Middle Longlands

Loved it.

We wanted a nice peaceful time away and we certainly got it. Accommodation was spot on, clean and well equipped. Hosts are really friendly and helpful. They notified us of road works and best route to take to get there. We had an issue with our key which stop working they came out straight away that evening to rectify. Overall stay was fantastic and will definitely return. Couldn't ask for more.

The design and layout of the pod means that the cute and cosy accommodation is also spacious and comfortable at the same time.

Very peaceful setting (on a farm) with gorgeous scenery from the terrace. Soaking in the hot-tub while admiring the views was very relaxing. Close to lots of lovely places to visit. Owners live in the farm cottage and are welcoming and helpful - thank you! Highly recommended.

The only issue we had was the mattress was bumpy, hubby swapped sides and noticed too.

I asked if there was a mattress topper and Louise managed to get one for me which did help. Not sure if the mattress needs changing or flipping over. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and happy to recommend. If I had to be a tiny bit picky, I’d say a small clothes rail for anything that needs hanging, just one that would fit easily in a corner but that’s probably me being picky!

Absolutely lovely stay at Middle Longlands.

Couldn't fault anything from start to finish. Would recommend to anyone wanting to recharge and relax. Would love to go back.

Lovely little holiday pod.

Great facilities. Excellent views and close to all the places we wanted to visit. Could have done with a bit more of a clean. The sauna was a nice touch. Owners very helpfull. Would book again.

We enjoyed a brilliant weekend at middle Longlands for the weekend , it was so clean and tidy ,and you couldn’t fault it at all .

So scenic outdoors even while sitting in the hot tub and the owners were so lovely and welcoming and they made sure if we had any questions or queries they would be able to help . Would 1000% recommend a stay here will definitely be back

Exceptional staycation!

11/10 stars.. Highly recommended for a peaceful and quiet holiday , connecting to the nature, away from all chaos of city life.

Location is amazing, surrounded by stunning views.

Accessed through country roads.The area is very quiet and peaceful .The cabins are great and very comfortable but we were there on very hot days and the balcony could do with a brolly for shade from the sun as it was intense on the front of the cabin all day. . kitchen was very well equipped( even a bbq on the balcony ) but some utensils need replacing as the ends were loose and fell apart . Bed was very comfortable and it was great sitting in the hot tub on an evening admiring the views. Would definitely consider booking again.

Our second time staying at Longlands Farm in one of Louise’s cabins.

They’re perfect in every way and have everything you need. They’re cosy, spacious and in a very scenic and picturesque location. There’s central heating, a wood fire burner, a hob, fridge / freezer and a BBQ, amongst others. The hot tub is incredible. This years new addition is the sauna and also the ice baths. They’re incredible and helped us recover after very long and strenuous hikes. We will be back for a third time!

We recently stayed at Middle Longlands for 3 nights.

We can honestly say it was the best accommodation we have stayed in. The pods are so much bigger in person, there is ample room for 2 people. The space was extremely clean and well looked after. The views are stunning, and the hot tub and sauna are such a great addition to this peaceful space. The pods are in a great location just outside of Cartmel, which was a speedy 5 minute drive away, or 20 minute walk. We had the most relaxing, enjoyable time and we will absolutely be back. It was truly faultless. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Middle Longlands, just WOW!

Myself and my wife have had an amazing four days of pure relaxation! The glamping pod/lodge was perfect! Cleanliness was faultless, as were the facilities (hot tub & sauna) Stunning! A view to loose yourself! Lou was always at hand if we had any questions. We are already looking at when we can book again! Loved it!!!

It was lovely added bonus with a the log fire and the hot tub.

Only thing I would change is the bedding it was too fine and worn an stain on the pillow not the pillow case The pillows were flat. Other than that nothing it was lovely. The little village is great but there paid parking visiting a few times isn’t ideal to pay the parking every time. The food places are cute but the drinks are dear. Definitely will return.

Absolutely love the accommodation, cleanliness could have been a tad better, no matches for the fire, but we would 100% go back so peaceful and lovely

Visited for the weekend, me and my partner loved it.

Was very tranquil and scenic. Louise was very helpful with local walks. We would definitely visit again.

