise was very welcoming and the Little Heaning cabin/accommodation was excellent.

The farm setting is also idyllic and we will definitely be going back for another visit next year.

We had a lovely stay at Little Heaning.

It's so peaceful and in a beautiful setting. The hot tub is an amazing addition and we used it every day. We loved the fact that it's just out of the touristy areas of the Lake District, but the lakes are easily accessible for hiking and exploring. We sat on the deck every evening bar one, due to weather where we sat inside, where it was warm and cosy playing games. We would highly recommend Longlands Farm Retreats.

I cannot recommend this place enough.

I was their with the girls for 4 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. The accommodation was everything and expected and more besides. You couldn't get me out of the hot tub!! I'm already planning my next visit. The views are to die for. My friends and family all feel exactly the same. We didn't want to leave. If I had to make any suggestions it would only be 2 things...plumper pillows and a sweeping brush. We all wanted to leave the pods as we found them, so just wanted to give the floors a quick once over and the pillows were just a bit flat. However, this would not stop me from returning to this absolutely stunning place. Louise was great, a very nice woman. You have an amazing business. Thank you so much for our stay.

The lodge had everything we needed, a perfect location and was extremely homely.

My partner and I came here for a few days as a mini moon the day after we were married.

Before arriving I was able to contact the owners and arrange a small treat for our my partner and I. The owners went above and beyond to make this happen for us and make is feel special. Upon on arrival we were blown away by the miraculous views from the pods. When we entered Little Heaning we were greatly surprised by how spacious and luxurious it was. The owners had thought of everything in order to make the stay relaxing and peaceful. The hot tub was maintained every day and the cleanliness of the whole site was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again!

I had read reviews on Little Heaning and could not wait to arrive as all were so positive and we were not disappointed.

Gorgeous setting, views amazing and the pod was exceptionally clean. Had everything we needed, they really have provided everything. There are 4 pods in total but we felt we were the only ones there with how private they have made each one. Would 100% recommend for a relaxing retreat. I was sad to leave.

We had a great time staying at Longlands Farm Retreats.

Our pod (Little Heaning) was bigger than we envisaged and well equipped with everything we should need for a short break. The shower had very good pressure. The hot tub was great. The owner greeted us and was very friendly, we felt we would be well looked after if we had any issues (thankfully we didn’t have any!)

This was the first time we stayed in a pod and it did not disappoint.

There are only 4 pods on the site, which along with being in the gorgeous Cumbrian countryside added to the peace of the location. The pod was beautiful, comfortable and ideal for a couple to unwind, the hot tub is a brilliant inclusion, every evening a soak while enjoying the countryside is a must! The only. very small thing was there was no where to hang clothes and the kitchen has no microwave but the lovely Louise was very happy for feedback during our stay. Would definitely recommend Longlands Farm . Thank you Louise we have had a wonderful week .

It’s spotlessly clean, the welcome can of beer and small bottle of fizz is a lovely touch (maybe a local fruit juice for the teetotallers) the local toiletries are gorgeous (we’ve ordered some of our own

We spent a weekend at little hearing.

The lodge was immaculate both inside and out. The hot tub was great and perfect temp for the cold breeze outside. Gas bbq for sitting out and the little touches that Louise has left out for our stay made the whole thing excellent like welcome drinks and robes for the tub. 100% recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Little Heaning. Everything was perfect and made our stay so comfortable. The pod was larger than we had expected too. We would definitely return and will recommend to our friends and family. It might be useful to let future guests know that a hairdryer is provided, and that the property boasts a multi-function oven, rather than a microwave.

Perfect location. The cottage was super clean, with towels and robes for us to use. Some special touches added made our stay feel that extra special. We will definitely be recommending this place to others and would love to go back. Our little recommendation would be to have hooks outside near the hottub to hang robes or towels. Another absolutely fantastic stay.

These pods are so luxury and have everything you need to switch off and relax. Louise was great and friendly. Hot tub sometimes wasn’t as hot as it could be but still pleasant enough to enjoy.

