The Bobbin, Number 11

This was our third stay at the Bobbin, and we have never been disappointed.

Comfortable accommodation and good facilities.

We have a lovely week at No.

11. Everything we needed was there. Very comfy. It's a lovely site. It would be nice to have another comfy chair as it only sat 3, luckily there was only 2 of us staying. Thanks to the owner for sorting out the slight problem with the boiler straight away, so quickly sorted

Lovely clean caravan, had a few issues, the shower was leaking badly on arrival, did tell owner.

It didn't effect the shower. It is a 4 bed van but only had seating for 3 in the lounge, made it difficult when we tried to watch a film one of us was sat on a dinning chair. (They are not the ones in the picture) The sheets on the double bed were to small and came off every night, ended up sleeping on the bare mattresses as they had no protectors on them, glad we took our sleeping bags. The TV is very small and again not the one in the main picture. Overall these are just niggles the van was clean warm and dry. So a perfect place to use as a base.

We stayed at the Bobbin for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything about the lodge was lovely. This was our second year at the Bobbin, and we were not disappointed. When a problem arose, the owner addressed it as soon as possible. The weather was amazing.

Absolute gem of a place we loved our time here from beginning to end.

Yes it would be nice to have a comfier sofa or decking that went round the side as well but these are only personal things. Overall our holiday was great the site is stunning & great for our dog too. The lodge was lovely, clean & very well equipped. Would highly recommend and certainly without a doubt will he back.

Need updating carpet needs changing larger tv ln living room chair missing in lounge only seating for three people and oven needs deep clean

Nice holiday home on a lovely site.

Lots of places within short driving distance. Enjoyed it so much we already booked to go back.

We had a brilliant week at the cottage.

On arrival, it was lovely and clean and didn't disappoint. The facilities were excellent, and we didn't want for anything. There was a slight problem with the TV, but the owner kindly sorted that out immediately. I would certainly book again.

Sofa was a bit uncomfortable and WiFi didn’t work on TV nit major problem as we were out and about a lot.

Minor thing, the internet was a bit spotty/slow but otherwise a very enjoyable stay

Great stay for the week peaceful place to relac.

Close to all amenities. Would highly recommend.

No mattress protector on the double bed, this should be a priority as a matter of hygiene.

Only half the pillows had protectors on, again this needs addressing. There was a stain on one of the mattress protectors in the small bedroom. Light on cooker hood not working.Outdoor furniture table had some green on the glass and the frame. The glass on the door leading to the decking hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a bad mark on the last quarter of the right hand side door. The bottom strip on the entrance door was full of dirt, which looked like it had been there some time. The batteries for the to Tv remote need changing. Our stay otherwise was very good and in a very good location.

Upon arrival accommodation not been cleaned.

no bedding. dirty bedding from previous guests in wash basket. heating not on .lodge freezing. Cleaners arrived after 40 minutes after check in. Sorted heating out and put bedding on beds. Not a good start but lodge comfortable and cosy after. TV not great if it rained kept cutting out. Very frustrating not being able to speak to any one on the phone.

Boiler breakdown and electrics failure not dealt with as couldn't get hold of anyone to assist.

Eventually had to ask neighbouring caravan for assistance. Cold wet evening without heat or light for over 3 hours not acceptable. Kitchen utensil, plates pans not clean had to rewash before use. We have stayed here before but the standard has dropped. Caravan would benefit from curtain over the door.

It was greatest experience in that cottage.

My kids loved that only they complained about bed but still they enjoyed their room. We all lovedddd it want to go there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bobbin as usual idearly situated for the Lakes Yorkshire Dales but to be honest there's no need to venture afield there's so much to do right here on the doorstep without all the hustle & bustle of the Lakes loads of lovely walks including Warton Crag and Arnside Knot for those who cannot manage the high peaks of Lakeland fabulous strolls along the Lancaster Canal just a few hundred yards up the road the Bobbin is ideal for us lovely and quiet and will continue to draw us back time & again highly recommended John & Milly

Lodge was clean and comfortable.

The site was well maintained only small problem was no dog bins anywhere on site and as there were a lot of dogs in the various lodges this caused a problem.Overall enjoyed the holiday and would recommend this lodge to anyone who is considering this type of holiday.

Really nice caravan unit.