We returned for a second visit to Middle Longlands after staying there two years ago.

As with the first time, Louise made us feel so welcome and the little touches were great! She has thought of everything and we particularly like that she is conscious of the environment and is sensitive to preserving the peace and tranquility of the area. The lodge itself is perfect and our stay was restful and relaxing. We’ll be back for a third visit!

this place is amazing, booked 3 nights.

Louise was very welcoming and her dog. Roxy a lovely friendly red lab. Would recommend to anyone that likes nice views. the hot tub was unreal i was in it for at least 1 hour a night (with breaks) .Has wifi, and the tv has all the channels you need including Disney+ and Netflix and prime video. Me and my girlfriend will be 100% rebooking this soon again for 4 nights instead!

This was my first time holidaying in a pod and I had a great time.

It was quite and had a great view from the pod. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Middle Longland pods are close to Cartmel lovely village plenty of pubs with food and also you are only 30 minutes from lake Windermere and Kendal.

Quiet with fantastic views. The owners are very helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Cartmel is a smashing village with loads of great places to eat out. The location is spot on as it is so easy to visit the lakes and visitor attractions. Will definetly visit again.

Extremely clean and well maintained.

Smelt amazing and Louise greeted us on arrival and gave plenty of privacy during our stay. Hot tub was maintained daily. Lovely view and nice trails nearby, lots of info provided in folder. Secure property.

We stayed at middle longlands for a week, the experience was amazing I could not fault a single thing.

What a beautiful place to stay, ideal location, near enough to the hustle and bustle but also nestled in complete tranquility.

The hot tub is just perfect and everything felt like new, so clean and well cared for. We had the most wonderful stay for our anniversary, we didn’t want to leave. Louise was so helpful and friendly too :) I will absolutely be recommending this place to people :) thank you so much x

Fantastic pod in the most beautiful setting.

So pieceful and very homely with the lovely log fire. There is central heating so log burner not really needed but so lovely to have on in the winter nights. Pod was bigger than expected and plenty space for 2 people. The little welcome treat of a beer, little bottle of prosecco, milk and sticky toffee pudding was lovely. Tea, coffee and sugar all available. The hot tub and terrace are great and very spacious. The host was nice and very welcoming. We highly recommend and will certainly be back. Cartmel village is only about 1 mile away and only 5 mins away from windermere lake.

Absolutely brilliant!

Wouldn’t change a thing was perfect. Only thing I would comment on is bathroom door lock didn’t work but it didnt matter at all still 5 stars!

What a wonderful stay we had at Middle Longlands!

We had a lovely welcome by Louise, the owner on arrival and the lodge was impeccably clean with lots of little touches, like milk, prosecco and beer in the fridge. Having a small kitchenette was also really helpful too! The log fire was very cosy and it was lovely to have a basket full of logs and fire starters too. The hot tub was amazing. At night, we would turn out the outside lights and look up to enjoy the stars on a clear night. It was perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Stunning property, very clean and tidy, got everything you need!

We were surprised by the size, it was bigger than we originally thought! The owner is lovely and only a phone call away. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway I couldn’t recommend anything or anywhere else!

We had the most amazing stay this weekend staying in the Middle lodge.

It was absolutely spotless and surprisingly bigger than on the pictures. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore and will definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a log cabin in the Lake District, this is the place to go.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Middle Longlands.

It was great to chill out in the hot tub most days and cook on the bbq a couple of nights. Only about a 25 minute walk into the delightful vibrant village of Cartmel with its many lovely shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. I am sure we will be back!

We had such an amazing week away.

Just what we needed. So relaxing. However, there were a couple of problems with the hot tub. It did take awhile to heat up, and also little bits of plastic kept coming out of the jets. I do appreciate that it seemed homemade and it was wonderful apart from that.

We had a great few days, lovely location for biking and not too far from the high fells for walking.

Cartmel village is just a short walk for good pubs.

Very impressed with the cleanliness and overall condition of the property, felt like it was brand new and we were the first people to stay there.

