Very nice, just what we required.

Very relaxing.

This was our third time staying in this caravan, so we must have liked it.

It was ideally situated for our visiting other nearby towns and villages.

every thing you needed was available. but you do need a car as there are no buses we used uber pet friendly very reasonable prices .

Firstly the owners are lovely.

We got a bottle of wine and some biscuits on arrival. If I had any questions or concerns they got back to me. The caravan was clean. However We had a very heavy downpour of rain on Wednesday so much so that the van started to leak. We contacted the owners but no one from maintenance turned up. There is something wrong with the oven as it was extremely hot and it didn't matter what temperature you had it on it was extremely hot. My son had one of the ready meals you know the ones you are supposed to put in the oven that you pierce the plastic. The oven melted the tray as it was far too hot even though it was cooked on gas mark 5 as per the instructions. It had done this after 20 minutes on what should have been a 45 minute cook time. The radiators are rusty at the top in the bathrooms. These really need replacing. As it was August we didn't need them but they didn't look nice. There are lots of dehumidifiers around the van. In the lounge and in the bedrooms. The kitchen plenty of glasses including pint glasses wine glasses and champagne glasses so that was good. However some of the plates are chipped and need replacing. The pots have seen better days and again really they could do with replacing. The ensuite bed this had a mattress which had a piece of foam tied around it as a sort of mattress topper. Please just buy a new mattress. The second bedroom is a child's bedroom. With children's single beds. My eldest had to sleep on the sofa bed as he was far too tall for the bedroom. Now it may seem like I'm being picky and moaning but these were my first impressions. A few small tweaks and it would make a nice van into a lovely van. Because of the leak and the oven the owners did offer me a small refund for the inconvenience. I declined this as I felt it wasn't their fault and it was the sites fault for not getting their maintenance team out when requested. The site itself was quite and nice. Which is what I wanted. My kids are 19 and 12 and we spent some quality time together. We had a nice time away

Stayed with south lakes for several years so decided to go across the road to Yealands site.

The site we stayed is is certainly one of the older caravans on the park, which we didnt realise at the time of booking. On arrival, the gate needs fixing and the key safe is almost falling off the wall. Inside the property isnt too bad, however the cleanliness of the caravan is very disappointing. We took our dog, but the smell of wet dog was over powering when we entered the caravan, and it was very clear that the place needed a good hoover as there were white dog hairs all over the carpet. We got the hoover out, which again was full of dog hairs and had the same wet dog smell so needed to be emptied and hoovered again, which filled the cordless vac again. The sofa bed had a matress topper on it which was stained heavily so i took photos and called the owner who didn't answer. In the end i spoke to their son and sent the photos to him and mentioned the cleanliness and how disappointing it was. He told me that he would speak to his parents and get then to call me, but they didn't. There are several windows which wont open and the radiators are rusted and leaking and need replacing. The last point was the amount of disposable dehumidifiers around the place. There must be at least 10 dotted around. Overall, i didnt feel it was worth what i paid, as i could have got better across the road.

Smelt heavily of dogs.

Improved when we opened all doors and windows. Very stuffy in hot weather! Was very clean though.

Very relaxing 5 days in this property.

Great location, plenty of places to visit. Our accommodation had everything you would need for a self catering break We had no hot water one morning but a quick phone call it was quickly restored. If you are looking for a relaxing break this is the place. Sitting on the veranda watching the family of ducks was so lovely.

Absolutely wonderful stay only thing was due to personal preference for a less soft bed and the water tasted a bit weird (almost milky but remained clear) but we usually drink bottles anyways so it wasn’t an issue.

Delightful lodge.

Beautiful site. Had an issue with gas supply and it was dealt with within 30 mins. All the little extras like washing up liquid, hand wash, toilet rolls, bin bags provided were very useful. Loved our stay there. Will definitely book again.

2 dogs, 2 kids and 2 adults! Perfect home from home. Private location and also an area at back of the park that we used to walk the dogs. 2 bathrooms were a luxury too! Loved it!!

What an absolute Gem.

