Our stay at Greengarth was lovely.

The space was open and clean, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the appliances were generally easy to use. The home also had quite a few books on different walking trails for the Lake District so if you came unprepared, these were really useful. Only one room was hotter than the rest and the beds there were quite soft which made sleep a little difficult but other than that, our stay was comfortable and we would definitely recommend it to future guests.

The lodge was lovely - very comfortable and clean with good stock of crockery, pans, etc.

We had an elderly person as part of the group and the easy access and level access shower were a real bonus. Good directions provided and instructions for access and use of all the mod cons. Comms from the owner very good. Would definitely stay again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this lodge.

The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Everything was thoughtfully presented, and it’s clear how much care goes into keeping the lodge in such excellent condition. Absolutely everything we might have needed was provided — from washing‑up liquid, towels, and dishwasher tablets to books, board games, and other small comforts that made the stay feel effortless. A chilled bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge — such a kind and completely unnecessary gesture that really showed how much you go out of your way to make guests feel welcome. We truly appreciated the thoughtfulness. Just as a gentle note, it’s always best not to assume that all guests drink alcohol; checking beforehand or offering a non‑alcoholic alternative would ensure everyone’s needs and preferences are comfortably met. Our stay was relaxing, memorable, and exactly what we hoped for. We would absolutely book again. Thank you.