Settled in straight away, well stocked with everything we needed, everything worked as expected and was super cosy, felt like a home from home apart from the shower there was.better than the shower at my real home! Lovely views from the cabin and we lucked out with the weather, so enjoyed sitting out on the deck/in the hot tub in the sun. Definitely recommended!!

This is a lovely pod to stay in … I would recommend this holiday stay to anyone, where it’s situated… it’s beautiful… the host is very friendly, and if you like no noise and privacy.

We had a brilliant week staying at Middle Longlands.

The location is perfect for exploring the Lake District and far enough away for some lovely early morning and evening peace and quiet. Louise was great and very attentive. The pod was great. Well equipped and very clean and well looked after. Glass of wine on the decking with a dip in the hot tub afterwards followed by a relaxing log fire was the perfect end to great days out. We didn’t want to leave and will be back for sure.

Absolutely stunning part of England, gorgeous view from pod, very comfortable with added extra of hot tub to relax and chill at the end of an excellent day's fishing and walking.

We had the most incredible stay at Middle Longlands; it truly turned into a home from home for the week.

The pod was exceptionally clean and had everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay. The location was brilliant being just a short drive from Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere etc but quiet and away from the summer bustle of the Lake District, and Cartmel is a lovely little town full of nice pubs and coffee shops. Loads to do and explore, but also it was so nice to come back to a cosy pod, fire up the BBQ and relax in the hot tub after a busy day. Would definitely recommend, and will certainly be making a return trip, thank you!

Gorgeous place with beautiful surroundings.

Just a mile from the village of Carmel, which is surprisingly lively for such a small place. Great food and live music in the square. Highly recommended for anyone wanting total relaxation, with access to scenic walks and lovely pubs and restaurants near by

Fantastic place, amazing views, relaxing and would fully recommend

I would highly recommend these cabins, we stayed for 4 nights in the Middle Longlands cabin with a hot tub and BBQ on the decking area.

The inside is clean, cosy and has everything you need from a little kitchen with fridge and freezer section, oven and hobs to make meals, fully stocked tea and coffee, biscuits alongside a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and a sticky toffee pudding. The location was perfect for us, 10 minute drive to Lake Windermere as we enjoy paddleboarding aswell as other lovely local walks and towns. Petrol station and local shop were a few minutes down the road. Louise was a fantastic host, left our keys and gate fob to come and go as we please, you park up next to the cabin you stay in and can contact Louise via message if needed or when she checks the hot tubs every morning. Overall very friendly and accommodating. Our only thing was the cabins can get quite hot when the weather is nice however the bifold doors were a gods send and I recommend closing all the blinds when you go out for the day. For colder days there is a log fire and blankets aswell as heating. The views are exceptional and very peaceful, would definitely stay again.

We stayed at middle long lands for our honeymoon and everything was perfect.

It was very clean, had everything we needed, was in the perfect position and Louise was an amazing host. The location itself was fantastic, very private and secluded but within walking distance of Cartmel. Would definitely visit again

We had an absolutely fantastic stay.

So quiet and peaceful. The pod we stayed in was spotless, well stocked with tea, coffee, sugar biscuits. There was even a small glass bottle of milk, a small bottle of prosecco and a bottle of beer in the fridge on arrival. Very comfortable bed. WiFi was strong and reliable. TV had the options of netflix, amazon video, iplayer etc (even though we didn’t spend much time watching the tv). Most of the time at the lodge we spent on the decked area either in the hot tub or sat with a bottle of bubbly and some nibbles. Louise was fantastic and very helpful, even reccomended some places to visit and a way to get to cartmel village without walking on the road too much. Given the fairly remote location don't expect to be able to get a quick fix meal on an evening unless you book at one of the local pubs in Cartmel village but if you go prepared there is everything you need to be able to cook a lovely meal yourself, (even a fancy gas BBQ with temperature guage). All round the pod was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Perfect if you just want to get away from it all and relax. The farm is only 20-30 min drive away from Kendal and Windermere. Good access to main roads to the whole southern peninsula and cartmel is a 5 min drive away, Grange 10-15 mins away. There is also some wonderful walks around but that's a given when you are in Cumbria. Thank you for a wonderful stay Louise and see you again.

Me and my partner just stayed here Friday to Wednesday and we can’t believe it.