Tucked away just outside Carnforth this Lodge is everything you would desire for a peaceful break. The units are well spaced out to give maximum space and privacy. The unit is on the opposite side of the road to the main site but well within walking distance to the onsite Bar and Swimming Pool. Places like Blackpool, Fleetwood and Morecambe are a short distance away and The Beauty of The Lake District close by. The Lodge itself was spotless and came with a great Balcony. Unfortunately not used during our March Break. Inside was a home form home with everything needed for a holiday break. I cannot recommend this property enough. We will certainly be looking to return.

Very quiet and peaceful site, everything provided in the kitchen to cook a lovely meal.

Very comfy bed in master bedroom but the radiator in on suite was leaking. If your staying for Christmas like we did take your own Christmas tree as none provided.

Lovely location.

Very clean, and plenty of towels. We did have everything we needed. The radiator in the onsuite was a bit leaky. Due to the sofa being a sofa bed it was very uncomfortable for just sitting on for the evening. Apart from that, it is lovely and we would go back again. We went to the main building across the road, to the bar restaurant, ok food and very friendly.

We spent a lovely week at lakeside haven, the property was immaculate and had everything we needed for a holiday, it was just like a home from home.

The beds and sofa were very comfortable and there was everything we needed to make meals in the kitchen. It was well thought out for providing what guests will need during their stay. We look forward to returning again in the future.

Just back from a short break at Lakeside Haven, the lodge was immaculate and super clean, with everything needed for a pleaant stay.

It is sited in a lovely spot overlooking the duck pond and is so peaceful. Needed to contact the owners for advice on a couple of things and they were brilliant - thank you. The beds were really comfortable (wish I knew what sort the mattress was!!) Being a lady of height 5' 11" I did find the single bed in the twin room a little small, but for the few nights we were there it wasn't a problem & it wouldn't stop me going back as everything else was perfect. What a find, I really didn't want to come home.

The best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in.

Only grumble would be that the twin beds are obviously child sized and not meant for adults so think that should be made clear on the advert although there is a pull out sofa bed available. Might be an idea for tv in master bedroom as those using sofa bed might want to go to bed first? Apart from that lovely place, gorgeous setting, quiet, peaceful and a sun trap , plenty of games for kids, lots of location info and 'how to use' booklets for equipment. Absolutely brilliant! Would hire from this person again

Have stayed here a few times in all three sites but have to say the lodge was not really up to standard.

Really needs a deep clean and some repairs ,decking had a serious trip hazard. Main bedroom had an unpleasant dog smell.Outside needs cleaned plus windows .Oven was a nightmare no instructions how to set it .Overall everything was there that we needed wine and biscuits very nice surprise thank you .Loved the setting very peaceful.

Had a brilliant week at lakeside.

The property has everything you need including a complimentary bottle of wine and packet of custard creams that our daughter devoured

Had a wonderful week away.

Caravan was everything we could have wanted. Beds were comfy. It was lovely having 2 bathrooms and the little walk in wardrobe was great to store all our belongings in. Kitchen was well equipped with everything that is needed. In a lovely spot that was quiet and near a small pond. My daughters loved feeding the ducks that wandered up to the caravan and the seagulls even played catch with some bread we were throwing. Site was clean and quiet. Used the swimming pool that wasn't too busy. All in all a fabulous week and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The cottage was pretty good, nice and clean, and was close to the village where you can access shops.

Two of the beds were small and could be a problem for a slightly taller person; apart from that, everything was great.

I booked this for 4 adults and there is nothing saying it does not accommodate 4 adults but the 2 single beds are not adult singles they are children beds.

My daughter and Son-in-law only managed to stay one night, our week away all together was ruined. This is a lovely well equipped clean lodge for a family of 2 adults and 1 or 2 children and should be advertised as such. I am annoyed at this misrepresentation and a booking for 4 adults is allowed when there is actually no sleeping facilities for 4 adults. Unfortunately and reluctantly I have had to lodge a complaint with Sykes. Also a hoover or brush would be handy.

Lovely place to stay ,Park home was excellent, Great location for local shops and visiting the lake district.

However the fishing lakes look a bit tired and in need of renovation and management,there is no dipping tank for fishing equipment to prevent contamination of the fishing lakes.

myself and my husband really enjoyed our stay in your lovely property.

