“Elm lodge is a very well kept lodge.”

Beautifully clean and well maintained. It's in a lovely location, very peaceful with amenities not too far away. On the whole we really liked it. We were very disappointed by not being able to use the tub at all on day one, we knew it may not be up to temperature on arrival (check in at 3pm) but it was still freezing at 11pm. Just for awareness, the lodge is on a farm and there are cats roaming free. Elm is a pet free cabin- we book these out of necessity due to having a very allergic ...

Elm is a pet free cabin- we book these out of necessity due to having a very allergic child. The cats are always sat at the windows and door waiting to get in. This meant we had to be REALLY on it when going in and out as they'd literally be waiting to sprint in. Bit of a pain and wouldn't be suitable in warmer months if you wanted the windows/doors open. If you're a cat lover mind, it's ideal.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for your kind comments about Elm Lodge – we’re really pleased to hear you found it clean, well maintained and enjoyed the peaceful location. We’re sorry the hot tub wasn’t up to temperature on your first evening. Due to the volume of water, it can take some time to fully heat, particularly if it has been freshly cleaned and sanitised prior to arrival. We always prioritise providing a thoroughly cleaned and safe hot tub for our guests, but we appreciate this may have been disappointing after your journey. Thank you also for highlighting the point about the farm cats. While Elm Lodge is strictly pet-free inside, we are located on a working rural property and the cats are part of managing the surrounding wildlife. We do understand your concerns, particularly with allergies, and appreciate you raising this so we can continue to make this clearer for future guests. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Property Owner