Such a stunning place, very very clean and comfy. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. Owners were so friendly as were their dog :) the view was beautiful and so peaceful. We were very sad to be leaving but can’t wait to come again already looking at booking our next trip.

We have stayed in many cabins/tree houses/shepherds huts over the years and without a doubt this has been one of the very best.

The cabin is in an idealic setting in the grounds of the farm, with views to die for. Cartmel village is beautiful and walking distance/short drive to, with a variety of places to eat and drink and to take plenty of photo's as very picturesque village and the home of sticky toffee pudding. Windermere only 20 mins away and Keswick less than an hour, making this a prime spot to venture from. The cabin itself ticked every box and cannot be faulted and the owners, Will & Louise, there if you need them and more than happy to stop and chat and help to make the stay memorable. We will come back and considering booking all 4 cabins and possibly the cottage too for a family vacation it was that good!

I had booked this for my brother and sister in law as an anniversary gift.

They were so happy when they came back. It was so clean and tidy my brother thought he was given a brand new cabin. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a break. They said the owners live close by so if you ever have any issues you can contact them at any time. Very friendly people, will be planning another trip soon. Thank you so much

We loved are stay.

Fact it only had 4 cabins . Peaceful area . We were watching the lambs play in the fields . This place was everything we were looking for . We will be back .

We loved everything about our stay at Middle Longlands.

The cottage was lovely, really well appointed and spotlessly clean, and the decking, hot tub and BBQ outdoors made the space seem even larger. Louise sent us a great welcome email with details of local attractions and we really felt that nothing was too much trouble during our visit. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful little pod in a lovely part of the world.

I can’t recommend it highly enough. Although, I would add a cheese grater to the kitchen!! It certainly worth a stay if you’re heading to the South Lakes. And the couple running it are really nice with a fabulous pair of dogs!

What can I say…..myself and my wife stopped here and what an amazing beautiful little place it was!! Amazing views really hot hot tub clean quite and the owners very very friendly:) the hills that are in veiw are a lovely walk and definitely passes the day away and the ullswater lakes are definitely a must absolutely outstanding. Definitely worth stopping here you won’t regret it:)

Absolutely wonderful stay me and my boyfriend wanted a peaceful quiet week away to relax in the hot tub and we got exactly that and the place was cute and clean and tidy even had bathe robes which was lovely we had the best time!

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed every minute of our stay in the middle Longlands.

We can not fault the place in any way. It was just as the pictures shown. Very clean, comfy bed, log burner was great, hot tub was consistently hot. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Very nice people and place. Would recommend anyone to visit and we will be booking again in the future. Our minor recommendation would be not having a rail to put clothes on. It was absolutely fine for ourselves however if you were going for longer than a few nights you may want to possibly hang clothes up. Overall so pleased with everything. Amazing place.

Although the weather wasn't the best we had the best 4 night stay!

Very clean and has everything you need to be able to cook meals and have a chilled night in.. Hot tub and log burner were our main highlights! Location is perfect as it is so peaceful and quiet, yet you're just a short drive away from the likes of Windermere and Ambleside. Louise was very helpful and welcoming.. Nothing was a bother to her at all. Will hopefully be back in the future.. Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the lake district. Leah and Richard

Just had the most amazing weekend away, the place was absolutely spotless and had everything you could ask for including some extra goodies.

Louise and her family are lovely and made us feel welcome, the Hot tub was brilliant and has a beautiful view. Will definitely be back next year, thanks for having us!

The accomodation was exactly as we expected it.

Super clean, hot tub was running all day and night so you could go in whenever you wanted to. Host came and met us as we got to the property and helped us with how to work certain things in the property. The email of recommendations for things to do and places to eat was also really helpful. We would definitely go back.

Amazing stay.

The cabins are great, the hot tub and log burner are two highlights of the cabin. Location is excellent and couldn't recommend the host Louise anymore. Would come back if we return to Cartmel.

Middle Longlands was perfect!

Everything we wanted and more. Peaceful & Cosy! Close by to Windermere Lakes and lots more so we had great days out. Spotlessly clean when we arrived. Host was lovely. Would defiantly love to go back.