It was very clean and very comfortable and homely and quite. We even had visitors daily ducks and her babies that we enjoyed feeding we called them the waltons family. We did however have a problem with one of the items, we contacted both owners how acted very quickly for us and got a replacement for us and also made sure we was kindley compensated for this. We will come back to this property again and we recommend this to any family for a lovely stay at this lovely holiday park and as we said the owners are very helpful and on hand straight away with any concerns or problems thank you very much hope to see you soon. The static caravan was in excellent condition.

It was clean from the moment we stepped in. All equipment was in its correct place and working. The site was modern and well maintained. The local facilities and clubhouse were also of a high standard and we also made use of Pine Lakes facilities and water activities. Would highly recommend this property and is also a good base for exploring The Lakes area.

Lovely place to stay, couldn't fault the cleanliness and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Only fault was the gate on the decking was loose and needed replacing, you needed both hands to open it, bit difficult when holding bags or dogs .other than that it's great.

Lovely and quiet , comfortable and well equipped

The site a well placed to be handy for the motorway but away from traffic noise.

The cabin was lovely, clean, modern and well equipped and we were lucky enough to get some really nice weather that allowed us to make use of the deck. Recommendd.

This lodge is a lovely home from home.

It was really clean and had everything you need for you break away. The lodge is in a great area with shops and nature walks on your doorstep. The only one thing I could fault was the Internet wasn't great and we couldn't watch the smart TV but you still have the live television available.

Nice quiet spot, good base for getting about the area.

Lakeside Haven is a very nice place to stay and use as a base for exploring the southern Lake District.

The only downside was the size of the second bedroom, for an adult using it, was quite small. Although realistically I am not sure how it could be made bigger. Everything else about it was very comfortable and homely.

Home from home is the best way to describe this holiday home.

It has everything you need and more. The welcome basket was lovely. The area around is great for exploring and the site opposite has a pool and gym you can pay daily to use. Everywhere is dog friendly too. Key box is an easy check in and out. Well worth its money this little gem.

The only issue was the entrance barrier putting the code in so low down but overall very amazing did some great walks with our 4 legged baby !!!!!

Had everything you need for a home away from home. Very clean and tidy and this made for a comfortable stay. Love the ease of check in with the lock box. Would definitely book again if staying in the area and would recommend to friends.

Had a wonderful stay in Lakeside Haven its a lovely accommodation.

Felt at home the minute I walked in. The view to the little lake is lovely and you're not really overlooked. Owner was quick to respond and resolve small issue which cropted up. It's in a perfect area for me as I like visiting Morecambe and Heysham, had I stayed a week I would of visited Windermere and probably Yorkshire Dales. Lakeside Haven is ideally placed for a lot of areas. I would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the view of lake, very comfortable well equipped home.

A hoover would have been useful for us to have. Although some noise from building work on site it didnt spoil our stay.Would book again

We had a great few days staying at Lakeside Haven.

It met all our needs - it was a central location to places we wished to visit, it was clean,spacious and quiet. It felt like a home from home with plenty of appliances/ kitchen utensils. Every cupboard seemed to be filled with thoughtful items from toys for children to dishwasher tablets etc It was a refreshing change not to fill the car with bedding/ towels before we left. Lodge was very comfy with nice decor. We enjoyed relaxing once back from our days out. We visited the Sandcastle, Ingleton, did canal walks and found out that Carnforth station was the set for Brief Encounter!

We had a super week.

The holiday home was well equipped and had lots of little extra touches to make us feel at home. Can heartily recommend this as a base for exploring the area.

I booked this Lodge for my mum whilst we had a kitchen fitted.

She is disabled and registered blind and found it an amazing stay. She felt safe and the site is well-kept. She loved hearing the ducks walking around and enjoyed sitting on the decking when the sun came out. Charlie the Shih-tzu loved his stay too :-). The owners were very understanding when we needed to book an extra couple of days and Sykes were really helpful. We will be booking again in the future and it is a little gem in a fab location. 10/10

The lodge was very clean and the the whole experience very enjoyable can not fault the lodge a 5 star rating anytime please than the owners and yourselves for a very good and comfortable stay