Comfy apart from the really soft main bed mattress which although newish was not to our liking, but that's a personal observation. Well fitted out and stocked. TV had a problem, which was attended to on our last day ...issue with maintainer though not the owners management. Will come again I'm sure, but will bring a topper for the mattress....haha.

We have stayed at the Bobbin 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months so that should be recomendation enough lovely place to stay if your looking for peace & quiet & solitude can't do better great for branching out to the Lakes Kendal Lancaster Morcombe Dales all on the doorstep the Bobbin is by far the best medicine you could take BRILL

Lovely property, well equipped, large bath, very clean, nice location.

The owner was also easy to speak to. If I had to think of any improvements I’d say slightly larger TV in the living room and maybe an air fryer in the kitchen, that being said the property is well equipped in all areas. Was that good I rebooked! Fishing lake on site £7-8 to fish all day with some decent carp mid doubles

A very well thought out property, spotlessly clean and extremely warm and comfortable.

It is a credit to the owner. We shall certainly be returning next year. Very handy for main bus routes and lovely walks on the canal which is quite close by. Lots of amenities available on the adjoining site

We found the bobbin to be spotless clean with Everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

Site is very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed feeding the duck family every morning. The owners were very quick to sort a little problem we had with the TV and very kindly posted back an item we left behind. Would highly recommend

The place was so lovely and quiet.

We made a last minute booking and was accommodated very quickly, thank you for your fast help. The lodge had everything you needed, had great signal and was very warm with very little heating needed given the weather. The owner was lovely, contacted us to make sure everything was going smoothly The lodge was lovely, we were greeted by ducks every morning The only thing I would say is the place is a bit tricky to find in the dark, the instructions on the website we had were slightly outdated so we were going down a country lane following the map on the site.

The lodge was lovely, very clean and tidy and beautifully presented.

The site was also lovely and in the perfect location. There was only one small problem was we assumed swimming wasn't included but the owner was very apologetic and said the website would be amended. Overall very happy with our stay and would highly recommend!

Lovely lodge, the grounds are very peaceful, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, it was a lovely place to chill out, especially as the lodge had seating outside.

Static caravan was very nice.

Shame near the busy road plus the facilities which was supposed to be on site meant we had to cross that road to get to them. With no crossing, very dangerous with children. It's not really for families, which is disappointing. Other than that, it was close to very nice destinations to visit.

The Lodge was very well equipped with everything you would need very clean and comfortable.

Was lovely to have a Modern lodge better than expected when taking my dog The site was very quiet was a bit disappointed we couldn’t find a suitable walking route for the dog to run around Tried to keep the carpet clean but unfortunately the lovely owner had to replace hoover and didn’t bring it until the last day Would highly recommend the lodge

Overall a very nice property however the mattress on the double bed was extremely poor quality- quite thin and you could feel every spring.

A modern, ultra clean caravan in a really good location for travelling around the north west.

The caravan has everything you need, all the crockery, cooking utensils, cleaning products anyone could need. Towels supplied. Owner very friendly if you need to call and speak to him. The site itself is quiet, and full of caravan owners, mostly older couples rather than families, who look after their properties. It's not the sort of site where you hang out, I'd say it's more of a base for going out for the day. Had trouble finding the van itself because it's not on the main site, but the warden helped us find the location. Will totally book here again next time I come to Lancashire.

Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Good sized caravan, very well equipped, comfortable, warm, spotlessly clean. Great location, lovely quite site, the duck pond was a bonus. If we were to nit pick perhaps some sort of curtain over the door would be useful and we struggled a little to find the right site so perhaps a small map with directions from the roundabout would be useful on the web site. Overall a perfect holiday home for our needs,

The lodge was lovely, very bright and exceptionally clean which was nice to see.

The kitchen was very well equipped, which made life easier preparing meals. There was also a nice decking area with comfortable seating. The only negative point I can raise is the double bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress did not give any support and caused a few issues due to be being far too thin. No where near good enough for two adults sleeping in it. I would recommend that the mattresses are replaced to a better quality standard. The living room was furnished to a high standard, nice fire place and cupboard, however furniture was not very comfortable either but we just about managed. However overall the stay was a delight, I would only return if the mattresses were replaced. Full credit for the high standard of cleanliness and overall upkeep of the property. ***Just replace the matress***

We arrived at The Bobbin (great location with parking right out side the static) and was pleasantly surprised with its condition, it was just like a new static with all the amenities one needs for their stay.
