    “We were very disappointed to realise that the outside decking didn't get any sun at all, as it was lovely weather we were hoping to sit out, my husband especially who's mobility is limited was quite but out about it also because the sun was never on it the decking it was very slippery with moss, this should be mentioned on the website, we knew the M6 was quite close, but didn't expect it to be so noisy, the facilities on site were superb and we had some lovely meals, but not much lighting to push a wheelchair back in the dark and the signage is very poor, my friends and I would not book this site again or recommend it.”

    Many thanks for your feedback. We have noted all of your points but the comment regarding no sunshine we do find absurd. The rear of the lodge and decking is screened by trees offering a high degree of privacy which previous guests welcome. However the decking does receive the sun from mid morning to mid afternoon as can be seen on the pictures in the brochure/ web site. Property Owner

Located just off the M6 and 20 miles south of the scenic Lake District, Carnforth is the sort of place that everyone has heard of, and many desire to discover this hidden gem. Situated at the north end of Morecambe Bay, north of the historic town of Lancaster, 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, it is close to absolutely everywhere! The lovely area just north of Carnforth has tidal sands bordering the huge expanse of Morecambe Bay. It offers plenty of pleasant walks and opportunity to see local birds and wildlife in this fabulous area of Lancashire. Don't forget to visit the lovely old market town of Kirkby Lonsdale.
