    “Langdale lodge is exceptional!”

    It is obvious on entering the lodge that the owner takes great pride in making Langdale feel like home from home. It is very cosy and spotlessly clean. It is nice to stay in a dog friendly lodge that has good quality utensils, a comfy bed, fluffy towels, plus a few basic necessities. A great holiday for the dog too as there are lots of good walks within a short drive. The site is clean, well looked after and peaceful. I'd also recommend using the pool, gym and beauty salon too. We found the ...

A great holiday for the dog too as there are lots of good walks within a short drive. The site is clean, well looked after and peaceful. I'd also recommend using the pool, gym and beauty salon too. We found the lodge to have everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return in the future! Carnforth 3 miles; Kendal 14 miles; Windermere 19 miles.

Tewitfield Locks, on the Lancaster Canal, is situated just a few miles north of Carnforth, on the border of the Southern Lake District and the Western Dales. The locks, with the recent addition of a marina, have become a newly developed 'hamlet' with its own moorings, gardens, children's play area and popular country pub and restaurant. Nearby, there is an educational farm with its own craft centre, café, bakery and butcher's shop.