Amazing location, could only hear the cows & sheep with a few bunny sightings & stunning, uninterrupted views! Heaps to do locally & then come back to our pod which had everything we needed & to the lovely hot tub which made our stay. Louise, one of the owners is super welcoming & helpful if we needed anything & we will be back! Thank you!

Absolutely lovely place and ideal for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful location and scenery to help you relax and located well for the lakes too. Communication prior to arriving was great with clear instructions on how to access the farm. My only other comment would be that the barbecue appeared to run out of gas when we went to use it, but certainly not something that would stop me from coming here again.

There was lots of items they places such as toilet paper fairy liquid and milk and the property manger was so lovely at her job and was always a call away from us if we needed her for anything .the hot top is the cleanest I’ve seen in my life .We loved every moment here and would love to come stay here again .It was so peaceful in the surroundings and lots to do in the local areas.

Me and my boyfriend both stayed for his birthday and it did not disappoint. Louise was very welcoming as we stayed for a week we got to speak quite a lot. The lodge is just incredible. The goodies for our stay was a bonus. There was not one fault. Hot tub was amazing, used the bbq every night it was just the best stay we’ve had! Very close to Kendal and Windermere. This was my first time staying in a pod as I usually would go on holiday abroad but I was pleasantly surprised.

The location and grounds were beautiful, the pod was stunning and had everything we needed and the extra little touches were brilliant. Louise was very welcoming and made us feel welcome. I will absolutely be staying there again.

Absolutely beautiful setting, the pods are in such a peaceful area there's no noise at all except the sheep.

When we arrived the pods were spotless and we had some nice little treats in the fridge and on the side. There was also a welcome book which explained all the cooking facilities ect. The bed was super comfy and the TV had all the features you need. The thing we were most looking forward to was the hot tub but it was slightly disappointing, upon arrival the jets were not working but once we told the owner about it they soon fixed it. It still wasn't very powerful and not very hot more like a warm bath than a hot tub but we still enjoyed it for the 2 days we were there. Although we didn't meet the owners properly they answered our calls several times and were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend x

Little heaning is a perfect base for a weekend of exploring the Lake District!

It's comfortable, cosy and the host, Louise, was very welcoming and left some really nice welcome treats too. The pod was presented perfectly and came with everything we needed for our stay. It made for a peaceful and relaxing getaway out in the sticks, enhanced by a hot tub and a log burner. The bed was really comfortable and the pod had a fantastic design kitted out with modern decor. The only feedback I would give is on the hot tub, at times it felt cooler with no way to turn the heat up (I guess the heat is automatic as it would eventually start warming up but would take a while to kick in) and also the bubble pressure was a little low. Both very minor things which has been overlooked as everything else was incredible, thank you so much and we look forward to returning :)

The accomodation is exactly what we were looking for, for a romantic getaway and in cosy warmth and comfort. The location is fantastic for nice walks and the hot tub for a warm soak was ideal at the end of a day looking up at the stars. Thanks to the owners for the wine, beer and sticky toffee pudding! It was the perfect welcome.

I have just come back from a week stay and loved it the pod was so clean and comfortable and the location is so peaceful with amazing views!

Louise is a great host and any problems we had got sorted straight away. There was a sticky toffee pudding, champagne, milk and beer in the fridge and a delicious pack of biscuits which I thought was a lovely touch! I found the welcome pack Louise provided very helpful as it listed some of the pubs and shops in the local area. The log fire is great and makes the pod so cosy and romantic. We used the hotub most nights and this was very well maintained and was simple to use. Thank you Louise! It was great :)

Amazing place!

This hidden away little cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. The sun sets and rises right in front giving a lovely picturesque view morning and evening. We enjoyed the hot tub and log burner every night which was definitely a highlight for us. On arrival as we entered the cabin and opened the fridge we were met with a complimentary sticky toffee pudding, milk, champagne and a beer. We really appreciated this and thought it was a lovely touch. The owner was very helpful and brought us logs/anything we needed after requested. I would definitely recommend and will hopefully be returning sometime in the future. Thanks
