What a beautiful lodge and in the most amazing location, just a short stroll down to the waters edge, and a gorgeous view from the decking.
We absolutely loved staying at Serendipity and would happily return - a week didn't feel long enough! There was plenty of space within the lodge for the 5 of us and it has been furnished to a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful holiday. Only minor issue were the stairs leading up to the lodge, which have definitely seen better days and are in immediate need of repair, but this did not impact our stay.
The Lodge was in a lovely position with views of the lake which were gorgeous.
We felt that the lodge was not particularly well equipped and the furnishings were stained and tired. There was no manual with instructions supplied. Through nobody’s fault there was a power cut on our arrival which we found out about through ringing Lakeside lodge bookings who put us in touch with a maintenance man who was very helpful and pleasant. The power was off until 2245 hrs and we then had no hot water due to the boiler requiring a reset,with no instructions on how to do this and it was past closing time to contact maintenance we resorted to google to find out how to reset the boiler which fortunately worked as it was extremely hot weather, not everybody would be able to do this. Overall we enjoyed our stay but feel the lodge could do with a bit of a spruce up.
Serendipity is a beautiful lodge, well furnished, spacious, very clean, well appointed and comfortable, with a pleasing view of Lake Windermere.
We really enjoyed our days there and would return. Like any home however, it had its little niggle points: mechanism to change taps to shower head in main bathroom impossibly stiff, dining room chairs need tightening up, no hairdryer and no outside sun umbrella. The latter was very much missed in temperatures of 30 degrees plus! Overall a 4.5 out of 5 is wonderful score, and with only a little TLC and additions, could be excellent at 5 out of 5!

Serendipity is accessed by 4 steps and then everything is all on the same level.
Fallbarrrow Park management lock the entrance gates at midnight. If you are arriving after midnight, please call the night warden.

Please bring your own travel cot and highchair as these are not provided for you.
Please note, charging of electric vehicles is not permitted in this lodge, The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.
Park Rules and Operations – Fallbarrow
All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
