Windermere Lodge

The lodge was modern, spotlessly clean and very well equipped and well maintained.

The location is ideal for Bowness and walking/exploring the Lake District. We found the lodge very comfortable, cosy, very relaxing and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay there again.

Good lodge excellent location warm and clean let down slightly by the lounge furniture which was not comfortable.

Nice place, spotlessly clean with quality furnishings let down slightly by a few minor issues ; Cooking implements were not in good shape - most knives were blunt, grater didn’t have a handle, most pans didn’t have lids or the ones there were broken.

One of the ovens rack was broken and fell out so often it wasn’t usable. Minor repairs needed to the lighting - some bulbs not working, and one bedside light was hanging off the wall. Internet was unusable- not just slow but unreliable- kept disconnecting. While I appreciate this was provided by the park, and internet speeds are slow in that area, there are many ways to provide reliable, if slow, access.

The place was well equipped for cooking, outdoor and indoor relaxing and a lovely space for 4 people, very close to Bowness so easy access for shopping, bars and restaurants, great place that I would highly recommend

The lodge is immaculate and perfect for our needs, everything was just perfect!

Location on Fallbarrow is just a short walk from the entrance.

The couches were not comfortable, the rest of the lodge was very nice.

Glimpses of the lake too. Everything was spotlessly clean. Everything from the bedding to the crockery, glasses, etc. was high spec. Very homely with nice pictures, ornaments, soft furnishings, etc. We will stay again definitely. Highly recommended.

The owners have thought of everything in this lodge.

We had a fabulous weekend with our four grandchildren. The location is perfect.

This was our second visit this year with another booking for December.

We have really enjoyed the lodge but we have been unable to use Sky as not responding hope this can be resolved ready for us in December

My family arrived for a 2 night stay and were so impressed with the property - everything was spotless, light and airy with a well equipped kitchen, sky tv(not that we needed it) games cupboard and even a welcome pack.

The location was amazing, secluded in the greenery of the trees but a lovely view of Lake Windermere beyond. Just a short walk into the bustle of Bowness - an amazing stay - will book this lodge again!!

Outstanding accommodation!

We travelled as a family of 5; 2 adults and 3 children (5 year old and 2 year old twins) this was a very last minute booking, much to my horror, as in booked it Friday morning and set off an hour later! Turned out to be one of the best weekends away we’ve had! I’m very fussy with cleanliness, this exceeded my expectations I usually ship the husband out with the kids for an hour to unpack and fully clean the place when we go away but we were able to unpack and get straight out!! We didn’t take travel cots but we put the mattress from the top bunk on the floor and the twins were able to sleep on there, our eldest had one of the other rooms to himself. The lodge is immaculate with a very well thought out floor plan. We didn’t use the outside space but the view was lovely, can imagine it would be perfect on a summer night with a glass of wine! Plenty on outdoor furniture and the decking area was big enough for a large family to enjoy or eat outside. I’d seen a couple of people had mentioned that the living room furniture wasn’t very comfortable, I do get it, and on a personal preference I’d would have a more ‘lounge-y’ sofa but it was plenty comfortable for the evenings when watching the Tv and relaxing so not really an issue for us! The WiFi wasn’t great but we used our personal hotspots on our mobiles and had no problems. We didn’t use the sky Tv so I can’t comment on that but Netflix and the general Tv channels were fine for our stay. We absolutely loved our stay here and the location was just perfect, we’ve been looking for our next stay!, hopefully it won’t be too long until we can return!

We had an amazing stay with family The decor is lovely and all looks like new Club house facilities good too with decent food with evening meals and breakfast Great location next to Bowness Only downside, we couldn’t get WiFi but all had decent phone signals so not much of a problem

Windermere lodge has everything you will need for a comfortable holiday, and the heating kept the lodge nice and warm for your return after a wet and cold day out.

Windermere lodge was just perfect.

The lodge itself was so comfortable and clean with everything you could wish for and the outside decking area and views were fantastic. The location was great both on the park and for the distance into Bowness. We can't wait to stay again.

The lodge was excellent, the only comment is that one morning there was no water, we had to contact the maintenance team.

