What a beautiful lodge which has the best location not only on this tranquil and picturesque site but the area as well. A grateful welcome pack and all the home comforts you could want in this beautiful Lodge. Very clean throughout and smelt very fresh. The quality of the bedding and towels provided were excellent. “The lodge was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy, had plenty of storage and utensils.”

The only niggly thing I would say is the double doors at the front of the lodge had a small gap at the bottom, which left a little draft in. Other than that it was very cosy and comfortable.

“Everything was perfect, the lodge was immaculate with everything provided that you could possibly need.”

We had a lovely outlook over the duck pond where there were Herons and Ducks. Beautiful. The key pad for barrier is very low down on the right hand side, we missed this and had to ask at reception across the road.

“We've just returned from a wonderfully chilled week at 22 Yealand.”

The accommodation was like home from home and everything was at our finger tips. We had our shopping delivered to the front door by Sainsbury's so we mostly ate in. The bedroom was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The Lodge looked brand new and so clean and tidy. We ate out once at the Albion pub at Arnside which was very very nice. Most of the time was chilling inside and out on the beautiful decking. Thank god we missed Amy.. Thanks to owner Carol who we met as we arrived a little early. Definitely 5 stars Stephen, Susan and Patchie

“The accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and even treats for our dog.”

The weather was good and very accessible to Kendal and other places, Morecambe seafront with views over to the lakes was lovely. Hope to go again.

Thanks Sue for a fabulous stay 22 Yealand far exceeded our expectations we didn't want to leave so much to do and see the canal towpath was right on the doorstep which was great for Lass the Longlands Hotel was only a short stroll where we had some lovely food Warton Crag & Arnside Knott were worth the short climb for some great views & a lot easier on the old knees compared to the Giants of Lakeland which were only a 30 minute drive Lancaster & Kendal were only a short drive away the castle & priory certainly worth a visit all in all our break at Yealand was one of the best we've experienced in a long time thank you Sue to quote Arnie we'll be back John & Milly Blackpool

It is ideally situated for most places including Silverdale Arnside Kendal Lancaster & only a 30 min drive into Windermere. Or you can use your bus pass & catch the stagecoach bus practically right outside which takes 1 hour & drops you at Bowness ready for a cruise on Lake Windermere all in all our stay at 22 Yealand was outstanding and i would highly recommend it to family & friends. And if your lucky enough to be blessed with sunshine you can sit outside with a glass of wine & watch the ducks on the pond we will definitely be back next year John & Milly + Lass

“There has been a lot of thought gone into presenting and appointing this home for guests.”

It was immaculate but also the information, facilities and items left were use were well thought out and presented. The format of the main room, dining and kitchen was brilliant and left the place feeling spacious. The wrap around balcony was so useful meaning there was always somewhere to sit and the availability of outside dining was great. We did not use the second bedroom but the main bedroom suite with its full dressing table, king bedroom, dressing area and ensuite was a luxury. The location is one we know well and is brilliant for exploring the area all the way into the Lakes but also Arnside and Silverdale. Windermere is no more than 35 minutes away and we even got to Muncaster in an hour and 25 minutes in the Western Lakes. We ate at the Watersedge and used the gym regularly. We would recommend them but you have to book the Watersedge. We also found the Old School Brewery for live music on Sunday (4-7pm). Very locally the Wildlife Oasis was a surprising little zoo and Greenlands has been marked out for a visit with the grandkids too. Longlands and the newly fitted pub at Burton were great with brilliant offers on at Longlands. All of these were less than 10 minutes away. Brilliant place to stay, very well presented and a great holiday.

CARNFORTH

Capernwray 2.4 miles; Lake District National Park 11.6 miles.

Located just off the M6 and 20 miles south of the scenic Lake District, Carnforth is the sort of place that everyone has heard of, and many desire to discover this hidden gem. Situated at the north end of Morecambe Bay, north of the historic town of Lancaster, 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, it is close to absolutely everywhere! Other local attractions include Greenlands Farm Village for crafts, local produce, a play area, café, and a garden centre. The lovely area just north of Carnforth has tidal sands bordering the huge expanse of Morecambe Bay.