It turns out there is a safety cut off switch in the lodge, which had to be re_set. Could you please put a note in the Lodge instructions 'What to do it there is no water to the Lodge' this would of been very helpful , and would of saved a lot of hassle. However this will not deter is from returning.

Lodge is beautiful, so comfortable and a pleasure to stay in , everything you need and more is there

WiFi not working.

Coat hooks by entrance would help. Shower a bit leaky.(in bathroom). Heated floor a bonus. Overall happy though and would recommend

9% perfect Did have an issue with the sky tv.... didn’t always work but that’s the only issue we had and it certainly didn’t effect the holiday.

The lodge was fabulous, had everything you could possibly need and more.

Situated in Nice spot on the park. Bed was exceptionally comfy. Will definately be returning

The sky TV was not accessible also

This was our 2nd visit, fab cabin in a really good location.

Windermere Lodge is nice enough but not what I would describe as a luxurious lodge by any means.

The sofa and upright side chairs are very stylish but extremely uncomfortable and not welcomed after a long day walking/hiking. Thick dust in the bedrooms which has obviously been there for some time (I have photos) The plastic green covering that had been placed over the units in the master bedroom are split on some of the drawers and lifting on headboard with visible glue where a repair had been attempted and edging of bedside units also lifting it was all very unsightly and not luxurious at all (I have photos). The duvet was stained. The fridge door needs attention as it has dropped. There were no empty kitchen cupboards In which to store food. I cleaned three of the bifold door windows which were very dirty so I could enjoy the view of the lake. I booked this lodge as it had such great reviews and is described in your details as luxurious but in my opinion it was definitely not worth the money I paid. I have stayed at Falbarrow many times and rented much better lodges for a lot less money. Falbarrow is a beautiful holiday park, we had a fantastic break and I will definitely go back there but I would not go back to this lodge. Extremely disappointed.

The location is great just a few mins from Bowness and the facilities were great (the park had a children's play area, cafe and shop and it was only a short walk to the lakeside) The lodge was fantastic - modern with nice furniture, we have young children so spent quite a bit of time in on an evening, the DVDs (There are Beatrix Potter ones which we watched after visiting the museum.) The outdoor furniture and BBQ were great too. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again.

We enjoyed our first stay in Windermere lodge and would definately book again.

The lodge was clean in all the main areas bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms etc but not sure how often they have a deep clean. Around the edges of the windows and the venitian blinds were quite dusty and down the sides of the chairs had not been hovered/cleaned. Would be interestred to know if this is something that is done weekly or not. It did not detract from our stay as the lodge met all our needs and was comfortable.

My Husband and I had a lovely stay at Windermere Lodge.

The Lodge was very modern, clean and comfortable. The Bedrooms were all a good size and had plenty of wardrobe space. Beds were also a good size and very comfortable. The under floor heating in the bathroom was a real treat, so nice!! A well equipped kitchen had everything we needed and more. The on site Willow Bar / Restaurant served excellent food and all the staff there were very friendly and helpful. The Deli shop was handy for a few groceries and a nice stop off for a coffee after walking back from Bowness. We had a nice relaxing week here which was well needed. Thank You !!

Lodge was beautiful.

However, the front door wouldn’t lock on a couple of occasions. It has clearly been fixed previously but think it needs a new lock! Sofa in living room very uncomfortable. Shame as otherwise our stay was fine.

Very well equipped, comfortable lodge in a great location just by Bowness.

The park has great facilities, including kids playground and indoor games room, which our 2 year old enjoyed. Would recommend and book again!

The property was spotless and very well equipped…the cleaning pack, welcome pack and toiletries were all an added bonus and came in very useful.

Everything in the lodge was exceptionally clean & of a very high standard .

Only problem we had was with the bbq . The top part looked quite clean but when we started to use it , we then realised it had never been cleaned underneath . There was so much fat all lying in it which had burned & caused flames to shoot up whenever we lit it . We had to thoroughly scrub it to try to get it clean . We left it as spotless as was possible . This was really disappointing .

Windermere lodge is in a quiet location on Fallbarrow Park it is very clean and comfortable, It also has partial lake views.

The Lodge has everything in it that you would need and more. We would definatly stay there again.
